Nice game, good idea and potential genre. It became a part of my screen now since you dont need to do anything during battles.

really great game and concept! I don’t play many games for nearly this long

I wish the progression was unlimited somehow though.. it seems lightning spam covers most top spots? I have one concept strategy that may work but I don’t think the math will add up properly to counter lightning in the end… unlimited progression would just mean that, it would take an exponential amount of time to counter meta strategies (i think?)… (maybe a constantly shifting meta?) just a thought though, it may be tough to implement

Lights, Camera, Reaction!

Lights, Camera, Reaction!

VR + WarioWare + Jackbox + Platformer + Optional Multiplayer + Insanity = LCR.

Like all VR games there is a learning curve, but once we got the hang of it the game it was pretty fun. I personally like the reaction mode because the objectives are so random. Some are serious and straight forward, while others are comical and completely off the wall. You really don’t know what to prepare for next. I also can’t believe I found a game that features a co-op hipster run, complete with mustaches, pony tails, and PBR. It’s definitely quirky, but if you like good challenge, and a good laugh, than you’ll probably like the game.

Edit: Game currently does work for quest 2 after a patch. The game feels pretty early access, but theres still fun to be had. The games have a few bugs which cost you lives which is unfortunate, also some things are just straight weird like throwing grenades and just hoping they’ll blow up before you lose a life.

Don’t buy if your playing on a quest 2. You literally can’t get past the boot up screen. It loads, shows you a drape then you go to space and can’t do anything else. No reply in the disucssions about whats going on so I’d avoid this game as it already appears abandoned too.

Although there are not many reviews of this game and probably is not very popular, I really love it.

I mean, if you don’t treat it as a “game” but more like a peaceful corner of your device, you will understand what I’m saying.

I love the style and the relaxing vibe. I also particularly enjoy opening it up a few minutes every day to watch my trees progress or discover some novelty around. It is not a game to stay hours playing it (or at least for now).

I wish the developers gave some more info about what you need specifically to unlock certain things (i.e. receive letters from neighbors, send seeds, etc.) instead of blindly waiting for stuff to happen. But on the other hand that’s part of the charm of it, I guess.

Football Club Simulator - FCS #21

The game looks nice, it is a game which shows the football simulation witha a personal touch. It’s certainly has some bugs and that can disturb when playing. But it looks thaht they are solving and fixing the bugs.

Also, it’s another philosophy of the game and you see a tendency to set the guidelines themselves and create a model of game that is enjoyable and entertaining.

My opinion is that this game is seen potential and can become a very good game. We have to see the evolution of the game, that have a lot of work.

Verdict: 7/10

If you find it interesting to start with a very low grade team, and improve its economics and quality through time, this is the game for you.

PrivateJoh’s personal views:

Disclaimer: I am actually reusing a review of a game that has disappeared from Steam Store, which funnily enough is this one with a different name.

Manage your favorite football club, or just raise a small local club to dominate Champions League.

First of all, I have been a fan since the early days where the game was delivered in two 3.5 disks, so my review is probably biased. I should also say that I never play the matches, since the simulation part is what really attracts me. So, I cannot really comment on the arcade part of the game.

MARVEL Puzzle Quest

MARVEL Puzzle Quest

If you like Match 3 games, you will adore this one! Marvel Puzzle Quest really is the best I have ever played. If you are not into Match 3, I think you should still give this one a try, as it might just change your mind.

While the micro-transactions do make for a pay-to-win situation, you can still get there through ordinary grinding.

Highly recommended.

I’ve enjoyed this game and didn’t mind making in game purchases early on.

I had the account wiped after a patch once. I contacted customer service about it and they fixed it in 1 day.

It always runs smoothly on my PC.

I guess it is slow at first but after 2 years, I’ve got a great roster and many of my heros are maxxed so I can play as long as I want and don’t ever see the need to make another in game purchase.

Skulls of the Shogun

Skulls of the Shogun

Genius… PURE GENIUS on an epic level.

