Bit Blaster XL
This is one of those games not so good to have a positive review but neither so bad to have a negative one.. so, since this can be often bought on sale, and there’s no middle option, i’m forced to be positive :P
The game itself is quite basic and adds really nothing nothing nothing new: it’s an endless shooter, in which you control a starship (you can buy new ones with different speed, health, fire rate etc. later in the game) in a rectangular fixed space and you have to shoot enemies, asteroids and such (there’s auto-fire, but you’ll also run out of ammo quite soon!).

A simple and fun arcade game, similar to Asteroids but with a variety of power-ups and a decent selection of enemies.
You are constantly moving forward, something which I found frustrating at first, but you get used to it as part of the challenge. Boosting lets you reach far-away powerups or pick enemies off before they have a chance to fire, while breaking is extremely useful for avoiding projectiles.
There are various ships to unlock with their own speed, fire-rate, shield- and bomb-count. Firing your weapon depletes ammo which must be collected by defeated enemies, and more powerful weapons use up ammo faster. If you run out of ammo completely you lose your powerup but there is a pretty limited ammo counter so you don’t want to pick up more than you can hold. This all adds a bit of strategy where avoiding ammo pick-ups lets you keep your powerful weapon for much longer, potentially the entire run, but does create additional obstacles and limit your movement further.

Arcade Moonlander
Arcade Moonlander is both a fun and challenging game well worth taking a look at. The controls are precise and the collision system works well which is important for navigating the more challenging aspects of the maps. Although the game is relatively short (10 arcade levels plus the adventure mode level), there is a lot of replay value. For me the most fun and challenging aspect of the game is trying to do speed runs and compete with other players' best times on the global leaderboards. Attempting speed runs on each of the levels, and then a complete run of all levels, gives many many hours of gameplay.

70 / 100
Games like this remind me of why I fell in love with gaming. Call back to simpler times. Precise controls with pure skill based play. Enough content for the asking price with some replayability vying for the best times.
-
Perfect implementation of the thruster & directional controls. Spot on!
-
Varied & challenging maps/modes.
-
One of those annoying games that is both frustrating & addictive at the same time!
-
Sticking the landing (especially at speed or low fuel) feels great!

Wizorb
Introduction:
Wizorb is a Breakout style game that combines the familiar gameplay of Breakout with RPG elements. How does this interesting combination work together? Quite well, actually. While there are apparent flaws in the game at some moments, as a whole, Wizorb is worth playing.
Gameplay:
While RPG elements are present, there is no real “story” to speak of. Simply put, you’re a Wizard who uses paddleball magic to defeat monsters. Neat! By earning a high score and defeating enemies, you are awarded with gold (GP). This gold can be used to purchase extra lives, help the people of Tarot Village, and charms - such as triple balls, a magnet, double damage, and more - that are lost upon death. Gold is very plentiful in the game, making affording these things practically a non-issue. While this is not a flaw, it removes some thinking from the game.

Wizorb is a breakout game. If you don’t like breakout games don’t buy it. If this style of game intrigues you, read on.
The main part of the game is broken up into levels of breakout games. There is a story about saving a village and you only really need to pay attention to that if you’re an achievement hunter. This is more of a side-story than anything.
The gameplay is good as far as breakout games go. Broken up into several worlds of about 12 levels each, offering differing setups and enemies. It is static however, so on any replay you will get the same levels. There is a “magic meter” which you can make use of to temporarily increase the powers of your ball, or you can use powerups bought in “stores”. All of this is good. The only major problem is that if you wish to exit the game mid-world, it will save your level progress but you will lose your score. It almost feel like a bug marked as a feature.

Crashed Lander
Hey guys,
I found this game some time ago cause it was on PayWhatYouWant. When the trailer started to play a “wow this is cool!!' came out of me. Now with the global-leaderboard update I got the chance to do a restart of the game. (trying to beat the Dev Don for the highscore (-: ) Make sure to read the instructions and tips, e.g. update to Beta via the shortcut in your steamlist and extra keys for you to look around and play the game in first person view. I don’t have a VRset but this might be the reason to look into it… I hope it comes with anti-gravity pills tho… LOL

For anyone who likes the idea of a 3D Lunar Lander, I can recommend this game. The objective is to pilot your small spacecraft / drone through different environments and land it on all of the landing pads of each level as quickly as possible. The challenge is that you have to deal with gravity, environmental hazards, and landing pads that are sometimes camouflaged or obscured. Similar to the original Atari Lunar Lander, there isn’t any combat and you don’t ferry any cargo. The environments you pilot your ship through are varied and imaginative, and you can further challenge your flying skills by flying through rings in a type of challenge mode. There is also a ‘hard’ mode that basically makes flying your ship a much more manual and hands-on process, as well as hidden objects to find throughout the game. For the modest asking price, there is a good amount of content. It doesn’t take too long to see everything, but a lot of the fun comes from the challenge of completing levels as quickly and as recklessly as possible. I feel this type of game appeals mainly to a niche audience, and if you fall into that niche this game is worth checking out.

