I played a previous version with friends and with the developer on Gamescom two years ago. I bought it as soon as it was released on steam.

The versus mode is the only mode I played so far, which is already a blast of fun: killing your friends with good moves and lucky shots.

Only downside: There’s only remote play but no pure online play.

Rating: 10/10

This game is an absolute masterpiece, it will forever be S-Tier to me. It’s a competitive game solely based on who has better aim, cutting out the middle man like most games. Though old, the graphics and maps are very stunning and iconic. This game is not for everyone because it’s hard to master the different weapons, a lot of the players are top tier, and the game sadly isn’t very popular anymore, so consider all when buying.

I bought this game and played it a little (Relatively) and what can I say …

The game is very interesting, but as such is boring and not finalized there are weapons, robots and even few skins, plus there is good graphics, not bad optimization of the game itself.

Of the minuses, I can note that the game is simply boring, there is nothing to do here, you can shoot a little and that’s it.

Dear developers, and where is the mission or at least companies for the game, because in the game, except for stupidly shooting at stupid bots that cannot go down from the embankment, there is basically nothing to do …

Great combination of Warface and Overwatch at a very good price (thanks for the 10% discount)

The online arena is really intense and the variety of weapons just drives me crazy. So many awesome assault rifles that you want to try out every single one of them. It’s insane.

I’ll be calling my friends to help me out. By the way do you have a discord channel where we could cooperate with other players?

At the moment online is low but I hope this will improve over time.

I also noticed that at the moment optimization leaves much to be desired. This is not critical and does not interfere with the game but this problem exists. Tinshift is in early access so I thought I would share this information with the developers.

Worms Rumble

Worms Rumble

I always wanted to learn how to ninja rope like the pros in Worms 1999. Now there is Worms Rumble, a real time action game with ninja ropes. The jetpack will probably give you a bigger advantage, but that’s ok since ninja roping is way more fun! There were many bugs we came across at the release, but after a week the devs fixed most of them and continue to work hard making the game better. The devs always replied to my concerns and complaints in the forums. There are many complaints about wanting destructible environments, girders, land mines, and other cherished worms related things, but as you can see this is a real time action game and not turn based so I welcome the new changes.

Worms Rumble is an example of how to NOT do a online service. I respect Team 17 and their developers but its very apparent that this is their first attempt for a fully online experience.

This game is fun and I really enjoy it when I get around to playing it but my god is the waiting times a chore. If i’m not waiting 5-10 minutes if i’m lucky with 1/6th of the lobby filled, I’m waiting for the game to boot me out of searching for that match to reset the process.

The games bugs make the game almost unfun to play half the time. Any projectile based weapon like a bazooka or a plasma gun just clip through the map and do no damage. The shield will sometimes lose its collision box and just become a useless piece of junk and a mark on your back. The fact these bugs have been going on since launch its obvious they’re never going to get around to fixing them due to their only interest being cosmetic fluff.

DRONE The Game

DRONE The Game

One hell of a game. Although still a prototype, I think you’ll enjoy the public release. I was a backer for this project and I can say that the money I spent was more than worth it. If you paid mind to the game’s info, you likely saw the 12 backer tiers. I started out at Tier 2 (“Traveler”) when I first heard of the game. When they released the multiplayer demos I couldn’t wait, so I bumped up to Tier 3 (“Explorer”) a few months later. Last year I decided to upgrade to Tier 4 (“Operator”), and as of 2 July 2019 I ended up upgrading to Tier 5 (“Engineer”) because this game really has turned out so well. If you needed proof for how much these guys delivered, here you go.

This game showed significant promise in its early stages, and the main draw for me was being able to build and fly my own little fighting drones in the editor - with the hope of eventually being able to create land-based units with tank treads or mechanical legs.

However, development on this title unfortunately seems to have slowed to a complete halt: there hasn’t been an update, not even a bugfix, in over a year, and there’s been no word on how development is progressing in about 6 months.

They succeeded in their promise of delivering a functional drone editor, but even then a good portion of its features and place-able parts are unfinished, and at the moment users are restricted to basic cubes which they can cut into other shapes, as opposed to the totally freeform shapes seen in prebuilt designs. There’s also the slight issue of players being able to min-max their builds to obscene effectiveness by just putting a bunch of wings or something.

I have mixed feelings about this game, especially at it’s current state. It’s straight up Abandonware, and it’s been that way since Steam put it back up on the Store in 2016. It kinda sucks that the game went down like it did because it looked like it had a lot of potential to have a massive playerbase and community, only for THQ to defunct and take Nexuiz with them. If you were to look in the reviews, workshop, community, and discussions, you can see a huge gap between all the positive reviews from 2012 and all the negative reviews from 2016 to present day.

Final Impressions:

The Medal Master achivement appears, presently, to be unachiveable, as no medals seem to be produced from bot matches and there are insufficient players for proper pvp/quick matches.

The issue with speed vs. fire rate for several weapons still seems to apply (not a lag issue) and this is unfortunate and makes, at least for me, a handful of the weapons totally useless.

I would recommend this game if it were picked up in a bundle and/or certainly if it becomes free. As a standalone purchase however, this game has an insufficient player base to justify the expense.
