Magnat: Beer Maker

Magnat: Beer Maker

Magnat: Beer Maker is a business simulation and management game. Take the challenge, manage your own beer factory(s), manage your warehouses, employees, production lines and transportation of merchandise.

Logistics to manage

To produce, you usually need a production line, resources to refine, storage and transportation. In Magnat: Beer Maker, the goal being to produce beer, you will need to import and store the raw materials, refine, brew in tanks, store the beer, bottle it and finally send it to the client.

Recruit and manage your employees

When you want to develop your business, there is nothing better than hiring employees to help you with your tasks. The employees in your factory can help you with most tasks and it is up to you to tell them what to do, but be sure to monitor them.

A realistic economy

Every action has a cost and it’s up to you to manage your finances well. From recruitment to transportation to taxes, the whole finance system in Magnat: Beer Maker has been designed to be as close to reality as possible.

Customize and upgrade your factory

In order to produce beer you need all kinds of machines. Once you have invested in new machines, you can place them wherever you want in your factory, but be careful not to block the way of your vehicles and employees! It is also possible to upgrade the equipment you have and produce more efficiently. Expanding your factory if you lack space is also a possibility.

The puzzle and gameplay aspect of the game is pretty good though the visuals is rather lacking, which may be part of the game’s aesthetic. The gameplay is what matters most though, which is a nice defense game where you need to place certain defensive mechanism in order to prevent an enemy from reaching the end of the level. There are a lot of levels which ramps up nicely and gets you to think. There are also various tools you use like mines and cannons. Other aspects also show up such as change in gravity from time to time which changes the direction the enemy moves, so that would be needed to be factored in when strategising and placing your defense. Overall, it is a good puzzle game, though with nicer visuals, would be great.

Poorly optimised android port and/or an unfinished port. But as not in early access approach this as a full game.

Way too buggy, including game ending faults at the moment. Not sure the game will contain enough levels to even compete within the genre with the gameplay coming across as cookie cutter. The engine feels clunky and delayed.

The fun of the game is not coming from challenge or story for me.

The tutorial shouldn’t even exist as it explains the easier sections of the game, then does not even touch on the more complex areas and the help files aren’t helpful.

Veeeeery clunky controls and game breaking bugs. The first time the game hicked up completely, couldn’t even get past entering all the data for creating the farm. On the second save I bought a milktool by accident and every NPC now says “Thanks for buying that.”, rendering me unable to purchase anything. I also have one strawberry seed I can plant endlessly. Developer, try harder please.

Ark of Loif

Ark of Loif

I wanted to like this game, but it is way too difficult for me. And not in a Dark Souls good kind of way.

You pick up an AK at the start with 10 rounds, go to the first level and a spider tries to attack you. First two shots are missing, I think. It is hard to tell, because I couldn’t tell if it actually hit the spider since there was no reaction, like blood or anything like that. I shot 5 times and the Spider died. Suddenly I hear another Spider coming at me, shot 5 times again and killed it. So with my 0 out of 10 bullets another one approached me. “Oh shit what do I do?” is what I screamed before I got killed.

EDIT AFTER FINISHING:

I finished the game today and I can say that I would recommend this game. It held my attention and was unique enough. The ending left a bit to be desired, but sometimes life does as well. Good work!

EDIT (Version 1.3):

I logged back into game after the version 1.3 update with the nerf to the first enemy and I have to say that it was helpful. I appreciate the developer taking time to respond to the review and explain the crouch/stealth mechanic in more detail. I can honestly say that I was pleased with the way that the player had to deal with the next enemy in that it took a little bit of pre-planning and setup to get it right. I’ll try to play the rest of the game tomorrow. Oh and the volume sliders are a big plus!

Nebraska is a Penumbra-esque Outlast horror game. With some elements of Amnesia in its build up and SOMA in its story.

This is a non-combat type of horror game, where you cannot fight the enemies. Within the non-combat horror games, there are two subgenres; 1. where the best tactic is to run, enemies seem smarter but not fast (E.G. Outlast), 2. where the best tactic is to hide, enemies are usually faster but more stupid (E.G. Amnesia, Phasmophobia). This game falls into the first category. HOWEVER, what Outlast fails to do, Nebraska did better. This game IS better than Outlast.

