Heads Run

Heads Run

fantastic and amazing little game, really love playing it, the visuals and layout of levels is so gorgeous, it’s really rewarding to speedrun, can’t reccommend this eonugh if you like platformers. The only downsides to the game are that the wall jump timing for inputs is a bit weird/clunky and takes some getting used to, and that I wish there was 50 more levels because I just want it to keep going

Heads run has both bad and good. If you are looking for a fun game to speed run or play for 2-5 hours depending on your skill. Heads run is only 4 dollars and a great option.

The Good -

The game for the most part does a great job setting a fast pace to making you want to rush and speed thru the level. The level has slight changes as you hit or interact with walls and floors and adds to the feel of the world. It also has an interesting artstyle that combines with the rest to create an enjoyable experience.

This game is super simple, but it is indeed relaxing, and surprisingly addictive!

You just tap the mouse button to make the kite go up, which dodges whatever clouds, birds, leaves, etc. are floating past you. Each level, you have to dodge more objects to win, but I don’t think the difficulty really increases much.

You can unlock kites of different speeds, and choose the one you like, in order to make it easier or harder.

The graphics are not particularly impressive, but it’s quite aesthetically pleasing anyhow. It’s minimalist and pretty, with a variety of different colour palettes available.

Avoid this game if you have a short temper with difficult games, because this game will really test your patience to the very limit. Don’t know what kept me going, I must admit, that I somehow felt challenged, but it’s not a game i want to go through again.

Freerunners

Freerunners

Freerunners is a game about giving the feeling of freerunning (Parkour). Finding a flow and an underlying rhythm of movement as you traverse through your environment in the quickest time possible.

Start off a total noob and become a skilled pro, learning new moves along the way. Vault, climb, jump, duck, swing, flip, slide, do what it takes to travel as fast as possible whilst using your environment to outwit the enemy henchmen who have kidnapped your freerunning teacher and are hunting you down.

Be Fast, Be Fluid, Be Direct!

Key Features:

  • 50 Fast-paced Levels - Think quick and solve problems on the move in fast-paced action-packed levels.

  • Use Your Environment - Outwit evil henchmen using the environment and your freerunning skills.

  • Fail, Retry, Refine - You’re going to fail a bunch as you find your flow but refine your timing and technique and watch as you improve and flow more seamlessly through your environment.

  • Learn New Freerunning Moves - Progressing from a total noob to a freerunning badass. No better way to learn than by jumping in the deep end… and by deep end I mean being hunted by the henchmen of an evil organisation.

  • Look The Part, Unlock New Outfits - Gotta look the part. You can wear good running shoes or flip-flops if you are feeling adventurous.

  • Speedrunner-friendly - Be fast, be fluid, be direct and complete levels in the fastest time possible, well suited to speedrunning.

  • Full Controller Support - Can be played with a keyboard/mouse but has also been designed with full controller support.

Whoa. The innovation. The innovation!

They’ve really changed things up with this one. Not only does the exit move around a bit - where it was once stubbornly fixed to the bottom right-hand corner - but we also have a new mechanic that occasionally limits your vision to a small circle of fire or ice…actually making the series remotely challenging for the first time ever!

Basically, you can’t always see your path to the exit clearly delineated within seconds of the screen loading up…which means trial-and-error on an unprecedented scale! As a bonus, the footprints they made visible in the last game now have meaning…as you can clearly spot where you’ve been, eliminating the need for pointless backtracking (which would have been frankly intolerable, considering the patience that’s required to conquer these games in the first place)!

The Yeti Mazerunner in darkness & under time pressure

TAL:Arctic is a cheap buildt series of maze games in which a Yeti like character tries to find the exit in 60 different levels. If you compare it to the aMaze Series these labrinths are a no-brainer. Sometimes you have to play dark levels and even combined with a very mean timer. It happened to me that I really passed in the last second the mazes. Lots of strees but not really an improvement.

Really, really “dated”. And it only came out yesterday!

A solid 35.3 MBs of stone-cold un-a-maze-ing mediocrity, that probably would’a bored the bejesus out of eight-year-olds back in the early 80s. Anyone who bothers to play all sixty levels gets a free pass into Heaven when they die, and receives one o' them bright, shiny “halo” thingies as a bonus.

For the rest of us: alright for a half-hour and a handful of Achievements, I guess. And you gotta love a game that only has four buttons to learn (literally WASD to move).

The King’s Bird

The King’s Bird

There’s some short rundown of the basic features down at the bottom if that what you’re looking for in reviews.

The strongest argument for playing The King’s Bird would most definetly be the unique platforming experience.

It might not be the most polished or the most award winning game, but unlike a lot of the games the developers listed in the credits as inspirations, it is less tied to conventional platforming mechanics because the cape is the main part of the whole momentum based experience, save for a few levels that disable it so you could put it in perspective. As wonderful games like Celeste would be, they’re still using the more conventional platforming mechanics like wall climbing/jumping double jump/air dash and the like, while The King’s Bird uses those more conventional mechanics as means to get a bit more speed to do the flying with your cape.

I believe I can fly!

Taking control of a young girl, all you wish for is to fly and travel to your heart’s content. There’s a problem, though. The town you currently reside in has been turned into a cage due to a magical barrier surrounding it. No one can’t get out and nothing can go in, other than the King. One day, you happen to be right there when he comes into the cage and follow him. Eventually, you find out what gave the King the ability to fly and walk out of the cage and take the incentive to give it to yourself. After a little argument with the King, you head straight out of the cage you despised to achieve your dream. From then on, the story steps aside for the gameplay with only hints peppered in till the end.

it’s kinda odd that no one has reviewed this game yet

it’s a pretty fun game

i enjoyed the mechanics so far

graphic and musics are mostly okay

level design is really really good

but it’s kinda have a clunky feeling in it that is kinda normal for a indie game

i mean it doesn’t matter that much but it will make this game not 100% smooth

anyhow

a great indie game

i recommend it

and looking forward to the updates (if there is any)
