Teddy Floppy Ear - The Race

Teddy Floppy Ear - The Race

a Kids game through and through, with elements for both kids and adults.

However the game is great but the racing controls are lacking somewhat and that issue there is making this game quite hard for kids even adults to play, the bad controls really make it harder to control the cars, that entire concept needs to be reworked and fixed, every aspect in controlling the vehicle seems to be broken. As you drive the car sometims flips over for no apparent reason as well which makes no sense. Thats the biggest issues i have with the game, the graphics and art is done quite beautifully, it’s colorful, vibrant and very pleasant to look at, cleanly making it a beautiful sight for nay kiddies that plays this title, and to accompany that is some very nice music that enhances the rest of the game play, the in game sounds may get annoying fast but again this game is mostly based for kids and they tend to love their annoying sounds.

tl;dr

A worth-while entry in the Kart Racer genre that is entirely over-looked because it’s a Floppy Ear title! Fun for all ages and a Buy for Kart Racing enthusiasts.

full review.

Teddy Floppy Ear - The Race is a cute, little Kart Racer that has more going on than you can shake a stick at. It has several racing modes, several kart performance upgrades, plenty of unlockables from cars to characters, several difficulty levels to accomodate racers of all skill-levels and some beautiful and cartoony courses with enough variety to keep it interesting. Best of all, it has a surprisingly solid sense of speed, which is core to any good racing game.

Menus work fine after learning how they work. Visuals are great. Would like to have a way to go into reverse after getting stuck against a fence or other obstacle.

Bus Driver Simulator

Bus Driver Simulator

Out of all the bus simulators on Steam, this is arguably the one with the most realistic feeling to it. Much of what you’ll be driving are old, Soviet-era tanks with no power anything that moan and groan over dips in the road. Expect lacking acceleration and the barest hint of functional brakes, which only becomes more pronounced with winter mode enabled. Turning radii are laughably bad, you’ll spend lots of time hopping curbs at first. The AI controlling other traffic is a mix of sensible and terrifying, with cars occasionally lane changing into you for no reason and the odd guy driving the wrong way. Accidents entirely caused by the AI are unusual now but they still happen, which adds a bit of a time limit factor if you hope to complete your route correctly. Passenger models are quite good with displaying individual character, just don’t be surprised to see clones when driving the larger buses. One thing you’ll not see anywhere else in a driving game are pedestrians using crosswalks and occasionally jaywalking…hard to spot sometimes and crunching them comes with a stiff penalty.

At its current state, the game is alright. Beside some stuff you may consider buying it, but it’s better to wait more and see if there will be any improvement.

Pros:

Great map, i hope the German one is as good as the Russian one.

Physics are great, you may even face sliding if you pull the handbrake or understeering if you steer way too quickly.

Graphics are great and it is good seeing that they improved a lot with the updates.

Cons:

There are some major problems that are not supposed to be in there because it is a simulator after all.

You’re an ambitious contractor with a passion for repair shops. The task seems simple, but is it really? Will you handle demolishing walls without having the roof collapse on your head? Can you give them a nice, even paint job? Starting’s always tricky but remember – practice makes perfect!

SELECT BUILDING

Visit the auction service and place bids on garages and repair shops. But you don’t have to wait for your results – you can outbid the competition and buy immediately at a slightly higher price. Better to pay more than end up empty-handed. ;)

CLEAN UP

Many people treat their garage like a dumpster and, unfortunately, before you can get to decorating the interior, you’ll first have to liberate it from old junk. Rusty mufflers, used-up batteries, shelves of empty cans, as well as old fridges and washing machines are just some of the things people tend to stuff and forget in their garages. Sort the recovered materials or try to sell them to scrap collectors.

TAKE OUT THE SCRAP

Clear the place out of old cars. Most of them are no longer operational, so you’ll need the help of a tow truck. The good news is that your old pal Bob happens to drive one those. The bad news is that he’s a terrible driver. Better if you take the wheel and handle towing out the junk yourself.

REMAKE THE GARAGE

Go for your hammer and bust open the old walls! You can make rooms bigger by building new ones and installing new roofs and floors. Choose your preferred paint color and soon you’ll see new life breathed into the garage!

BUY NEW FURNITURE

Place a brand new workbench and tool cabinets, as a more expensive preset, or create a collection yourself by laying out tools individually. Remember that everything needs its proper spacing and placement.

BUY SPECIALIST EQUIPMENT

To make a garage into a shop, you’ll find it necessary to also buy the right devices, such as tire changers, oil collectors, wheel balancers, pneumatic jacks, or engine cranes.