This is by far one of the most dynamic strategy board games I have ever played… I’m not comparing this to “Warhammer,” so don’t think I’m referring to some near-perfect Massive Masterfully Complex game like that… this is more twice to four times the size of chess to some degree, with about the same number of pieces Type wise i.e. King, Queen, Bishop, Knight, Rook, and Pawn… In “Skulls of the Shogun,” you have; General (Shogun), Calvary, Infantry, Archer, Fox Monk, Salamander Monk, Crow Monk, and Tonuki Monk. The Monks are pieces you get at ‘Summoning Shrines’ strategically placed in each ‘Map Board’ you can choose to play on. F.Y.I. There is a great selection of Map Boards to play on that all offer totally different dynamics of Method and Strategy. Going back to the types of pieces and their comparison, the monks are like the queen, they all offer different abilities and depending on the map can be more valuable then others, however, it’s all on how you play and the strategy you can come up with to adapt to any scenario that an opponent may throw at you. There is so much sophisticated beauty to how this game is designed. There is even a comparison to a small degree to checkers with all of this, as all of your pieces can consume the enemy bone Skulls to upgrade or evolve them into a super piece/unit that if enough are consumed (3 total) gets an additional action and depending on the Monk Piece you use, also gets an additional spell for every Skull consumed in addition to the added action.

I’ve played a few strategy games. I find most of the time they take a while to get going. You sit patiently as you build your army until you are strong enough to crush your opponent. This is not that kind of game. It is usually quite fast paced. This makes it great for casual gaming. You can jump on and do a quick match against the ai. Alternatively you can play the campaign which is a bit more difficult.

There are three basic units, the archer, the horseman, and the footman. The archer is arguably the best as they do the most damage and of course do it at range, however they have the lowest defence so if you get in close enough, they will die very quickly. Your most important unit is your general. If they die, you loose. There are also monks that have different abilities that you can get from capturing shrines. A map won’t always have a shrine but when it does, you can usually only find one type of monk.

Kind Words (lo fi chill beats to write to)

Kind Words (lo fi chill beats to write to)

This is not a game. This is a community of kind strangers helping each other with kind words. Your only reward will be nice music and rooms to decorate. But that truly is enough. Kind words are not for those who seek rewards or validation. You don’t meet or talk or make friends with anyone. Kind words isn’t made for that. It is just meant to be kind words spoken without reward or consequence between strangers. And in doing just that Kind Words elevates itself. It truly becomes a place where you can seek kindness from strangers, when real life deals you a bad hand.

I bought this game a long time ago on a recommendation from a friend, but never picked it up. Then one day recently I was feeling really down and useless about myself. I didn’t really want to play any of my usual favourites and I remembered I had this and thought I’d give it a go.

At first I thought it might be fun to vent into the aether (and I got some lovely responses), but soon I realised that replying to other people’s messages and helping where I thought I could felt great. So many people were going through things I’d been though and could help with. It’s a thoroughly charming game with so many enDEERing features, I’d recommend it to anyone whether you’re feeling good or bad. It’s the sort of game where playing for 15 minutes can make you feel better about the day.

12/22/18 EDIT: Live matchups were just released to the main build. Development is still going on and the Devs are very responsive on Discord. It’s early access and bugs are being worked out as the game develops. I now recommend to anyone who wants to support the games development. As of recent the average number of players on is 4-7 per day. I’m sure these numbers will grow with time.

12/16/18 EDIT: At this point I do not recomend buying this game for casual players. It is in early access for a reason. If you want to support the work sure, go ahead and buy it. The 20 single player missions might last you a few hours. The “multiplayer” against recordings of other players has rediculous load times right now. They just released a beta version with live multiplayer and some critical features of the game dont work in the current version. Will make sure to update my review as things change…

So to start off with, I understand that this game won’t appeal to everyone, but I figure if your someone who isn’t into this kind of thing you probably won’t be reading this. Probably.

Anyway, when I first got my Quest I picked up Job Simulator, largely because of how universally loved it seemed to be, but after about 45 minutes I submitted my first ever refund request. The only part I enjoyed was the kitchen, but I just found it clunky and lacking but it really made me want a good cooking game.

If you have been intrigued by AI researchers showing AIs trained to overcome obstacles and fight, this game is made for you. Set up a training scenario and watch them learn by fighting hundreds of battles per minute. I often have it running in the background attempting to train some interesting behavior.

A bit early access feel at this point, but major bugs have been ironed out already by the responsive developer.
