Fork Truck Challenge

Fork Truck Challenge

Very sloppy game play. The fork truck either goes super slow or super fast. Damage occurs to the loads for no apparent reason. Its not worth the frustrating playing it. I removed the game from my computer.

At first I thought it was just another Forklift Simulator but when I received the key through a Twitch chat I decided to have a look at the game.

The Single Player part is basically riding around and finding out how to do things. Since it’s an Early Alpha game you would expect less polished objects but the developer has crystal clear textures on the objects.

Multiplayer is riding around between other people, hoping you don’t need the stack they’re moving around.

For a Early Access game this is very well made, good to see that the developer has put effort into the game and is still adding new things to it.

Trucking

Trucking

Review update.

Looks like I didn’t waste my money. The game is developing and is slowly turning into something original. The last update (update 0.0.4.1) brought to the truck simulator … The economic system! No kidding, since 1998, for the first time I see the economic system in this kind of simulator. I remember how day and night I played in Hard Truck (Rig’n’Roll, King of the Road) and dreamed that in these games the world would be somehow more diverse. Do not get me wrong, for 1998 Hard Trusk was amazingly magnificent and for me it is an ageless classic. But years passed, and there was nothing new.

Diesel Guns

(VERY LONG EARLY ACCESS POST)

Nowadays is really hard to find some good drive combat videogame, and while Diesel Guns is still in developement, it is still promising and has a good foundation.

Sayd this, maybe is because of it’s Early Access nature but there are things that definitely need improvement in order to make it a good game that can bring back the Drive Combat genre.

First off, let me list what’s good about it so far:

  • Good weapons variety. I especially like that you can choose which weapons to equip for each kind, and apparently it seems there will be more in the future.

If you’re a fan of games like Hardware: Rivals and Vigilante 8, you’ll love this game. the balance of weapons seems just about perfect, and so does the gameplay. Everything just works great. The speed and pacing is perfect. You’re never struggling to try to make a certain mechanic like, ramming or ground pounding work right, it’s not TOO easy either, but it just feels… GOOD when you use it. as of right now, the game is severly lacking in overall content due to it being an early access alpha title, but what’s there will make the gameplay feel near complete when you’re in a deathmatch and blowing up enemies! But for $5, it’s absolutely worth the current state that it’s in.

gRally

gRally

[Disclaimer: was part of Closed Beta stage before Early Access, and got my Steam copy for free]

gRally is a rally simulation by a small and pasoniate team who had experience in the Richard Burns Rally mod scene. The current release is the definition of ‘early access’. It is wrong to come in an expect a flawless product with huge volume of content, and I believe the early access price point that the developer has provided is more than fair.

Even in this early stage driving feels really good has already features support for mods, direct drive wheels, external telemetry tools (such as SLI displays), triple screen w/ seprate rendering, VR headsets, motion platforms and more. While there is still lots of work to be done before this would be considered a finished product, the team has shown they are willing to listen to all feedback and work to quickly resolve any concerns.

Review has been edited after fitting correct tyres.

Ok time for my first impressions. I have been playing this on and off for a few days so this review is not a knee jerk but fairly well considered. A lot of what I have to say seems negative but hopefully the developers will take some points on board.

Firstly it just doesn’t feel like how I would expect a rally car to drive. The car seemed to under-steer terribly but reading the forums I found this was because I had the tarmac tyres on (I was racing on the gArena which requires the forest tyres). With the correct tyres installed I could put in some consistent fast last times and the whole thing feels much better now but not how I imagine a modern rally car would feel. I still maintain that the cars feel slow but maybe other factors are at play such as camera zoom.

Long Road

Long Road

It’s kind of broken, it doesn’t make a lot of sense and it looks like an alpha for a PS1 game, but I really like it.

It’s a game about trying to guess where the invisible checkpoints are and trying to hit all the checkpoints as quickly as possible. The online leaderboards work and the relatively small number of players made it realistic for me to try to get the record for each of the ten tracks, which was fun since I’m usually not very competitive.

The driving feels good, or at least learning how to properly control the car is fun, and there are several cars to unlock, each with its own speed (I think) and handling (maybe). There are two modes, racing and drifting, and the cars handle differently depending on which mode you’re playing. All ten tracks can be played in both modes and there are separate leaderboards for the modes, meaning the squirrelly drifting controls can have speed records of their own.

It’s a long road for creating a good and enjoyable game

Horrible car race / drifting game.

  • All achievements are for completing the 20 tracks. But it’s a pain.

Cons:

  • It feels like you are driving with a 3D modeled car on a freshly puked out lowres texture plain landscape

  • Sometimes there are trees and walls that make your car stop or partly flip over

  • Realism meh. Tho you have tire smoke but no interaction with the terrain (dust/gravel/grass)

  • There is no 3D Terrain (only at the game borders, but not relevant for the gameplay).

My Mad Road - adventure racing & shooting

Welcome to an unpredictable cartoon world, where you play by your own rules. From crazy fun to brutal deeds. Earn cash peacefully or at any cost. Do you prefer action or peace? Good and evil – that’s what the world you’ll find yourself in is going to pay you back with.