PREPARE A BUSINESS ZONE

No high-profile repair shop would be complete without a dedicated office space. Choose patterns and textures for its separate floor. You can also install a counter, leather furniture, veneer tables and even a sound system. Look after your style by placing around some interesting paintings with an addition of modern LED lighting. You can even hang up a punching bag or set up a bench

POST IT

Once the renovation work is completed, take a few photos of the new facility that present it in an appealing way. Log into an auction site, calculate the costs, set up a few parameters, and put it up for sale! But remember – buyers don’t like being lied to in posting descriptions.

Build up your empire! Invest in new specialist gear (including prototypes) and discover new construction technology. Travel the world in search of inspiration to outdo rival companies. Take part in international contests for flipping freaks such as yourself and win numerous awards!

Yes, I am not an expert and not a critic, I am an ordinary user of the site STEAM, but this game is simply oddly underrated.

This game should be bought for everyone. But she also has disadvantages. Firstly, it is quite demanding (I ran on the intel core i3, 6 RAM). Secondly, the absence of the Russian language. In the third vsgo 2 provided by transport. I have it all

I am glad it only cost me 99 cents, as it is barely 99 cents worth of a game. there is all of two cars(still after like 5 years lol) if you want to be entertained for all of 15 minutes, this is a worthy investment! if you want a game, I would recommend you search elseware. I do hope the developers dont give up on what could be something pretty cool. but I highly doubt this will ever move forward from its current state given i bought the game back in 2018 and am only just now reviewing it.

Sadly too many bugs in this game to recommend it. Which is sad, since it has potential.

Real player with 58.6 hrs in game

It’s a good game compared to previous editions 2016 and 2018. That said, a lot of progress is still needed to emerge alongside other bus simulation games like OMSI 2 or The Bus.

Many minor bugs spoil the gaming experience:

  • The headlights of NPC vehicles are for some non-functional.

  • Crowds of NPCs on the bridge north of the Westfield Corners stop.

  • The rear headlights (brake lights) are not functional on the IVECO Urbanway: They remain either on or off but there is no link with the braking.

Bought the game as soon as it came out. Was so buggy I couldn’t even play it. I waited a month or two hoping the devs would fix things. I was happy to see that they did in fact fix many of the bugs and were actively working to make the game more like what the players wanted. The players wanted something more realistic than the laser point and shoot method that they originally implemented. I continued to watch the game develop though I didn’t play much. So I was excited to see all the new changes since the last time I had played. I got in and ran through the in game vr setup. I immediately ran into my first problem. I opened the hood, after a little trial and error, and tried to bring up the pie menu… where in the flippin' hell is the pie menu? I pressed “A” on one controller and a tablet flies into my face. Annoyed I moved the tablet out of my way and pressed “A” on the other controller, which made me slam to the floor. Okay, okay, “A” equals crouch or shove the tablet against my corneas. I can live with that. I cycle through the rest of the buttons and stick presses only to find myself unable to bring up the pie menu that i remembered from the last time I played the game. Frustrated by this point, I decide I’m going to quit to the main menu and create a new profile so i can run through the tutorial. Surely that’ll show me how to easily bring up the pie menu. I start the tutorial and go through each station waiting for the very uninformative pop-up (shoved into my face at each station) to show me the secret way of summoning the magical pie menu. When I finally got to the pop-up with the pie menu, it showed that I just need to press and hodl (go doge) the trigger button to bring it up. Oh for Pete’s sake, that’s all I needed to do? I swear I did that, but maybe I didn’t hodl (go shiba) the trigger button down long enough. Must be it. I pulled the trigger and waited… and waited… and waited… four hours later… I decided it wasn’t that trigger must be the other one, right? So I pulled that trigger and waited… and waited… and waited… you get the idea… Didn’t work. I look at the table again. It clearly says to press and hold the highlighted button to bring up the pie menu. The trigger is highlighted, where in the flying flapjack is the pie menu? I gave up trying and quit the game. Came here to read the recent reviews to see if anyone else was having the same issue. Sure enough, there was a developer response telling some one to active that laser first (stick press) then point at a vehicle and hodl (go … crap it crashed) the trigger button to bring up the majestic pie menu that I’ve been desperately seeking. Now are these instruction correct? I don’t know, I have yet to return to the game in order to find out. If I do return one day, don’t hodl your breath (okay… okay.. I’m done) , I will try to come back to this review and update it since if you’re still reading at this point, I have you completely captivated and you must be hanging on my every word. But in all seriousness, why are you still here reading this? I’m sure you have better things to do. I know I do… not… fml

Update:

Had to write one more time.. they have added so much to this game that was not in the original and still surprise me with every new update. Simple things from basket carts to move parts around easier to more advanced VR features that would take to much time to add here. IF you have not or are on the fence the game to me is worth every penny and more..

