Bowslinger

Bowslinger

I played a bunch of the archery game from the lab, loved it, decided I needed more, and bought this. I am not at all dissapointed. The game is fantastic, and I’m sure it will give me plenty of playtime. It has 5 modes: Target practice, challenge, free shoot, endless, and juggling (where you try to keep apples in the air by continually shooting them). All of them feel great, and the game provides useful stats at the conclusion like accuracy, arrows fired, score and grade. The one complaint I have is that I wish it had some kind of a high score tracker - it doesn’t need to be complex, but just some way of comparing your results against previous trials. That beign said, this is a great, well-polished archery game.

This game has probably the best bow mechanics of all the Vive archery games right now. The environment is pretty simple and the gamemodes are a little limited right now but what’s there works really well, mechanically. The high score board keeps you coming back for more, trying to beat other people’s scores as well as improve your own. The presentation is charming, the bow mechanics are excellent, and with more content & modes this will easily be the best archery experience for VR.

Well first off this is probably one of my favorite vr games of all time. It has tons of things to do and lots of minigames. Some of my favorite things to do were bake pizzas, deliver news papers, clip the plants, kill the zombies, take selfies, play basketball, hit things with an axe, destroy the houses (which are destructible), and just fool around trying to beat my other scores. So I guess what I’m trying to say is… if you have vr, and you don’t own this game… THEN GET IT! Oh and if you want to see gameplay then simply go to this link. https://www.youtube.com/watchv=KldInHTo7Ik&feature=youtu.be

Like many VR games, this was neat when it came out but now just feels more like a dated tech demo. It’s probably fun for kids and it really has a lot of unique and creative variety when it comes to archery games. Don’t expect much expect for some fun mini games and lots of hidden easter eggs and minigames to find.

If I could give it a neutral rating I would. Get it on sale if you really want to check it out or add it to your collection.

Wow.

This game is incredibly detailed, it drops you directly into immersion straight from the menu.

Controls are incredibly intuitive, it genuinely feels like your drawing arrows and is uniquely satisfying. (I feel like Green Arrow)

The immersion is great, Surroundings seem natural and lifelike and the music is perfect for this style of game.

The game itself runs flawlessly. Your character is equipped with a bow and arrow and special abilities that help deal with larger waves. The waves of monsters you fight increase at a steady difficulty making the experience challenging but immensely satisfying.

This is one of my first VR experiences and all I can say so far is wow…

I fond this game so addictive and rewarding! Vs my normal games, because it had a more “real” sensation to it, I felt I gained something to a different level.

Now moving onto the game specifics.

For a first VR game it is brilliant, the artwork and textures are brilliant and so smooth. The physics of the box and arrow; even though I am no trained archer, are so accurate and fantastic with the added benefit of not taking all too long to adapt to.

Good job games wonderful definitely if you want to practice do levels 1 through 5. A few times and then after that continue with the game it’s incredible good game. I use a controller with it and. I use companion controller which is good it’s in the steam library that would be good then you get that and you’re all set to play with a controller Works beautiful good job with the game I wish it would make some other Target games like this should make it a shooting game next that would be good

Worst archery game ever. Do not buy. Too many issues with this game to even list.

Not fit for an adult or child. I knew it might be poor from reading the previews but I thought I should give it a shot. No pun intended. I had no idea it would be this bad. Disappointing.

Arrowpoint

Arrowpoint

Arrowpoint is a very nice Indie-game. You are riding on the back on a horse along a corridor and try to shoot targets with bow and arrows While the horse is autorunning, you only have to concentrate on the shooting, which is a little bit tricky but makes a lot of fun. The best part of the game is the surreal background, because after some normal targets, a big flying whale appears. For me, this alone is a reason to recommend the game. It is new and cool. Handling is very good, but there is no option for the mouse sensitivity. Graphics are sweet, music is very good. Overall, it is a great little title.

Definitely a fun game, even though it doesn’t last that long. It has good replay value for a while. Would certainly love some new levels and mouse sensitivity slider.