Car drive

WE RECOMMEND THE PLAYERS TO DISTANCE THEMSELVES FROM THE EVENTS AND TAKE THEM WITH TONGUE IN CHEEK.

gameplay:

Tank up your ride, take a dog, abduct a girl, shoot or befriend something. Focus on the missions or wreak havoc – the most important thing is to have some bucks in your pocket.

My Mad Road is a completely new game where the main rule is powerful fun. You play as a controversial character who prefers to get around by car, but often needs to get out of it to take care of some business. Time passes in the game, so it’s divided into days, during which you carry out selected missions. The world’s full of life, so the missions are just a side goal, while the rest lives at its own pace. Unleash your imagination and join the events unfolding in the world of My Mad Road.

many Paths and Solutions

In every situation, you can act in multiple ways. We keep striving to make the gameplay unlimited by anything.

Some actions in the game are only available upon approaching an object or a person. The character keeps growing, so they aren’t able to do everything at the first stages of the game.

The greater the risk, the greater the reward

Remember not to make too many enemies, as they can break or kill even the biggest badass.

the Game’s Atmosphere

The game is teeming with life (animals, people) you can interact with. The game is dominated by desert and farmland views, but there’s also a good deal of fantasy and modern views.

TLDR; Dead playerbase, ok game, would play again.

I really enjoyed the game, it was fun and exciting to play. Unfortunately, it had a rocky start with numerous issues that should have been hashed out in a closed beta. Optimization seemed to be a large issue for people with mid-grade to potato tier computers with unbearable stuttering. I had high fps but still crashed out of game almost every round when the game first rolled out. Crash logs didn’t even automatically upload, you had to go to their discord and upload manually. Along with other problems it was essentially unplayable for most people at the time.

Pure Rock Crawling

Pure Rock Crawling

Let’s start with the countless hours of spin tires, mudrunner and beam NG i’ve played to get my rock crawling fix. IRL i own a 08' JK on one tons/40’s, but have to travel far to wheel. Having a game dedicated strictly to just the art of crawling is amazing because i may not get the full satisfaction i get from the real thing, but these sims are the closest thing. This game specifically will be much better than those counterparts because it’s strictly dedicated to crawling rather than a logging road or a crash dummy course. If crawling interest you, then i believe you should most certainly purchase this game and support the great work this dev have put into this games current state. Which it’s in great shape and hopefully continues with the same momentum with your support ;)

[EDIT: 11/1/21018 Originally I said that the physics made the cars feel as if light, miniature cars. I no longer feel that’s the case. Not sure which update is the cause, but it did a great job of crreating the feeling of full size, full weight vehicles. VERY NICE!

–—————————————————

Pure Rock Crawling is one of those games on Steam that calls out for a three-tier rating system. There’s plenty of good (and some not so good), so I decided to enjoy the best, and rate based on the game concept and hopes that come with all Early Access games. Thus, a positive rating, and every hope for a brighter, larger future.

RAILROADS Online!

RAILROADS Online!

Even in it’s Early access state RO has a lot of potential The Locomotives are very well detailed and are pretty fun to operate. The same goes for the rolling stock as there is a lot of little details most developers tend to overlook. Then there is the map itself. Even though it uses the basic textures from Unreal 4 the landscape still looks amazing at times. However it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. Track laying can be a pain in the ass and the terrain and bridge tools are a bit clunky. The Link & Pin couplers have a tendency to break randomly when loading a saved game while other times they have a tendency to launch into space. And while the game is meant to be played ONLINE with Friends don’t expect them to stay on very long if you have a slow internet connection as it is a Peer to Peer Hosting system that RO runs off of. However this also means that you can in a sense play this as an offline Sandbox Game since when you Host a Server you only need to be online to launch the server itself. Once the Server is running you can play the game offline and not worry about getting dropped randomly. Naturally however I give these issues a pass since the game is still in Early Access and as such is bound to have some issues. The game itself is still very fun and like I said before has a lot of potential. Of coruse it’s not for everyone, but if you are interested in Turn of Century American Narrow Gauge Railroading, t’s woth checking out.

After 81 hrs of play time, I must say AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! Yes it’s got bugs. Did you report them so they can get fixed? No? then STFU! I have 1 to 3 others working in this game for me. (Yes they work for me. I get more money and XP faster so we can all have good engines) Always have others join your company, always make a password so a**holes don’t join your world and destroy all your hard work. Yes ghost links and tree regrowth is a small problem sometimes. Hey, it’s still under construction, just like your RR! Got a good idea? Go to the Dev’s Discord and tell him. Is it fun? Very much so. does it have bugs? Yeah but so does CyberPunk 2077 and it’s a finished game. Should you buy it? IDK, I did, it’s up to you how to spend your money. I give it a two thumbs up. But hey what do I know. Will you enjoy playing it? Did you like playing with trains when you were a kid? I still like playing with trains, That’s why I work at a railroad museum. If you to like playing with trains, then by all means get this game.
