Ghost Hunters Corp

Ghost Hunters Corp

This Game is a Gem. It sets itself apart from phasmo in many ways. It’a way more interactive than phasmo.

I love that we can buy/bring as many items as we want. We are not limited in this game.

You can pick up items around the map and throw them about and make the ghosts mad. Or even take some of the cursed map assets back to base for more money. The Ghost can follow you back to the Van, and even break the door off. House doors also get yeeted.

I’m used to give a chance to early access games, even if it means I could encounter bugs, crashes and lags (I’ve been playing ARK survival since the start in june 2015 !) But Ghost Hunters Corp is not an alpha game, it’s very well made and simply needs a few more contents to be released.

Don’t trust those raging players that yell it’s a copy of Phasmo. I also play Phasmo and it’s absolutly not the same game. Of course, the idea is the same, but the gameplay is slightly different: in GHC, you need to find which entity you seek before exorcism it. And AI’s behavior and reaction are different. The fear it gives you is also not the same. I like jumping on one and the other as if I did different missions, as being another kind of hunter 😊 It’s a real pleasure, except when I go to bed after that!

Dread

Dread

Dread is first-person 4 player online co-op survival horror game. Explore haunted environments ranging from abandoned manors, the underground catacombs below Paris, abandoned schools and more in realistic detail. Investigate, find evidence and get out to get paid.. Or stay and figure out how to cleanse the location of the spirit. No two games are ever the same as each spirit has it’s own unique abilities. The locations change becoming more dangerously terrifying the longer you stay but the payouts are also greater.

Some locations allow you to roam outside of the haunted environments in safety and play a supportive role. Sometimes the safest play isn’t actually safe at all..

Realistic Terror: Dread was built from the ground up around realistic graphics and minimal user interface for full immersion. This will feel too real.

Interactive: Most things in the world of Dread are interact-able. Open everything in the search for clues. Leave no stone un-turned.

Cross platform: Dread allows VR and flat screen players to enjoy the game together.

Never the Same Game Twice: Locations change in different ways as the investigation intensifies. While poltergeists will throw things around more and more the angrier they get. A demon may reveal the grisly details of the location’s past.

Trust No One: Sometimes death isn’t the end. A spirit may decide to possess a victim instead of adding their soul to the location’s list of victims. A possession victim must eliminate the remaining investigators before they can escape.

Kind Words (lo fi chill beats to write to)

Kind Words (lo fi chill beats to write to)

This is not a game. This is a community of kind strangers helping each other with kind words. Your only reward will be nice music and rooms to decorate. But that truly is enough. Kind words are not for those who seek rewards or validation. You don’t meet or talk or make friends with anyone. Kind words isn’t made for that. It is just meant to be kind words spoken without reward or consequence between strangers. And in doing just that Kind Words elevates itself. It truly becomes a place where you can seek kindness from strangers, when real life deals you a bad hand.

I bought this game a long time ago on a recommendation from a friend, but never picked it up. Then one day recently I was feeling really down and useless about myself. I didn’t really want to play any of my usual favourites and I remembered I had this and thought I’d give it a go.

At first I thought it might be fun to vent into the aether (and I got some lovely responses), but soon I realised that replying to other people’s messages and helping where I thought I could felt great. So many people were going through things I’d been though and could help with. It’s a thoroughly charming game with so many enDEERing features, I’d recommend it to anyone whether you’re feeling good or bad. It’s the sort of game where playing for 15 minutes can make you feel better about the day.

honestly a really great game for the stage its at people expect too much for an unfinished game but its great if your into the horror survival escape, yes i have found a few bugs myself like duping items and being able to climb things i should and shoot myself up things really fast and push myself through certain things but im sure this will all be deal with. before i figure all this out can i just say i fucking jumped a fair few times and also had my brother scary the shit out of me while playing it. i still give this game an easy 8/10 not just for where its at but also this could easy get better numbers in the future my only thing is i with there were more monsters its fun when you see one for the first time and dont know what the fuck to do or how it works and i feel like if there were more it would really spice up trying to take a short cut.

Let me start by saying that this game is a solid 6/10 for me, so here is my reason why.

This game has it perks but it also has it’s cons. for starters the game is great when it comes to its audio and atmosphere: The player models along with the creature models are solid, the map is great and pretty big with a lot of detail.

Now for where the game doesn’t excel at…

The game has many bugs that effect the gameplay, which in turn destroys what made the game great, the first that comes to mind is the witch. Me and my friend found a bug where the witch can’t go onto porches and into building making her less scary and it destroys the atmosphere. So if you ever spawn the witch just run for a porch or into a building, its safe there. Plus people have been leaving comments about fps problems. I have yet to run into that problem but that’s not a total surprise given that my PC is pretty solid. The items required to escape also are a bit of an issue in the game because the game becomes less difficult when you find four motors for the boat while heading south where the boat escape location.

For 0.2.12_HF01 version:

I have finished the tutorial island and had a wonderful time with this game. The developers are very active and given the fact that are only 2 people making it, very fast to fix major problems! The sprint, key remap and tool depletion mentioned on discussion session were solved and they are still working to improve! That aside, things you should consider:

  • Dialogue/guidance are still very rough

  • You will have to grind, not excessively, but you will

  • It is on early stage, it has around 5 hours of gameplay (on solo)

I enjoy it! It obviously still has a long way to go before it can be considered a full game and the current price is a bit steep for the amount of content that’s available, but there’s definitely a future here. I like the art style, and the sandbox style of the game. The current beginner Island with quests does a good job of explaining the basics of the survival and crafting mechanics of the game, although some random exploration is required. It does need a bit of an English check… Also multiplayer would make it a lot more enjoyable, but the creators have stated that they are working on that. I am curious to see how the game develops.

Excellent game - played it two player - one of the best I’ve played - only thing was I tweaked my brightness up a little in my video card as it was hard to see in places - otherwise - superb game

I believe this game is off to a good start but needs a lot of work. First we need a place to store all the artifacts we find like a back pack since it’s so much like tomb raider. We should have a menu of our items we collect that we have to use in the game. I see a lot of glowing cubes in the game floating around. I so hope for the improvements because it’s a wonderful Start. I would pay more for improvements. I wouldn’t recommend at this point though. but it is very close.

Hide and Shriek

Hide and Shriek

Let me dispel some common criticisms:

-Nobody plays this game anymore

This is a halloween-themed game, so yes, for those of you complaining in June that nobody plays this game, jump in around October and you’ll get plenty of games in.

-No updates

Fuck off, this game was perfect the first time and does not need “updates”, this isn’t League of Legends

-Only one map

See above. Also, this was meant to be picked up one time a year. One map is plenty. I have a feeling the people who complain about there only being one map are the same people who only play Final Destination on Smash.

Real player with 74.7 hrs in game

tl;dr version: Is this the kind of game you’ll play for ages and have ranked tournaments with months from now? No. Is it $5 worth of Halloween entertainment for the next month or so? Absolutely!

Hide and Shriek is a very well balanced 1v1 scarematch game where you have to either outscore or outscare (or ideally both) your opponent. The fact that resources are randomly distributed - even the runes you use to craft spells are randomly chosen at the start of the match - means that there’s no one preferred location or ideal loadout you can use. Having to continually scramble about looking for resources and never quite having the right spell components in place keeps it from being too comfortable at any point. (It is admittedly true that sometimes the RNG blesses you with abundant resources of exactly the right kind for your strategy but you can never count on this being true.)