Pros:

  • Looks great aesthetically

  • Nice physics

  • Fun gameplay

  • Awesome music and menu

  • Dirt cheap!

Cons:

  • Can’t change mouse sensitivity, and the stock sensitivity is a bit fast for me personally

Overall, a great game and it shows that you can make good games. Looking forward to the next game(s). I will keep playing to try and get a better score.

Can’t recommend in its current state, for Vive. I have done real archery, played and enjoyed several VR archery titles. For some reason the virtual arrow is frustratingly difficult to nock, and disconnects easily as though my fingers pulled right through the string or my hand pulled away.

Elven Assassin is an example where once you nock, the string position is locked to your finger until you release. Similarly, the arrow angle looks and feels more natural when it sticks out from between your fingers like a cigarette rather than in line with fingers.

I have played this game since it released.

By far, I think this is best graphics archery VR game as shown in the trailer.

Devs are active, shooting feels nice and realistic.

Looking forward upcoming updates.

Holopoint: Chronicle

Holopoint: Chronicle

This is a well made game that doesn’t make me feel sick. Every VR game I had played previously made my eyes hurt. This game has smooth graphics that feel natural. It is easy to tell that alot of time and effort went into the design for this game. Small details such as ground texture, 3D menues, and even fish make for a truely beautiful game. Any issues that I have had are limitations of the device rather than the game. The game feels balanced and has a good learning curve. This is not to say that it does not get difficult. There are parts where you will fail multiple times. I enjoy learning how to deal with each type of enemy. I highly recommend playing this game yourself before watching a playthrough.

Compared to the original Holopoint

+It’s much prettier

+More areas

+No drawing arrows from quiver

+Active and responsive dev

-Missing options available in Holopoint, such as 1-handed aiming. In fact, there doesn’t seem to be an options menu at all. (1-handed aiming added in beta)

-Doesn’t run as well on i7-4770k@4.4GHz & 2080Ti

-I dislike the music

If you enjoy wave based shooting gallery bow and arrow vr games, this is one of many to choose from. After about 6 hours I’m just now on the 5th stage of the first of two Queendoms populated with only slim, light-skinned women. It may take you more or less time to get where I am depending on your ability to aim well, prioritize targets, dodge or repel incoming enemy missile attacks, and make good hiring and purchase decisions between onslaught waves,

Each Queendom has 5 stages, and each stage has a minimum of four waves to complete. Scoring headshots regularly, and having high accuracy, will increase the amount of gold you earn each wave. There are a plethora of enemy models with unique attack types, movement, and special effects.

This game has been an absolute blast! I see moba style games coming in the near future thanks to ideas that this game has implemented to semi-similar games of the overall same genre. Wave based, tower defense, upgradable weaponry, decent teleport system, and downright pretty.

Oh yeah, did I mention it’s hard?

(She told me so, but I had already been aware)

I’ve been enjoying trying to figure out the best way to spend my loot in order to die in the most lengthy possible way. I’ve gotten to the centaur-type boss on level 6 once.

The island and accompanying music were fairly pleasant! I got around to engage in the jogging and archery portions of the game and I must say that both of them were fun! Would recommend if you enjoy calm environments.

So I cannot game recommend this collection of VR sports-themed mini-games. They consist of archery, boxing, and running / jogging in an island setting. The island map is probably the best thing about this game. The visuals aren’t great, but they are nice enough.

Unfortunately, two of the three sports title are just bad. The boxing mini-game, where you basically just hit 3 targets on a boxing dummy over and over again, wave after wave with no challenge is the worst of the bunch. It basically looks and plays like a learn how to make your first VR game in Unreal Engine from Zenva.

VR King of Battle Cards

VR King of Battle Cards

This game started off a bit rough and hard to play, but the developer continued to work on and improve the game, and the results are showing a lot.

The game is fun to play and anyone who loves card games would love this too; each creature has its own stats and you can improve each cards individual stats, such as a creatures speed, attack speed, strength, etc, so you can make creatures a lot stronger. The potential for this game is big, and I cant wait to see what new creatures and spells get added into the game, as well as multiplayer hopefully in the future!
