Lazy Galaxy 2
I like this game, but it takes a while to appreciate it,
My first impression of this game was well, not good – the graphics are old school, the combat uninteresting and some of the stuff like achievements seemed to be impossible,
After 84 hrs of playing it though, I really like it. Its addicting. It has depth.
The combat really is a little funky but that might be idue to my graghics card (its not the best in the world).
It is well thought out,.
IT REALLY IS LAZY. The game lives up to its name. You don’t have to be particularly paying close attention to it. It is a good game to play when you are not in the mood for something super complicate like “War on the Sea”. Unlike my other simulations, if you fll asleep playing you game is not badly affected.

This game will let every Idle gaming heart skip a beat!
Not only is the artwork amazing but the replayability is huge!
With the last update (Cataclysm update) not only can you prestige now, but after conquering the whole galaxy you’ll be given the option for New Game+ in form of a inovative system: You get to choose your own blessings AND curses for the new game!
In my opinion Lazy Galaxy 2 does this better than 95% of other Idlegames i played so far and this really makes it fun.
The game is still in early access, but fear not! The developers are EXTREMLY transparent and communicative with their community and fans and even take suggestions and critic the right way and morph it into something beautiful!

Task Men
–- Don’t buy the game —-
Since January no patches anymore and no reaction for 2 weeks on my question if they will continue developing the game. Maybe it is temporary, but I would at least wait until the development is progressing again. Just a pity, because the game has good potential sniff.
As a really fan of these kind of autobattlers I bought the game for 3 euro’s when it came out. The games plays smoothly, but in 20 min my run was finished and I won the game and did it again and again. Total 1 hr play.

Greed Knights
As of this review, I have 100% achievements on Greed Knights.
Let me get something out of the way, I DO NOT hate this game, nor do I think it’s terrible for an idle game. However, I CANNOT recommend this game to anyone who’s going for 100% like I did (the only reason I was able to 100% this game quicker than I thought was because of the recent update to reach Level 60 instead of 80).
Whenever I opened this game (after already grinding to about Level 30), I would fly by levels and just spawn into the Evil Throne over and over again to grind, and even leave my computer on overnight to grind. I wish it didn’t have to be this way, because now I have over 400 HOURS on record (probably would’ve been over 1000 if I had to reach Level 80, no exaggeration). An “offline progress” system is MUCH needed here, similar to Adventure Capitalist, or any other idle game I can think of.

This is the 2nd game he’s released on Steam, and I think the 4th or 5th of his I’ve played.
This is a short, simple, low content idle game. Good for grinding achievements maybe, but rather devoid of content. It’s got simple 8 bit art, which I don’t mind, and he reuses a lot of game mechanics and button/UI graphics. His UIs are confusing and chaotic. A lot of the time you have to hunt for the actual buttons or things you can interact with as often there’s no way to tell what is a display field and what is a button.

Idle Monster Frontier
I find this to actually be a very good Single Player Monster Collector game.
You push your team of monsters through a series of waves of enemies, collecting gold and other monsters to build your team. The basic gameplay loop is a monster collector, where a gold resource and other monsters you don’t want/need are consumed to make your main monsters more powerful.
It has a traits system where monsters can learn abilities from others allowing for customization.
The game is free, obviously with some very pay to win stuff available in the store. However there is practically nothing you cannot get in this game by playing it normally for free. The daily gems (premium currency) quests will give you a slow stream of currency to buy the things you need. Some players have complained that the best monsters in game are purchasable in the shop for 750 gems (which is a LOT) however they don’t really take into account that fact that this is a bad purchase type. The monster could have a low speed rating, and due to how levelling up a monster works, you do not need only 1 of a top tier monster, you will ultimately need many, many copies.

READ THIS!!
Lets start by saying this game will not play itself 100% of the time, SO WHAT!!.
This game has TONS of unique things not seen or tried on any of the multiple and plenty of Idles ive played before!
This game encourages creativity and imagination to build not the optimal but the team you dream of, The core is the only defining part while you are able to freely create a creature however you dream it for you specific team. They add new units, events, and they are (DEV) Looking out for the game, Dont let this few people that play the game for minutes or even low hours fool you. THIS IS A GREAT GAME.

