NASCAR Heat 5

NASCAR Heat 5

Give this game a chance guys. At a glance it looks like a copy/paste of Heat 4. But try playing this for an hour or two then go back to Heat 4. You will see and feel a significant difference. Several tracks were improved both visually and on how they drive. On top of that, the AI have been improved a bit, providing the most fun single-player racing I’ve seen in a heat game. I honestly barely played single player in Heat 4, but i’m enjoying it a lot more now. Another great thing is the new custom car options. Sure it’s no paint booth but to me it’s satisfactory for the most part and they will be adding more templates via DLC. Custom seasons in championship mode are also awesome, though sadly you can’t put tracks that series doesn’t normally go to such as Cup at Road America, though this might change.

First off let me say, I’ve been sim racing for 3 decades (which yes, makes me old!). I started with Indianapolis 500: The Simulation and have played each and every Papyrus game since. I have also run iRacing and I have been a HUGE fan of each and every one of those games.

This year, during the pandemic, NASCAR Heat 4 was on sale and I thought, what the heck, I have time on my hands, lets give this thing a try. I set out wanting to not like it to be very honest. My expectations were low, quite low in fact. After running my first few races I felt I was liking it just enough to try running a career. A few days in I realized something. I was having fun. More fun than I expected. I kept playing, and my fun level continued to rise. I continued to play NR2003 for my weekly races but kept coming back to NH4. It was a damn fun game. Was it perfect, absolutely not. But, the racing was very good, the setups fun to build and I was moving on up in my career.

KartKraft™

KartKraft™

It’s been in development hell for the last 11 years but was released as a Steam Early Access title three weeks ago. It currently has one class of kart (but 9 chassis to choose from) and three tracks. There’s a free run mode and a leaderboard mode (you race the ghost of the person ahead of you until you beat them. Then you do it all over again). Leaderboard is addictive. Very, very addictive.

I’m utterly hooked on this at the moment. It’s a little rough here and there - the kerbs are a little unpredictable at best, but it looks stunning and the sound is absolutely spot-on for a little two-stroke (especially when you go under the bridge at PFI). It also handles (mostly) really nicely. A bit understeery, which the devs are working on, and there’s lots of stuff missing like tyre temps, brake temp etc.

First thing i want to say is, What an amazing accomplishment for a small team. I do a lot of karting here in Ireland for fun, and KarkKraft is as close as you can get in a game. I have my own rig including vr and this game brings racing to a new level. The Tracks in early access are great, my personal fav is PFI. Really looking forward to more tracks. The AI are fairly good, can be a small bit unaware of your position on the track at times but all round very good, I think the game needs an aggression and strength control bar for the AI, And there hardest setting at the moment is a bit weak, hopefully in the full game we will have an option to add more than 8 AI karts. The Karts themselves are very good, physics and handling 9/10 only one small prob with them, they flip over a bit to easy at times, specially if u touch a curb, which is not life like. In FFB settings i think you need to add a collision control bar, i have ffb up high for that real feel, but if i have a collision on hit a wall my wheel shakes a bit on the violent side! I hoping track building is included, very important for the modders. and as for track ideas i think Spa should be looked at. I personally never maid a review before for any game, But this is worth every letter, Hope the feedback helps, Thanks again Team.

HEY HEY WOWOWOW HEYHEYHEYHEY WOW LOOK HERE LOOK LISTEN! HEAR ME OUT, OK?!

pants ok..

(DOWNLOAD JOYTOKEY TO REMAP KEYBOARD KEYS TO YOUR WHEEL. SERIOUSLY)

First and foremost. This game has disappointed not only me but everyone who bought it.

This game is faaaaaar from what I both wanted and expected. But thats my fault for letting my imagination take hold instead of being realistic. Lets look at this package we have here. rFactor 2. What a sim… once you get over that steep learning curve that is the UI. Even with the updated UI s397 put on it, it is still a major pain in the rectum than it has any right to be. But the physics.. the PHYSICS are so good. Coming from Machines amazing NASCAR Mods, this game matches up to what I feel on rF2 with its own feel. The tracks on N21 are easily its best selling point, just feels so right even though there is so much wrong. This game is missing alot of key assets, such as Assignable Buttons for steering wheel, use of H-Pattern Shifters or a Practice only mode. I hate that so much is missing but I can understa.. WAIWAIWAIT HOLD ON HOLD ON PLEASE JUST LISTEN.

FIX THE GAME!! This is a joke!

PRO: Graphics

CONS: Everything else about the game.

To pay $90 for this is absurd. I have played several hours trying to not leave a negative comment, but this is a complete joke.

Don’t put out a game and then try to work out the bugs. That should be done first and foremost.

Dire Wolf Game Room

Dire Wolf Game Room

I tried this app playing the solo version of Dune Imperium. The app itself is great and is identical to the Android version. However, the app window was limited to a postage card-sized window that could not be resized on my HP Spectre x360 Convertible Windows laptop. It was hard to see the card text unless the computer was brought very close. Once this issue is fixed I will heartily recommend the app.

GLADIABOTS - AI Combat Arena

GLADIABOTS - AI Combat Arena

This is a superb, unique game that deserves to be even more popular than it already is.

The concept of the game is that the player designs their own AI via customizable ‘nodes’ (colour-coded tiles that the player can arrange into a logic tree to determine their robots' behaviour) which then dictate how their team of 4-8 robots (from four different classes) perform in battle against ‘enemy’ AIs.

The logical array which the player creates (featured in several of the screenshots in the store page) can be anywhere from just a handful of tiles at first, to literally hundreds (arranged into named sub-AIs if the player wants) that function like a sort of flow diagram for each robot, governing their priorities and thus responses based on a seemingly endless combination of determining factors e.g. what friendly or enemy bots are doing at that particular moment, how far away they are, or hundreds of other parameters native to the ‘check-box’ like options that allow the player to refine what each tile actually ‘says’.

Real player with 478.5 hrs in game

In Gladiabots you programm a platoon of robots that will then compete autonomously in a game arena against other platoons. You have to plan and consider carefully when creating your robots' AIs before actually hitting the arena as you can no longer interfere once the match has started: The robots are then on their own, equipped with nothing but your programmed instructions.

There are four different bot classes resembling a rock scissors paper scheme with an added tank and several different game modes (three for online ranked matches vs humans).

Its a lot like Evospace..

Mine and cook ore into metal bars then use it to make components for more advanced products after you researched the blueprints. The game is mostly about building structures to place your machines and organize the logistic of your factory.

Sounds are awful

Graphics too

I still had fun playing it
