Rogue Summoner

Rogue Summoner

Fun game, not for everyone and often quite unforgiving but something fresh and new.

It’s a combination of a Roguelike and a creature game, which is unusual in itself, but rather than command them, they act based on pre decided abilities and behaviours and where you place them, though you are shown a lot of what might happen on a turn. There is some trial and error as you learn the creatures abilities, but it’s very satisfying when it all comes together. And the guide iIve just made tells you what all the creatures do so there is that.

–- Don’t buy the game —-

Since January no patches anymore and no reaction for 2 weeks on my question if they will continue developing the game. Maybe it is temporary, but I would at least wait until the development is progressing again. Just a pity, because the game has good potential sniff.

As a really fan of these kind of autobattlers I bought the game for 3 euro’s when it came out. The games plays smoothly, but in 20 min my run was finished and I won the game and did it again and again. Total 1 hr play.

Incarnata: Dormant Stories

Incarnata: Dormant Stories

Incarnata is a text-based game where everything is procedurally generated: offering an incredible depth, within an infinite world.

Dive into this adventure simulation and become everything you decide to be. The game adapts and builds challenges, creates unique characters, places, and goals for you to weave your own story.

Gameplay depth

Will you aim for your enemy’s throat or maybe their left eye? Will the memory of this fight stop your character from sleeping tonight? Are you wearing enough layers of clothes to protect you from the cold? Create your own story by playing with an unprecedented level of depth.

Procedural everything

Everything in Incarnata is generated by a complex algorithm. The world, the items you find, but also the story you are going to live through. Love, Betrayal, Twists, and Challenges are all handled by an algorithm meant to always keep you on your toes.

Extremely moddable

About everything in the game can be changed. Play as a human in a medieval fantasy world, a cyber human in a dystopian future, a wild animal with godly powers. Anything you can think of, the game can be made to play.

As a modder, you are able to change the world the players will explore but also the very actions that are at their disposal. Incarnata works as the platform where your dream world will come to life.

Your custom-made content is incorporated within the procedural generation algorithm, allowing creators to be players in their own world.

“The last thing you hear before being exploded by an angry monkey? Ba-BOOM”

Some of you have never played Concept Software’s Alien which was released for the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, and Amstrad CPC in 1984. For the most part, I suspect most of you have not played Concept Software’s Alien directly because it was released for the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, and Amstrad CPC in 1984. But! Despite its near 40-year lifespan and the now-archaic hardware it calls home, I might offer the argument that you’ve been missing out. In fact, screw it, I will! It’s frankly amazing what that game manages to do with so little, and how hard it works on being an authentic companion piece to the seminal film it shares its name with.

Real player with 2.6 hrs in game

Apparently this is a remake from a really old C64/spectrum game, and they made a great job on the graphics and music.

Nothing is explained but once you get the gist of it, it’s about moving from room to room and switching characters to do actions and guess where the alien is, pretty cerebral, slow and frankly archaic. This was acceptable in the very early 80s, on the first 8 bit computers, but difficult to recomend today unless you’re really hardcore nostalgic.

I might not be the target audience

Load Roll Die

Load Roll Die

Exciting and strategic dice combat!!! Its lots of fun discovering all the different ways you can combine different dice faces to create a unique battle plan. The dice and plentiful cardboard landscapes feel really physical and its satisfying rolling a bunch of dice at once and watching them pile up! Dice go brrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Real player with 7.4 hrs in game

I was given this game for free a few days before the official launch, so my 2-ish hours are solely based on that build. No, I was not given compensation for playing the game and my review is unbiased.

Load Roll Die is a Roguelite Dicebuilder game, in which you move your little blob character through various randomized maps, fighting enemies and bosses, collecting different types of dice and powers for each die. It’s a very challenging game, but in a way I don’t think it really should be. Being a game revolving around dice, it’s reliance on RNG is almost absolute, with an almost healthy amount of strategy involved, given that you can create some interesting and powerful builds if you have the right powers and the correct dice, but it’s always a gamble to see what you loot from enemies, find in chests and buy from shops, which items are sometimes overly expensive for the small amount of currency you get overall. Enemies get from easy to hard really quickly as well, each one having their own specific builds that sometimes are perfected to do something specific, such as replicating dice, dealing a lot of poison damage, destroying a bunch of your own dice, etc, most of which are extremely reliable and non-RNG dependant, contrary to your shabby builds at those levels. Some other issues lie in QoL stuff, such as some powers being confusing to understand from their descriptions being vague or poorly explained, and how at the start of the game you can start off without any dice on accident, making you unable to advance.

Synthetic Hazard

Game is not bad. But I still don’t know how to open crate. It’s glowing yellow hologram, so I just thinking “Can I open this?” then I pressed E key. But nothing happened. So I pressed F key. Still, nothing happened.

You know, this game is not included any tutorial. So I don’t know about key. Only we can figure out key is WASD(Movement), Ctrl(Crouch or slide), Space bar(Jump), R key(Reloading ammo) And mouse drag and Left Click(Attack).

In trailer video, there is lot of weapon. I want those too! But I can’t. Because I don’t know how to find and equip new weapon.

Real player with 3.0 hrs in game

This is a GREAT freebie and absolutely worthy of the early access title on Steam. It’s an FPS that reminds me of the Serious Sam franchise, in which you just run around shooting a ton of stuff with different weapons and try not to die. Give it a whirl! Yes, it has promise- most early access games do. Yes, it needs a little work- all games do.
