Aspire: Ina’s Tale

Aspire: Ina’s Tale

Ina was trapped, placed in perpetual slumber inside the Tower – where she dreamed. Suddenly and unknowingly, she is woken. Ina must now explore the Tower’s inner chambers in search of a way out and a reason for her imprisonment.

Along the way, she’ll traverse marvelous scenery, meet enigmatic characters, solve intuitive puzzles, and conquer platforming sequences as she comes closer to her goal - but farther from innocence.

For this isn’t a story about how Ina was saved. This is the story about how she discovered she could be so much more.

EXPLORE A LIVING TOWER

Get lost in a mystical side-scrolling adventure through beautiful sprawling levels, each with their own distinct feel. Every region presents its own peculiarities to unravel.

ENGAGING STORY

Ina’s dreams shape reality while the Tower feeds. Hopes and imagination satiate its hunger. How are the two connected?

MEET THE TOWER DWELLERS

Learn about the other denizens of the Tower as you search for the truth. Uncover their pasts, their memories, and set them free.

CONTROL SPIRITS

Ina was trapped for a reason, and her powers resonate with the spirits that inhabit the Tower. Use them to manipulate objects, solve puzzles, reveal hidden passages, and navigate the environment to find your way out.

DISCLAIMER: This is a first impressions review, and NOT a full review

EPONYMOUS is a game developed and published by Minor Key Games

The game offers some nice graphics, although some ugly glitches here and there, it is pleasant all the same

The game does suffer with some repetitiveness at certain areas of the game but a fun game nonetheless

EPONYMOUS overall, however, is a fun game to play, yet sometimes repetitive and it does get boring and tedious if being played for a long time, but is a great little horror game to play in short bursts!

Not really sure what or even if there was a story or message, but as a visual experience I enjoyed this. Plenty of options for sound controls fov to make it a comfortable experience and really let you get lost in the game for a bit. Levels aren’t too confusing, but the dialog is. Maybe it’s because I haven’t put in the time to read the footnoted content in the credits before playing to understand the placement of quotes and such, or maybe it’s just simply meant to be confusing as part of the experience. Also Found a potato so that was the most rewarding thing I got from this game lol. I appreciated the potato. I played through it a second time to look at the things I missed which was nothing major, just a few quotes as far as I can tell. Anyways, it’s cheap, takes a few minutes give it a try if the screenshots look appealing to you.

Very good game, love the ambience and the great art.

Recommended.

The installed .exe has been renamed and Steam didn’t find it in my drive D :

Just copied and renamed the folder “Ignatius - Reunited_Data” to “Ignatius_Data”, and the exe “Ignatius - Reunited.exe” to “Ignatius.exe”, and Steam worked ok (otherwise no played time is registered).

This game is an adorable noir style game with great coloured highlights. The music is creepy, there are puns that are amazing, and the story is sweet.. The game is generally quite easy, BUT, if you move incorrectly can be very unforgiving - but it was worth it and I had a lot of laughs with it.. The design is just beautiful - there are a few spelling errors and jittery bits but in my opinion I put it down to it feeling like an old school movie that used to flicker and for all I know, that’s how its meant to be portrayed.. The enemies aren’t overly hard, it would be easily playable by a younger audience.. It reminds me of other games that I have played such as Machinarium and looks similar to what Limbo looks like - but it was still beautiful regardless..

Henosis™

Henosis™

Introduction

While 2D platformer and puzzle games are not something I play often, Henosis managed to catch my eye because of its visuals. And even though this game is not something I would remember for a long time, it still delivers a decent amount of entertainment.

Story

You play as a cute, small, blue blob who collects water tokens so it could restore the vitality of its homeworld. And that is it, nothing more, nothing less. To be precise, the game does not have any form of storytelling, and this might be the only information about the story you can get. However, this game does not need any, and I did not miss it.

What’s a blob gotta do to get some service around here?

If you want to see Henosis in action, watch my video. It’s a blob’s life and your goal is to find water to survive. Jumping from platform to platform is satisfying and a bit surreal, and timing your jumps and movement is both joyful and rage-inducing. To assist you, you’ve got a time slowing effect that is required in some parts and makes others easier. Henosis isn’t difficult, per se, except when it is.

Another great title by Vidas Salavejus if you loved his previous games.

This one is only 30 minutes of gameplay with one amazing jumpscare and some creepy parts with nice cutscenes.

