Time to Morp

Time to Morp

Time To Morp is a game about weird and quirky creatures, building bases, exploring worlds, automation, research and much more. But most importantly - friendship!

Explore a vast world!

Search for new resources, discover different biomes and rare plants, climb mountains or delve into caves, search for secrets or just chill near a lake while some sneaky morp is trying to steal your sandwich…

Morp?!

Morps! A whole bunch of cute little creatures! Some are friendly, some are not, some bite, and some just run in circles and scream… But the most important part is - they MORPH!

Morph?!

Shapeshift, change, mutate, you name it! Feed it metal - crunch! - it’s producing metal now! Leave it near water - splash! - it’s your personal walking fountain! Mix and match to produce every resource you need!

Build a base!

Place fences, pipes, pumps, wires, decorations, lights, music and sit back in appreciation of a job well done and everyone living in peace and harmony… for five minutes tops.

Automate everything!

Use our patented Not-So-Complicated Pump Systems™ to easily automate everything from morp routes and food logistics to sleep schedules and power consumption. Set it up and watch everything go horribly wrong.

Fun Multiplayer!

Invite your friends to play, explore, build and collectively wonder who fed fruit to an electrical morp and now you don’t have enough electricity and oh my god why is that tree on fire

Research, expand, unlock!

Collect resources, receive gadgets, invent tools, craft vehicles, invest in technology. Spread out, travel, explore. And never complete the main story because you have this little thing you can optimize juuust a little bit more.

Autonauts

Autonauts

Thanks to Aaron and Gary for their game and their thoughtful and constructive response to my hasty previous review.

I would recommend this game for fans of complex city or factory games, and for anyone even mildly curious about programming.

Autonauts is a beautiful little zen garden in which you build and operate a colony of spoiled and helpless colonists, using an unlimited army of multi-purpose programmable robots. The player is never penalized for not playing a certain way. The colonists become more and more demanding with each level, but nothing bad happens if one of their demands is not met. There’s nothing even demanding that you raise colonists at all, you and the bots can happily build and play without that progression but higher levels of construction are only unlocked by meeting colonist goals.

Duration: ?? hours – 70 Hours played at time of review, still lots to discover!

What is it? Don’t let Autonaughts’ cutesy aesthetics fool you, Autonaughts is a hardcore colonisation and crafting sim. Starting with nothing, you build up your colony automating activities to robots (which you also craft). Virtually everything can be automated, and programming is simple: The robots just copy what you show them (and then you insert repeat and conditional loops). Programming is all done keyboard free (mouse and CTRL key only required). The GUI is excellent.

Bots Are Stupid

Bots Are Stupid

A 2D game where you try to maneuver robots through different platforming levels. It sets itself apart from conventional platformers by offering an alternative, more precise way of user input. Instead of directly controlling the character’s movement, the player has to write a set of simple instructions telling his robot what to do. The bot will then follow those instructions precisely and maybe (or maybe not) finish the level.

Beginner-friendly

The commands for the robots are designed to be as simple as possible in order to make the game accessible to anyone. This means that you are not required to have any prior programming/tech knowledge to be able to “program” the bots. The game might also have an educational value by introducing players to the very basics of scripting/programming in a playful way.

Features

  • 18 uniquely challenging Platformer Levels

  • Ultra-precise control by writing instructions

  • Grappling hook, Speed boosters, Conveyor belts

  • Level Editor + Level Sharing

  • Global Leaderboards of each level’s best scripts

  • Infinite supply of bots!

Charge!

Charge!

There is a lot of game here for a very low price. 5 hours in and I have barely managed half the levels. The mechanics are good. Charges move consistently, so often a solution is to create a lucky path rather than using control elements. The challenges are quite varied tasking you in different ways. At times it is frustrating and at times rewarding. The graphics are rather crude and simple, music is meh and the interface is acceptable. No bugs or crashes. Runs fine on Linux. My main problem with these types of games, is I find them too short, but this isn’t an issue here. The developers put in a lot of content. The sub-circuits are well made and fit naturally in the game. Overall, it’s a challenging game that should keep you entertained for quite some time for a pittance.

Dance of Cubes

Dance of Cubes

According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly.

Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground.

The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don’t care what humans think is impossible.

Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black.

Ooh, black and yellow!

Let’s shake it up a little.

Barry! Breakfast is ready!

Coming!

Hang on a second.

Hello?

Barry?

Adam?

Can you believe this is happening?

I can’t.

I’ll pick you up.

Looking sharp.

I’m a beginner.

Recently, according to untiy’s course,

Learn to play tank games.

This is a military war as the background, single real-time strategy game.

In the game, players can manipulate tanks at will. On the battlefield simulating real terrain, they can make full use of their tactical skills to compete with enemy tanks!

As time goes by, there are more and more enemy tanks. How long can you hold on?

Defence Your Organism

Defence Your Organism

A top little Tower Defense game - the best 90 cents I have spent for a long time!!

There are 6 levels. Lacks a lot of bells and whistles (including you can’t prioritise targets), but I am having fun trying to beat my high scores (also wish the game would record best level scores).

Placement and tower selection is important. The levels finish at level 30.

Notwithstanding, I have already got my monies worth. I would be interested to see this game develop further and would be happy to pay more for much extended version 2 with those " bells and whistles.

There’s… not much to the game right now, really. Story mode has two levels which are extremely short, and there’s an endless mode as well as a hell (hard) mode.

Your guy walks forward, you build ramps as he goes, or you destroy the ramps with lasers if you don’t need them.

Gameplay feels a bit clunky, I think being able to stay zoomed out while playing would help. I would prefer the guy to be a bit faster, but gravity a bit lighter (less realistic).

Sound and music are decent, and graphics are pretty good. Game also lags a bit, probably needs to be optimized.
