Street Racing 2020

Street Racing 2020

I think I got this from a sketchy giveaway site. Either that, or I bought it in a really cheap bundle with other games. Anyway, I certainly didn’t buy it. You shouldn’t either.

First off, why does this take up 20+ GB of space. Where does that come from? There’s literally nothing that justifies taking 20 GB of my Hard Drive.

There’s basically nothing to do. You race a single car on a straight line over and over again. When the race starts, you’re not even set to the right direction, so you may have to turn around first while the other car drives away. Or, you might as well not drive at all, and mash “Enter” on the starting point a bunch of times. This is actually fun to do. Just see all the cars drive away, crash into each other and flip into the air. That’s when I had the most “fun”.

Hello! Well! Street Racing 2020! where to begin? well part from the audio and music that i think have caused my to not be able to hear, like i need help now, my ears are bleeding, why ye the music crackles like mad at the bassy moments in the songs and there is no option to change audio! like great! terrible music for the many minuets you will be playing this game for! its totally made with unity! “AI” car in the ONE race you start with and painfully have to repeat to get further in the “game” is a drag race in a “town” what is 10 buildings and a few trees in the most flattest part of the world! This AI can’t go in a straight line, its funny to watch the car ping off into space when it inevitably does crash, i honestly think this is unfinished! controls esc for menu. yeeeeeeeeeeeeee that doesn’t work! Have fun alt Tab out of this game! the 22gb storage required is misleading at best so is the recommended specs needs a 12 core to render like a couple of buildings a small world and some trees! ye laughable! well done steam not checking the games that come onto your platform.

at first i did not expect anything from this game i started of with a simple main menu

saying that i had a ridiculous amount of points and i thought its one of that games after that i played it was kinda good but not perfect at all for example you could just speed up on the middle of the road and just blast through endless. its a racing game…well kinda but fun for a while recommend

Need for Drive - Open World Multiplayer Racing

As the title already suggests, “Need for Drive” is basically “Need for Speed” if you bought “Need for Speed” on Wish and threw in bad grammar for good measure.

Sure, there’s only so much you can expect for paying a buck and it’s mechanically somewhat solid but that’s more a testament to the quality of the store assets the developers threw together and not to the technical proficience of the team (?) behind the game. This becomes bleedingly obvious when it comes to controller support which is fairly broken. The used asset pack offers it out-of-the-box but the devs managed to fumble the input settings to such a degree that barely anything works.

It’s awful, but one thing that makes me confused about this is why are there three games that looks exactly the same, all developed by different developers and self-published? Success Games, Stanislaw dev and CRAZY.DEVS? Something sketchy is going on there.

This game’s actual name is CrashMetal as shown on the game’s depot.

https://steamdb.info/app/1531720/depots/

There’s a mobile game (No longer available on Play Store) that just happens to be called that, except it was developed by Stanislaw which is the same developer name for Crash Metal - Cyberpunk.

Game description key-points: a NO VALUE truck sim

Real player with 6.0 hrs in game

TL;DR: If you just want to goof around driving a truck, this is your title.

I got this title in a bundle for .27 USD. And for a port that wasn’t fully ported? Not bad. Full disclosure: I’m not hauling anything, just driving my truck down the highway, listening to the tires hum. Sometimes stopping to get gas, eat or sleep. Is it a broken title? I dunno, though I did manage to drive off the map.

I then drove my truck boat in the sea until I ended up free falling forever. It was kinda pretty. I then used teleport to go to Quebec and all was well. If you’re looking to just drive on roads, it’s great. Keep in mind it didn’t fully port so mouse not only looks around but is also used to reverse or hit the icons.

Update of my review and thought about this game.

1. I can play this game even though there are still lots of lags, bugs, and crashes.

2. Need optimization.

3. The game crashes when I increase the quality of the texture (not the resolution).

4. It took a long time to load the game (around 3 minutes).

5. Lag mostly appears when I exit menu or game settings and when the game is finally loaded.

6. I am using my laptop to play the game. Not the best experience i have with this game.

7. I can’t click on the writing on the vaccine. There is a person who have a small typo in the vaccine letter and when rejected it turns out it should be rejected (small typo is not tolerated). Also, the writing on the vaccine letter is too small.

Fucking hell, this game is a bore. After leaving this game on once and letting my brother play it, I decided to play it.

The driving in this game is such a bore, it is so clunky and buggy. This game runs so terrible, around 20 frames. To compare, Monster hunter world ran 60 FPS on high. The game itself is difficult, but the game is so un-enjoyable that I barely noticed. The game itself is so slow, everyday you have to drive 1.7k meters to your job and back, each day spending $9 on gas. This game is painfully slow. The main part of the game is being a border patrol worker and getting money for your family, yet that was only a small part of my play through as I spent most of the time driving back and forth, running back and forth. Sometimes running into a game breaking bug that fucked me over. The world around me is so ugly, the characters and models look so empty & dead. The worst of all, this game has the potential to be a survival game x Papers, please, but the game is now abandoned in such a shitty state. Just buy Papers, please.

I bought this game out of pure boredom…

But, I really enjoy playing it when I dont have anything else to do.

Sure the things you can do are limited but it does let time pass by quikly.

7/25/21: EDIT: Money is no longer properly saved and is even deducted after a race, so I couldn’t earn anything after the second car. Going to flip to not recommending unless that’s fixed.

I got this game for $1.09 USD in a bundle. What did I get? A decent port with a lot of fun under the hood, It follows the pattern of a lot of racers. You start off with a basic car and one road. As there’s really no real “race” here, you get points for near misses, combos, distance, etc.

After your first drive or so you should have enough to at least get another road, paint job or both. It takes about half an hour with luck to unlock all of the roads and paint your car and wheels. I say with luck, because this game has a habit of losing your winnings, sometimes thousands of dollars worth.

Road Builder

Road Builder

I felt like the concept of a road building game where you’re limited to a square grid was a good idea. So to get to the puzzle stage, you’ll have to start building the roads up to the intersections-points, which becomes tedious because you have to click so many times to swap between different straights and curves. Once you figure out where roads have to cross, you have to guess your way around the extremely limited intersections. Intersections has “ghost”-tiles that are very hard to figure out how they work. It’s a guess-work which is made difficult because of the limited feedback on pathfinding. Essentially you have to connect all points, then hit play, see a binary “it works” or “it doesn’t work”. With the update you can at least see for each endpoints, but just hovering on an entry/exit should really show the path the cars will take to the opposite.

It’s really lovely game with a good concept and cute graphics.

I thinks it’s definitely worth the price (includes a lot of level, an editor, and Workshop support).

However, some of the puzzles are hard and the games is sometimes a little click- and mouse heavy.