Festivals - Headliners

Festivals - Headliners

Design your Event Sites, Book Artists, Build your Career as a Promotor and Produce your own Festivals in Festivals - Headliners.

Construct your Site

Build the festival site of your dreams with dozens of stages, food stalls, bars, and hundreds of decorations, billboards and lights. Put up fences and lay down paths to guide your guests in the right direction across your venue and include signing to manage any crowding. Use generators and power lines to form a temporary power grid. And most important of all, keep your fans safe.

Setup your Lineup

Every festival needs entertainment! Book bands, DJs and other talent to entertain your visitors, design awesome shows, include special effects, and make it a night your guests will never forget. And add fireworks. Lots and lots of fireworks.

As your career progresses, you make more connections, and get the option to book some very popular artists and acts for your events. Take good care of them, they’ll draw in huge crowds!

Be ready for D-Day

Start load-in early enough to be ready on time, but not too early or you’ll spend too much on rental. Don’t start too late, because you’ll never know what might happen. The event industry always has some “interesting” surprises for you along the way. Stay on schedule!

Staff Management

A festival is only as successful as the staff running it. They are your most vital asset, treat them accordingly. Hire staff in advance, so you know you have the best people on your team. Provide training and coaching to ensure they’ll stay with you for years.

During the event, provide them with good catering and plenty of breaks. As always, safety is important, so make sure everyone is wearing earplugs!

Finance

While hosting festivals is the most fun job in the world, money still has the be made to pay the bills. Not everyone is doing this for fun. You have to be careful not to overspent. As most festivals don’t make any profit in their first 3 events, don’t be to hard on yourself, but if you’re still in the red by year 4, you might want to consider a different profession. Also, not everyone is to be trusted. Watch out to make sure you’re not lured into anything illegal.

First-person / Third person

Of course you’ll want to witness the spectacle first-hand. As your the head of the event, your AAA card grants you access to every nook and cranny of the venue. Walk around among guests in first-person view, take control of the FOH booth where the lights are controlled, or join the talent on stage to wave at the crowd!

Workshop

From the early release on Steam on, you’ll be able to share your festival sites on the Steam workshop to share with your friends! Before the final release, we’ll add options to add your own assets to the game, which you’ll also be able to share on the workshop. How this exactly is going to work is still a secret, sign up as a tester to learn more first hand!

Progress

  • 2019: Initial work

  • 2020: Work on background systems

  • Now - 2021: Get frontend ready for (beta) testing by end of year

  • 2022: (Early) Release

  • 2023: Initial DLC’S

Tester Needed!

We’re currently actively looking for testers! We hope to ship a first playable version in private beta soon, sign up using this form now to make sure you’re included!

Initially we’ll be testing on windows mostly, but if you want to test on macOS or a console, please let us know through the form, once we’re ready for you, you’ll be the first to know.

Tennis Manager 2021

Tennis Manager 2021

To begin with, i was actually quite happy with my purchase as i got to grips with the mechanics of the game. rode the highs and lows of a season and achieved the required objectives to go into season 2.

First minor gripe is that you are not aware of what attributes would be beneficial in your new role as coach on your first play through, so i hedged my bets and unfortunately didnt get my attributes right. now i’m stuck as a 3.5 star coach with no way of improving. not ideal. basic highlighting would have done the job.

Alright, let’s write this feedback in English (and not in Russian or French) in order to be visible to a higher number of people who consider to buy Tennis Manager 2021.

I have bought this game “thanks to” an important ankle injury, which threw me out of tennis for at least 9 months. I am a tennishead. I play it myself, I watch it and now I also play it on virtual courts. Before, i was more a football fan. I mean THE football which is played with… feet, not this American Rugby thing which i quite like by the way. 10 years ago I used to play Football Manager a lot and i must say that Tennis Manager is quite similar to it, although there is a lot of things to improve.