DRAW CHILLY
I want to like this game.
Great graphics, cool theme, lots of humor, decent pacing.
My primary issue is that the game isn’t particularly skill-based. It’s mostly a matter of getting good powerup drops, and grinding endlessly. After about 1 hour of play I discovered all there was to know about the game-play, after that there was no room for me as a player to grow… just hold Attack, spam abilities, on and on.
I really feel like this could be an amazing game… it needs… polish?
One thing I really disliked is the feeling that when you attack you’re just fanning at air. There’s no hit interruptions for you or foes, you just swing like you’re cutting through air and the enemies do the same to you. Maybe that’s what needs to be revisted by the devs.

Wonderful game with tons of humor, beautiful music and scenery. You will fight armies of monkeys and 10 bosses with your weapon, your own army and powerful skills. Mighty Horsemen of the Apocalypse will aid you with rewards and directly in combat causing pure carnage. You can upgrade Vladimir’s stats and horde certain skills for future use with vladcoins, making yourself , your army and Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse stronger the more you play. The game has funny and mysterious story mode, endless mode with random bosses where you can keep going endlessly after you beat the final boss in stoty mode, unlocking more power and challenges, and challenge mode for highest floor reached for records chart.

DUNKYPUNG
This is the kind of game I unwind with in my bed, with my Steam Link and Xbox Controller, until my eyes can’t stay open any longer.
And you get to hear Nathan Meunier say the word “pung” a lot. What’s not to like?

One of the worst hardcore games i’ve ever played. Completely luck-based, specially the last stages. I have some videos that proof how impossible is to escape of some situations, in case anyone is interested. Also, that intenste yellow color is really annoying after a long time playing. The best of this game? His Steam page, at least the dev have some humour.

Feel-A-Maze
I have had this game for a while now. This is one of the games that I bought a little before I sunk into my triple-digit buying splurge period, which means when I added this to my cart it was in regard to honest interest.
Having played the game, I’m grateful to have purchased it. I admit I haven’t managed to acquire all achievements yet. All the same, I feel ready to give a review.
Like a lot of reviews I write, I hope to come back to add on to this and embellish. Right now it’s a matter of getting brass tacks up front and hopefully helping Feel-A-Maze get noticed.

The goal of this game is very simple - in every level you need to move a ball to the exit through a maze without touching the edges of the maze and avoiding all other obstacles. There is a time requirement for every level - you get 1 - 3 stars per level according to your time performance; these stars are needed for unlocking all the levels.
This is considered to be one of the games in which you can obtain 100% achievements very easy – some do it in 30 minutes – 1 hour. For me, the experience of obtaining 100% was a quite frustrating because I had to retry each level several times and push myself to do it faster and faster to the point in which my wrist started to hurt like hell. Depending on your mouse type and mouse grip or maybe depending on your coordination skills and quick reactions that have been trained or not by extensive session of FPS – this might be a fun game for you or not.

Tags: 4-lane tuberunner with dubstep. Slow pacing. The bullets do not destroy obstacles and the powerup lift is arguably ill designed. Play Redout instead.
Fermi’s path comes across as a unity engine runner with aspirations to have a lot of accessibility to a large swathe of player. The level design always consists of a tube with the only variation coming in with the placement of coins and powerups.

Runners usually please me, especially the science-themed ones like ‘Boson X’ or ‘The Collider’, but I don’t recommend this game for it is unfairly hard and generally dull, plus it has blurry textures and lags on weaker machines. It’s very difficult to assess right distances for your movement on that monotonous pathway you travel, there are no landmarks to judge it. Sometimes when the path bends you can’t even see the upcoming obstacles, so you’ll have to memorize the pre-made levels by heart. I shall hunt for achievements a bit, but I curse the devs already, Im so bored..

Gravitron 2
I just realised I’ve played 21 hours of this game (maybe more, I feel like Steam ‘lost’ the playing hours for several of my games over the years) and while looking to see what else existed from the same developer, I found this game has very few reviews and they are ‘mixed’! Travesty!
I have been coming back to this game year after year - it’s such a great 10 minute time-filler and finally progressing past that level that you have been stuck on for a couple of days is extremely satisfied (amplified by the adrenaline fuelled 60 seond escape timer at the end of each level).
– Real player with 25.3 hrs in game
The reviews currently say “mixed” which is INSANE. Those of you that wrote negative reviews are worthless.
Gravitron 2 is one of the 100 best video games ever made. It delightfully merges gameplay elements from Gravitar, Tempest and Choplifter! in one amazing package. I’m seeing people complain about the controls - these people are lazy and probably trying to use a mouse. It’s got Asteroids-style controls, buttons for everything. So now it’s Gravitar, Tempest, Choplifter! and Asteroids.
There’s more levels than anyone will probably ever play. It looks gorgeous. It has a wonderful learning curve, things blow up nicely when they blow up and it is THE best retro arcade-style game on Steam. There are some levels where you need to think a bit and some where you can just go hogwild. It also has shields and the ability to get more fuel from the environment, so now it’s Gravitar, Tempest, Choplifter!, Asteroids, Asteroids Deluxe and Scramble. I’ll tell you exactly what it is: a goddamn masterpiece.
