Takelings House Party

Takelings House Party

Picked this up as it’s one of the few asymmetrical VR games out there. Ultimately, it’s probably the best VR game you could play with friends. The concept is genius and it’s always a fun time when you’re chasing down your friends. It’s fun to replay the levels and there’s a few items/objects to spice things up.

The major downside to this game is simply the content. There’s only 3 levels, and while they’re all fun, I wish there was many many more. This game is so good you just want there to be tons and tons of levels. It only takes maybe an hour to pretty much see all there is to this game. I’ve still got 5x that, purely on replay-ability.

We’re a family of 5, ages 6+, and this game is quite a LOT of fun! Yes, it’s only got 3 levels…but to give everyone a chance to play every level in VR just once…that’s 15 rounds across 5 people! This game is NOT overpriced, and will be a family-game-night staple in our household as-is, but I WOULD NOT suggest it with fewer players - this is a PARTY game.

The kitchen level is really really good, though. The attic is really fun while the wall-breaking is really difficult. I suspect that they only get better with more players.

Pizza Master VR

Pizza Master VR

Multiplayer review only (I haven’t played single player because my wife and I play this together) Let me start off the review by saying that I enjoy the game, and will continue to play it. It’s a fun communication and VR asymmetric/local co-op pizza making and serving experience. The difficulty and progression system is hard and unbalanced. My wife and I also play the diner duo (another great game), but this game almost feels like the dark souls pizza version. I’ll list the grievances in bullets below:

This game is a mountain of fun with a friend. The interaction between the two roles is a blast, and in the later levels the difficulty ramps up and things get hectic! I have not played SP, but for Co-op this game is a must have. The game gets difficult enough that it really feels like a challenge and requires strategy from both players.

There are some issues. The knife collision with the meats is off at times, sometimes not cutting or sending the meat flying and spawning a new block. The knife also likes to start a new level in random places, which is a bit annoying. Grabbing pizza can sometimes grab ingredients instead, and sometimes ingredients will randomly fall of the pizza causing incorrect orders.

Loved it… After some 1 hour playing…. It´s great board game. Didn´t tried the original one. But this VR version is awesome. Very easy to play. Quite difficult to beat. Totally recomended to relax with your VR visor. Played on Oculus Quest 2. Standing up and seated down.

This game is pretty fun. It has 3 little games for fitness and I enjoyed the tennis one the most. It also lets you do the games in 3 difficulties or in endless mode. I def recommend

Wow!!! I didn’t really do much research on this game before launch day and it looked fun enough in the trailers. I decided to play it on stream and it was a ton of fun and created a lot of fun interaction with chat. This definitely made it towards the top of my fun VR games to play!

I was really concerned about how the multiplayer worked and couldn’t get alot of verified information on it at the time of researching. But basically everytime you clear a level it opens that level up to being able to be played in multiplayer. Then whenever you start a multiplayer game the people that want to join will go to the website trafficjams.app and will be given a 4 letter code to type in, once they are in they then have an overview of the map and can fanatically tap on different things to create chaos on the streets.

A nice party game, good for showing vr to starters.

You are a street traffic regulator and only need 2 commands to make the traffic flow the way you would like. You point out a vehicle or person with one hand, and either raise your hand palm to them to make them stop or wave your palm towards you to make them move (faster). There are some fun situations that make your job more interesting, like mini games whille regulating traffic. Your aim is to get the highest score. You can also make hand gestures to characters, and they respond back, but that is only a gimmic that doesn’t influence the overal game flow.

I really dug this. I knew going in it wasn’t a game per say but I was actually relaxed and kind of mesmerized. I would say I think the $12.99 price I got it for is a lil' steep for basically a 20 minute stint, so i think I would be happier if it was like $5-maybe $10 and they would probably sell more. I like that it isn’t just a bunch of images in a 360 sphere you are looking at but real 3d models moving around and things. In fact, although it might be hard to do as this looked like it took quite the team to get it out, I would absolutely LOVE if they did chapters/dlc for $5 a piece and had different artists attempt the same kind of trip, same amount of time, in their own way. I could honestly see myself “using” this once a week to relax or something and definitely showing VR to my friends with.

I’ve had an HTC Vive since 2017 and from the outset, noted that coming out of VR is more like emerging from dream than quitting a flat game. I think it’s compounded of two elements: the 360 ‘being there’ immersivity of VR, but also the physical activity which, no matter how limited, purges the adrenalin that static gaming leaves you full of.

I’ve been predicting VR psychedelics for as long as I’ve had the headset and I have several quite hallucinatory VR apps and games in my library: Chroma Lab, Cosmic Sugar, Emergence Fractal Universe, The Bond, Form. It was a no-brainer to buy Ayahuasca as soon as it came out.

Very fun game, start a little slow, good for kids and training ;) but after some levels the fun starts, I liked the shape that make you turn and move your arm and body. I suggest to developer to include new peaces formats for the next levels and custom songs, but it’s nice I recommend it