Idle Wasteland
This game is FUN! Too fun… No wait. I mean to say addictive. Or… is the real issue that it seems too needy? Let me get more to the point… This game has everything you would want and expect from a wasteland apocalypse game, and it can be played as an idle game for a while, but the issue I am having is that its constantly squawking with birds and notifications to get me to click inside it for a resource. I could turn off those noises, but then I’d miss some important and rare stuff which will help me progress into the game much faster. Which means more likely that I am over stimulated by this game. I drag my mouse back and forth to collect all the trash piles and bugs that spawn, plus the loot bugs and the 10 minute free ad drone (steam does not allow ads, so its free resources). Then the base crafting timer is about a minute long, so I am constantly back into the game to click it twice, then the other craftables. I feel like I can’t leave it alone until I mute it all completely. What it tells me is that this game is very well designed to cause me to want to monitor it while doing other stuff, but has been designed to make me want to click on every junk pile to gain its scraps.

Perfect idle game. Something to do for 15 minutes here, 40 minutes there, just enough to knock out some of the daily missions. You feel a sense of making progress, just try not to analyze the fact that only .1% of players beat the game (or only got the hardest achievements)
If you want a game of upgrades, this is it. This game has upgrades on just about everything, and those upgrades come in tiers, and those tiers have higher tiers. I can’t believe I’ve only put in 18 hours in this game. I’ve unlocked sooooo many things and I still feel as if I’ve only just begun my journey through the wasteland.

Norega
I like idle games . . . a lot. Not sure why, but I play them almost exclusively. This is the 4th title I’ve played from this dev. This is his 6th game in about 11 months that he’s published on Steam, plus a few paid DLCs. Don’t know how many other games he’s published on other platforms.
From his other games, he seems to copy most of the core mechanics from one game to the next, along with some style aspects of the UI. This game has more refined graphics than the previous 8 bit graphics. I don’t mind 8 bit games at all and I’m not sure whether he made these assets himself or got them from an asset pack. Likely a mix of both. It’s a simple, grindy idle game with a built in auto-idle feature (buggy) that auto fights for you over night, if the game runs over night, so you don’t need to set up an auto clicker or anything. There’s no prestige/reset mechanic, but you increase the difficulty and rewards by fighting through all the mobs in each area at level 1, then when you beat the boss at the end, you can increase the mob difficulty and keep doing loops, increasing the difficulty as you go.

Pros:
-
Cute character sprites.
-
Decent music.
-
Small download.
-
Active developer.
Cons:
-
Sprites and texts are all different resolutions/sizes that don’t mix well. The dev needs to gain a better understanding of pixels, resolutions, and why stretching pixel art is a bad thing.
-
The GUI style makes it impossible to understand which numbers are prices and which numbers are how much you have on hand. The GUI style also does not do a good job of graying out or recoloring controls when you cannot afford things. The buttons at least have a hover-color, which is an improvement from the dev’s previous games.

Glitch War
Glitch War is a Action, Strategy, video game. It’s a game where you command units as you take back your world from invading monsters. You control unique characters who each have their own special attacks. There are puzzles and boss fights that you will have to make your way though. There is an open world to explore. You can go in any direction you want, find new areas, new units, and experience each area as you progress through the game. I am an indie developer and have been working on this game for just under a year now and its really shown me my passion for creating games! It has been such a blast and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have making the game!
Idle Pins
Edit 02/11/2021: Three things related to monetisation have happened. First, leaderboards have been removed. That’s good, they were useless anyway and clear cheaters mostly populated the top spots. Second, the daily premium currency (Derium) given has increased dramatically, roughly doubling over the first month. While the amounts are still very, very small, it’s something. Good job.
Lastly, I cursed the game when talking about RNG based purchases, because there is now a slot machine for the Halloween event. The listed chances are 1.23% for a good drop, 29.88% for a not very good drop, 68.9% for absolutely nothing. You also get a tiny consolation prize with each roll, all for 100 Derium. If you wanted to buy Derium it would take roughly 8,100 to get one of the good drops, costing around $20. More absurd monetisation from the developer, sadly.

This will be a fully honest and unbiased review, i personally enjoy the game as i did with the original.
Personally i consider this game a pretty good balance between the active and idle sides of the incremental community. (if you complain about the game require to much active then, simply put the game isnt made for you, as its more geared towards the more active side of the incremental community. dont expect something like melvor, expect something like realmgrinder in terms of activity) The game however isnt entirely active and does have a somewhat long waiting periods, not timewalls per say, but just waiting periods. none the less, despite the fact i prefer EXTREMELY active games like perfect tower 2, and The Prestige Tree. this game has somehow entranced me despite the larger waiting periods.
