Royale Age: Battle of Kings

Royale Age: Battle of Kings

Wow! This game is really fun! If you are looking for a casual game that has multiple layers of strategy and that is fun to play then this game is an excellent pick up! It is imo easy to learn, and great if you only have 15 minutes for a play session. Definitely worth the 10 bucks. And to the people complaining about bots, one - that doesn’t make it a bad game and two - that just gives players like me an opportunity to learn the game inside and out. But it. Two thumbs wayyyy up!

Okay, first, I’ve something bad to say, but I hope this will not discourage you because this game really needs you, if you’re here because you thought this game is a great game, please, just take it, it’s really what it looks, if not better.

Now… this game is f*****g amazing, what we have here is one of that brilliant ideas that we fear the world will never see, why I say that? Because besides this game has this fantastic gameplay / Design / Strategy+Luck Synergy / Sound / etc… It has the biggest flaw of this video game era, it’s a small game, forged by a small group of people, and it’s paid, ok ok ok, it’s REALLY cheap, and I think the price is too low for this good game, but it’s a paid competitive game in a world of competitive free games, this game (I hope I’m wrong, I hope the devs have a plan) will die without see its full capacity.

Neat concept and all the characters explore different playstyles. Soundtrack is a big standout, it’s great!

Having played long enough to unlock all the gods, the strategy feels a little too minion-focused at time of review. None of the god abilities buff towers- only disabling or destroying them. Most abilities either damage or buff units already on the board, or summon a super powerful unit. I can reliably win games without building a single structure, and I would like to see the balance shift a bit towards building to really lean into the tower-defense aspect.

Alright quick review under 2 hours played. It’s a FAST paced tower defense with all controls done through the mouse. That brings me to what I dislike so far. Tower defense is cool and all but when I have to hold a mouse button down then select a defense/offense/power by sliding the mouse then placement after that. It’s just not intuitive. It should be abilities and units are selected with the keyboard and placement is through the mouse. That would allow the player to place units and abilities WAY faster.

This is the best chess game I’ve ever played. The amount of depth to the game, while still in early access, is impressive. I think that the game will only get better with time and will have more players to compete against as the game grows in popularity.

Legion TD 2 - Multiplayer Tower Defense

Awesome multiplayer auto-battler, with a thriving, generally nice community, and ongoing development!

Stop waves of enemies!

In Legion TD 2 (LTD) you have to stop enemies that spawn in waves on your ‘lane’. The enemies give a bounty for each kill, and with that gold you can buy new fighters in between the waves. The game gives a recommended value of your fighters for each wave consisting of the total possible value that comes spawning. Depending on the type of units you have put on your lane with all their synergies and positioning, this value can be either too high or too low. For instance, a collection of only tanks (units that soak damage well, but don’t deal much themselves) will probably not clear a wave.

Plays just like the original WC3 map + much, much more, for anyone who is a fan of tower defense, multiplayer/co-op and strategy games, will definitely love this, for the developer AAG i can’t wait to see the extra campaign maps as well as potential dlc content perhaps something event based like a new boss (similar to btd6 like the bloonarius events) or endless mode with different waves to see how long you and a friend or 7 other friends can survive, there is so much potential and i cant wait to see it unfold , but as it is for its price, its well deserved of its positive reviews and again if you’re even remotely thinking of purchasing this game, as Shia LaBeouf would say, “just do it”, you will not regret it.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this review, because at 217 hours of game-play at the time of writing, I have invested a lot of my time into this game. I’ve played since the first publicly available build, so feel I have enough experience to critique this and its development as time has gone on. And for anyone wondering I capped out at Lieutenant IV, hardly a rank to sniff at.

I enjoy this game, I really do, when the game goes right it hits that sweet spot so well and you come away with a shiny new rank knowing you were the best of the best in that game.

I wish I could recommend this game. I really wish I could. But I feel like Valve took an idea they didn’t create, and without properly knowing what was good about that idea took it in their own direction, which ended up ruining what I enjoyed about the game. I played entirely too much of this when it was in beta, and I enjoyed every minute of it, even when things weren’t entirely balanced. The polish Valve put on the game with the interface and coding was just miles above the competition. Perhaps its better now, but TFT wasn’t even a game when Riot released it. I feel Valve had a great head-start on the competition, but I feel they’re ruined it, and while I don’t have access to player numbers, I get the feeling those would back up my claim.

GLADIABOTS - AI Combat Arena

GLADIABOTS - AI Combat Arena

This is a superb, unique game that deserves to be even more popular than it already is.

The concept of the game is that the player designs their own AI via customizable ‘nodes’ (colour-coded tiles that the player can arrange into a logic tree to determine their robots' behaviour) which then dictate how their team of 4-8 robots (from four different classes) perform in battle against ‘enemy’ AIs.

The logical array which the player creates (featured in several of the screenshots in the store page) can be anywhere from just a handful of tiles at first, to literally hundreds (arranged into named sub-AIs if the player wants) that function like a sort of flow diagram for each robot, governing their priorities and thus responses based on a seemingly endless combination of determining factors e.g. what friendly or enemy bots are doing at that particular moment, how far away they are, or hundreds of other parameters native to the ‘check-box’ like options that allow the player to refine what each tile actually ‘says’.

Real player with 478.5 hrs in game

In Gladiabots you programm a platoon of robots that will then compete autonomously in a game arena against other platoons. You have to plan and consider carefully when creating your robots' AIs before actually hitting the arena as you can no longer interfere once the match has started: The robots are then on their own, equipped with nothing but your programmed instructions.

There are four different bot classes resembling a rock scissors paper scheme with an added tank and several different game modes (three for online ranked matches vs humans).