Edit:

They have already added the system were you purchase new parts and imagen they are delivered to you and you can then manually put them on. They have somehow increased load times and so many other fixes. If you have not tried this game yet give it a go and remember everything people have asked for they are trying to do. Please if you have reviewed this game negatively give it another shot to me they have done more than asked for. I will be looking forward to anything these guys work on in the future.

Might as well just be called “Hold Right Arrow to Win”. This was a complete chore to play. The courses are practically the same, just varying how high and low the hills and valleys are. Z/X is used to rotate your vehicle (and perform tricks, of which there are only 2) but it seemed random at best whether they actually helped me to win or not. The music stops playing when you’ve played a track to long without completing it and sometimes you will lose randomly (only seen 3x in the last 5 levels of the race portion). A complete ripoff at the full price of $10 and pretty much still a ripoff on a deep sale.

i received this game for free as a part of the pre-release testing phase. with that being said, i offered to pay for access and had been anticipating this title for months before it released from the first time i saw a post about it on FB.

the game hit a lot of check boxes for me right out of the gates such as

[x] visually appealing and performant

[x] good use of quality audio

[x] multiple control schemes to suit multiple play styles (the virtual steering wheel in a recent update worked very well and was VERY fun compared to the original implementation)

Add me on steam and DISCORD. Anyone who wants to play this game. TRAMPASAURUSREX #5046 Simply one of the best VR games around. I was sure I was gonna be dissapointed, cause I’m just not as into racing games as I was. But because I used to be I still kinda know what to look for. While this may be simplistic in the racing mechanics, it is amazing fun. It actually isn’t completely simple. Easy to play using the toggle on a standard motion controller. But if you use the virtual wheel, a bit of a challenge at first. I put the sensitivity all the way down, and for a round wondered if it could even be made to work consistently. Then I figured it out. I was just moving my wheel arm around a bit too much. I sat it my girls rocking chair with a pillow under me and one on my back. lol Footstool in front of that. I laid my arm a little on the arm rest, hand and controller angled toward my lap/legs. I found that if you just rest your arm in the same position, and rotate your hand like you are holding a little wheel, which you are, then it is perfect. I figured out that I can have even more control of my car with the virtual wheel. Only took me three rounds to get the sweet spot. Use the centering button like this. Lean forward a little bit, hit center, then relax back. Gives ya a little more space. Also makes watching the rear view mirrors easier, and also give ya some leaning room for throwing stuff behind you like an a$$#@$^. lols I adore this game. Great for parties, great for online. Even the bots are fun. The ability to combine powerups is awesome. I was rocking super chickens a lot. lols But I wiped everyone else out and lapped them with a triple chicken bomb. hahha. The racing aspects are fun. The courses are fun, with crazy events breaking them up, like a giant monkey throwing stuff at all of you. You can be in the front and suddenly be at the end. You can also, with some smart driving and use of powerups switch that and go right past everyone to number one. The power ups require some aiming and actual skill, for most, and many of them, if you are very sharp, and have good instincts and reflexes, can be dodged. Everything in this game is perfectly balanced. If this is early access then I cannot wait to see what they do with it next. The people asked for a virtual wheel, and the devs delivered almost immediately. It really does feel like you are driving it with a little toy wheel when you get your hand in that sweet spot and figure it out. Really adds to the immersion and fun. Plus I hear it supports almost all driving wheels. The devs have really outdone themselves and anyone else with this game. Love it. 💖💖💖💖 Little tip, don’t grind the break button when drifting. It seems to work better most of the time to tap it. Hooks those corners nice and tight. Also gets you out of trouble. Of course if you know you have an enemy coming up on you, and you saw their weapon, sometimes you can break, drop back behind them dodging their weapon, and then use your on them. Depending on the situation. I like to play tricky. lol Also there is just enough bullying to make it viable, require a lot of skill, and enough to make it fun. If you see someone close to a wall and they have to turn into a corner. Give them a little ram and they slam. hahah. For when you don’t have a powerup, or you wanna save it for the next guy. Again, a great game. This game would also be fun on any platform, whether it is flat screen or vr. It’s mostly a game for people who like to be friendly jerks.
