Intergalactic Transfer Station

Intergalactic Transfer Station

Hundreds passenger daily from different planets change their spaceships in the famous Intergalactic Transfer Hub. That’s your turf. Your work. Your life.

Here, you control everything: from sending spaceships to docks through eliminating alien viruses to building special defense perimeters.

Key features:

  • Manage the docking of spaceships.

  • Take care of passengers.

  • Expand your transfer hub.

  • Control the economy on many levels.

  • Watch out for unexpected events.

Expand your station

Your Intergalactic Transfer Hub has to expand constantly to receive more and more passengers. You may buy as many platforms as you want. Build and remodel shops, improve your facilities and upgrade machines. Take care of different alien species, building hotels for chlorine-breathing beings or restaurants for creatures fond of lava food. Optimise your station design to increase passengers flow, arranging corridors, shops and waiting areas to your exact needs. But do not forget about the station’s defences!

Receive travelers

Every spaceship brings travelers from different planets. You decide when and where it will dock. And you have to help passengers find their connections. But travellers will also spend time in your Intergalactic Transfer Hub, where they can eat, shop, sleep - and spend money! Remember that different species have different needs. And some maybe dangerous!

Expect the unexpected

Terrorists. Biohazard contaminations. Asteroids flying nearby. Alien warships. You have to be prepared for everything! Control travelers who look suspicious or dangerous. Keep an eye on new types of passengers. Kill viruses before they contaminate your Intergalactic Transfer Hub and the inhabited world. Build special defensive cannons. Prepare for everything, but still be ready for the unexpected.

Optimize economy

Make good use of the economic opportunities of the Intergalactic Transfer Hub. Check your income and expenses balance. Observe which businesses are most profitable. Change taxes and prices. But do not forget about your staff and passengers. All of them have to be happy and healthy. And, on top of all this, you also need to establish the good reputation of your Intergalactic Transfer Hub.

Dyson Sphere Program

Dyson Sphere Program

Easily my game of the year. In my decades of gaming, never have I encountered a game this satisfying.

It’s basically Factorio in space, but there are 2 major differences: the end goal, and the visuals.

In Factorio, your goal is to launch a rocket.

In DSP, it’s to plan and build your very own fully customizable Dyson sphere.

Factorio’s moment-to-moment gameplay is a bit more engaging and interesting, but as soon as you put your first solar sail into orbit around your home star, you’ll know this game is something special.

Pros:

  • Visually stunning

  • Straightforward tech & production graph

  • Planets

  • Strip mining planets

  • Good early to mid game performance

  • Feels more accessible than Factorio or Satisfactory

  • Modding (can help with the cons below)

Cons:

  • Late game performance and file sizes can become horrible

  • Tedious editing of the titular Dyson Sphere

  • Boring and repetitive placing of mining equipment and factories late game

  • Not much replay value beyond going for certain achievements

  • Late game is practically waiting for hours for research/mining/achievement progress

Overall recommendation: 10/10. Full-length review below.

Graphics: 8/10. Everything is quite good in terms of graphic quality, even for my old tech.

Performance: 9/10. Things tend to get bad once a stupid amount of stuff is visible; again probably because of my graphics.

Gameplay: 10/10. This game has a lot of amazing features already and the developer is hard at work to keep the game running smoothly.

Bug control: 10/10. This game has a small amount of bugs due to how diligent the developer is in killing them once they’re found.

Laid back Factorio-Port royal-Anno esq grindfest … in space.

Factorio “elements”:

You can create and later design “factories”(stations) that you use to refine ores and liquids

into advanced and usable forms. What’s different here is that you need a fleet of ships to do

the mining, delivering and selling of the resources, you have to buy them at the start but

after some point you can also build and design these ships yourself.

Port royal “elements”:

You command a fleet of ships that you can put into specific roles, as traders, power

Infinifactory

Infinifactory

Infinifactory is the best puzzle game I’ve ever played. It takes something truly compelling for me to spend hours, sometimes days at the end, perfecting a single puzzle, and yet I have never felt frustrated. This is a game that truly earns the description ‘engaging.’

Everything that happens in this game is because you made it, and you need to have your brain firing on all cylinders to make it through. But fear not, any new players considering this game: the mechanics are easy to approach and you’ll be hooked in no time. Players who have enjoyed any other game by Zachtronics (like Spacechem or TIS-100) or who like similar games with similar mechanics (Factorio, Big Pharma, even the city-builder games by Impressions) will absolutely love Infinifactory, but I think anyone willing to giving Infinifactory a chance will love it too.

This game puts you in the position of an alien abtuctee that is tasked with manufacturing various constructions from supplied materials for your new masters. Your role is to design and construct the “factory” to make each construction. In order to prove that your process works, you must deliver 10 perfect copies of the requested item to a “scanner” that validates that each copy delivered is correct. As you progress, you are given additional tools, more challenging conditions/restrictions and more complicated items to assemble.

  • Build the hull, maintenance, flooring, and wall layers of a ship to make it functional and free of oxygen leaks. Place wires, pipes, and cables on the maintenance levels to implement connectivity amongst machinery across the ship.

Machinery

  • Build machines to help run systems in your ship. Oxygen harvesters make a sufficient supply of oxygen for the crew. Storage tanks contain fuel to be used in thrusters. Planet Nomads

Planet Nomads

[May 16, 2019: Now that the game is released, I wanted to edit this review to reflect changes to the game since I originally wrote it,]

Will you enjoy Planet Nomads?

  • Yes if you enjoy sandbox building games.

  • Yes if you enjoy being creative.

  • Yes if you enjoy problem-solving (not fixed puzzles but real creative “how can I put this together” building challenges).

  • Yes if you enjoy a beautiful environment.

  • Yes if you enjoy a good soundtrack.

  • Yes if you enjoy single player.

  • Yes if you enjoy being able to customize your game world.

Gameplay (Short Summary)

Let me start off this review by saying, that the game currently has very little to offer in terms of gameplay if you are not much of a creative person, but if you are, then be prepared to a big grind fest early on in the game until you get the ability to construct auto miners, after that prepare yourself to the next gameplay phase - driving simulator, because resources are scattered across multiple biomes and while driving at max speed from 30-50kmph, it takes a while to get you around the map.