On the negative side, the dark grey textures are kind of lame.

its a great game, surpised my GTX 970 works, but the card is pushing at 98% game runs smooth, tried with AI cars, co pilot, all maps seem to work, game settings work with the card i have, this game is alot like what i have on my phone except you can choose to have an open road or traffic, an idea for you is you can have the tracks react with the music, that seems to be fun, i love the idea where this is heading, a map idea you can add i like to see is as you drive you can have lights light up around the track, they ccan change colors, shapes etc. that be cool to see smthing like that react to the music you listening to with awesome trippy effects,

One of the most relaxing games I have played. The gameplay is simple, you drive on a highway and overtake other cars. Or you can play it as an idle game by removing the traffic and just enjoy the scenery while listening to the awesome soundtrack.

The Eternal Castle [REMASTERED]

The Eternal Castle [REMASTERED]

Read my full review at https://www.vgr.com/eternal-castle-remastered-pc-game-review

In the indie game scene, a lot of games take inspiration from the games of the past. Typically this comes in the form of tributes to oldschool consoles like the NES, SNES and Mega Drive. But it’s not often you see games that pay homage to the graphics of old IBM PC’s. The Eternal Castle, a supposed remake of a lost 1987 PC game, is such a game. And much in the vein of the game MURI, it acts as a tribute to old school PC games from the late 80’s and early 90’s. In this review we’ll be taking a look at this game and also discuss its legitimacy as a remaster. So strap in, it’s time to explore the CGA glory of The Eternal Castle.

Real player with 12.5 hrs in game

The Eternal Castle is a tribute to the cinematic platformers from the past, such as Prince of Persia or Another World . This genre does not get a lot of representation these days, so I want to support developers that make games for a limited audience. Let’s be honest, this game is made for people with nostalgia for those clunky platformers. I really enjoy the gameplay because it’s very faithful, and any subjective criticism that I have does not take away anything from its artistry (which is something really special). As far as I know, the original game that is being remastered was “lost”, but I do know that this remaster imitates animation cycle from Prince of Persia . I wish the developers would give the credit for the sources of inspiration, instead of just claiming that it’s a remaster of a classic masterpiece that nobody played. But let’s make something very clear, this game combines the features from several titles, and could not exists in its current form if it wasn’t for them.

Really unpleasant gaming experience. Incorrect/buggy settings, and even when these were finally fixed by lots of fiddling baout, the game is still virtually unplayable due to the unskippable tutorial, which is just awful. Definitely do not recommend. Dreadful.

7 out of 10 user reviews.. purchased reviews mind you.. gave this game a positive review.

  • sniff * * sniff *

..Something smells really fishy and really foul here.

This game is mediocre at best, but with all the bugs and broken controls, I’d give this game a 3 out 10 .. IF it was $5 USD.

…It’s NOT $5 or under however, and instead this developer has priced this POS at a ridiculous $60 USD price tag!

Hey dev.. you could price this game at “$69 million USD”, but that wouldn’t make it a better game or worth more. - JS.

KROTRUVINK

Have you ever been on the verge of proportionality?

This story is about a single person who was unsure of the nature of things and the physical integrity of things around him.

Everyday this man went to his job and dreamed of a time in which, it seems, he didn’t exist. Days dashed forward.

But then one day after our protagonist took the bus to work, he got off on…a ship.

This is an indie game created by one person who is completely in love with the idea of challenging genres.

An experiment that tries not to disrupt the tradition or to confuse the player but to instead argue under the framework which restricts the cultural impact on choice.

Attempt to transform the quest genre into a full adventure, excluding elements of discipline for mental stimulation.

GAMEPLAY FEATURES:

**•**Mix of genres and elements like art, adventure, puzzle, survival and metroidvania games.

The player is assisted by expressive mechanisms and visual compositions to understand the main goal of the game.

**•**Engage in converstaion as it is are a source of really useful information. Figure out why the characters in the game got into an argument with each other. Carrying a grudge from old times, which exists only in their faded, smudged eyes.

**•**Use your items from the inventory to induce change into Cube Town.

Perhaps it is not just a giant wall but instead a maze inside. Discover the Town’s secrets by exploring the slums and the factory districts.

**•**No need to be frightened by the unfamiliarity. Previously completed objectives will become hints to other players as well as to you.

**•**Health, stamina and thirst are non-renewable and are the player’s source for victory.

And while the protagonist can’t fill their thirst themselves, their enemy on the other hand, under some gameplay circumstances, can…

**•**There is only one boss in the whole journey that won’t leave you alone. His roots entangle every corner of the world. An eternal battle with a parasite that threatens to become a part of the environment.

**•**Immerse yourself into the vivid chamber, color the lives here and learn how to cooperate with darkness.
