A very picturesque and detailed world, amazing work was done! Steam punk atmosphere in some kind of alternative Soviet reality. Totally recommend it!

Universe For Sale - Prologue

The prologue of this game is really interesting, I love the atmosphere and the settings are so peculiar and immersive.

The plot seems intriguing, I look forward to the complete game release which I’ll definitely play!

This is a prologue for the game Universe for Sale. A prologue is like a demo. You might be wondering what the difference is between a prologue and a demo. Not much. Both are ways of promoting interest in the full game. The main difference is that a prologue has its own store page and a demo is on the store page of the full game. A developer could theoretically release the same content as both a demo and a prologue.

This prologue gives an introduction to some of the characters in the full game. The full game might have potential, but the prologue is rather short. You talk to a few people and that’s about it. Thumbs up for the easy achievements though.

Into A Dream

Into A Dream

An interesting and touching psychological story with you playing as John… a man who has entered the mind of Luke Williams in an attempt to save him during a personal crisis.

The art, music, and voice acting are well done. For the most part, the game is a black and white side scroller with strategically placed touches of color. There are several platforming sequences with one at the end that took me quite a few tries to get through. There are some puzzle elements (turning on equipment, advancing time, etc.).

Into a Dream is a heartbreaking journey into a man’s bleeding soul; the more you know this man named Luke, and try to disentangle the circumstances of his life, the more you get attached to him and the urge to help him escape what he believes to be his fate is inevitable. He needs us and I just could not help feeling empathy for him.

The whole atmosphere builds up as you progress in the game and the relaxed dreamlike and apparent uneventful scenes in the first levels advance to more intense and dramatic moments as the story unfolds and Luke allows us to go deeper into his dreams. As in a dream, timeline is not linear, information is provided in bits and pieces by the characters you encounter along the way and the player has to connect the dots in order to make sense of it all. The story is brilliantly written and left me emotionally shaken.

Unbalanced, slow and laggy trash.

Is this a bad game? I dont think so but it feels very rough. I personally would not recommend it based on other big title souls-likes and even smaller titles. It would of course be unfair to compare it to Dark Souls but even compared to the smaller titles I just feel as though it needs more polish.

My concerns are the lack of a proper roll, the lack of keyboard support, some poor telegraphs and bit unfair enemy tracking. Biggest thing is probably ranged enemies can hit you from off screen and you’ll have no idea where they are given the fixed camera.

DARK SOULS™ III

DARK SOULS™ III

This is one of my favorite games of all time. There’s so much depth, variety of playstyles and builds, plenty to explore and learn about the game, so many weapons to use and play with. Weapon arts are cool, hit boxes are (mostly) really fucking good in pve, and there’s an amazing sense of power in actions done in this game.

A lot of people consider ds3 the fastest of the 3, with faster movements, rolling, stamina usage, ect ect.

In my opinion, this gives your player character a “badassatry” that doesn’t exist in any other souls game. You’ll roll through giant moves, just BARELY dodge a flurry of attacks, and slam the enemy with your 66 strength scaled heavy ultra greatsword.

Real player with 408.2 hrs in game

Masterful level design, compelling combat and weapon systems. varied and fun magical options. Dark souls 3 is the kind of game that you can replay over and over with different experiences each time. At the surface level, the community can seem toxic, but you can fairly easily get past those people to find the passionate, helpful, and friendly community it has to offer. If you’re looking at Elden Ring and not sure if you want to buy it, try this game first. Take the time to read item descriptions and npc dialogue for an interesting and interconnected story below the surface of it all.

This is quite possibly the worst puzzle game ever created. The clues mean exactly nothing. There is no reason or logic to any of it. If you eat the wrong pill, you die and the game restarts. The best method is just to eat every pill you see, remember the ones that kill you, restart the game, and only eat the pills that don’t kill you. Do not buy this game.

Real player with 2.1 hrs in game

I enjoyed some of the puzzles in this game but the main objective is to eat specific pills and there seems to be no indication as to what pills you need to eat. There are no clues, no hints, nothing. You eat the wrong pill and you die (and that will happen to you a lot unless you watch someone else play the game). After a little while I got sick of picking the wrong pill and dying so I just watched others play the game so I could stop restarting the entire game from the beginning.

If we had a neutral option I would definitely be selecting that for this game but since it’s either “recommend” or “do not recommend” I have to say I don’t recommend it just because the entire game seems to be based on chance or luck and I don’t care for that at all. There doesn’t seem to be any way to make an educated guess as to what pills to eat based off clues - it’s just pure luck. The ending tries to justify what you’ve just gone through but I don’t think it does. I think it’s a lousy explanation for lack of good game design. I heard there was DLC coming for this game and honestly I hope that’s true and I hope it expands upon the main game because there is something here. I just don’t like it in it’s current form. Maybe you will feel differently.

Fallow

Fallow

i’m not one to usually review games, and i’ve been putting reviewing this one off for a while now, but: fallow touched me deeply; it made me feel exceedingly personal feelings that games don’t often make you feel - and i think that you should play it as soon as you get the chance. it’s one of those games that you aren’t going to forget if you’ve gone through similar experiences to the ones presented at all, and the almost 8 years of work put into it really shows. small details, extra content that’s practically longer than the game itself, impossible-to-find dev commentary; a soundtrack that i cannot stop listening to on repeat- i bought the physical edition and am ecstatic about it coming in, if only for the bonus tracks on the cassette alone.

Real player with 15.3 hrs in game

Took a few days to chew on this after finishing it because it’s hard to write a review of a game that affected you so deeply. I’ll start by mentioning that I’ve followed Rook for a few years now so I knew I’d enjoy this game, but I was unprepared for how deeply it impacted me.

In just a few short hours, Fallow managed to touch on a great many of my own feelings and insecurities about things that I often cannot talk about, not out of fear but because there simply aren’t words to describe them. It did this in a way that felt totally genuine. Fallow touched me in a way I would say is underneath words.

NOSTALGIC TRAIN

NOSTALGIC TRAIN

画面がきれいだけど、字をもっと大きくするほうがいいじゃない

Real player with 11.5 hrs in game

The most beautiful game i ever played.

More like a relaxing trip to a rural Japanese town in the 1960s. Plus a train driving simulator.

It is difficult finding the right words. Right now there is only the Japanese version released, but an English translation is planned. So right now you definitely miss the best part of the game if you can’t read Japanese. The story mode is more than just a story, it is somewhere between poetry and memories of the past.

But even if you don’t speak Japanese and always dreamed to have a time machine and go to a small Japanese village in the 1960s this is the closest you’ll ever get.
