Red Falcon

Red Falcon

History

You are the Red Falcon, Earth’s last hope. Your mission is to save the planet from a sectarian heresy that is invading Earth in a huge armada. Who they are and why they arrived is unknown, but one thing is certain: these sectarians are the most dangerous beings in the galaxy. By controlling a unique Soviet development, the flying Volga class “Earth-Cosmos”, you will have to hold out on the battlefield as long as you can.

And remember: in your hands the future that never was.

Features

You have technology at your disposal: the Orbital Research Institute “Lenin-407”, which allows you to study enemy weapons and then use them, and the Orbital Laser Launcher “ZHEK-1505”, which shoots a huge laser that pierces through all enemies.

Collect debris from enemy ships that serves as fuel for the laser machine, research material for the Research Institute, and building material for the majestic paneled house you’ll erect.

Use all these technologies wisely to destroy as many sectarian rats as possible.

That’s not all!

  • An interesting and entertaining synergy of two classic genres: Invaders and Tetris

  • 7 different types of enemies with their own behavior and weapons

  • Soviet style that borders on absurdity

  • Dump enemy debris into the orbiting ORI “Lenin-407” to fire enemy weapons

  • Infinite arcade – last as long as possible in the game

  • Leaderboard showing the best players in the world

  • Simple and intuitive controls

It’s honestly impressive how such a (forgive this) boring concept can be so enamoring, i spent 35 minutes on a single level and it did NOT feel that long. Worth it, but wish it was possible to change the display colors as the very plain colors get somewhat painful after a while. Even just a slider would be nice but god that orange gets painful after around 15 minutes.

it’s a really fun game, nice community, can be played in a casual way or in a more competitive way with minimum moves and speedrun leaderboards, overall really fun!

I really like this game, I have been there through the whole development journey and I’m so glad to see the results. The gameplay is so simplistic and that’s what I really like about it. It’s just a box in a room. That’s the whole gameplay premise, but sometimes it goes as far to put you in a box inside another box inside a box inside yet another box which is absolutely mindblowing. From what I’ve played of the first day of release, there isn’t anything I dislike about the game, just some bugs which are hopefully going to be fixed soon. Something I would really like is a level editor, being able to make your own Girabox levels and share them with the world sounds really fun. I really enjoy puzzle games and also speedrunning so if you like either of those things, this is the perfect game for you. With interesting mechanics and plot twists inside the levels, there will be a lot of fun held inside this game for people who are dedicated enough to get the special S-Ranks. Overall, this game is amazing for casual players and speedrunners alike. I would recommend you try this game, it doesn’t cost that much, it’s on sale for the first week of release, so why not give it a go?

A great upgrade to an already charming little game, and doesn’t cost a cent!

I still found a few glitches, but they’re easy to overlook thanks to the addition of medals and all the new content they unlock. This is a simple but addictive game that wonderfully captures the feeling of playing on an old school 8-bit computer. All accompanied by some 80s funk chiptunes.

But you may want to throw on some Initial D for the full experience.

Ultimo boiled this little chicken down to a fine broth. It’s challenging as hell with really unique gameplay. Lots of fun things to find and explore, hidden secrets and little jokes in the gameplay and artwork. It’s free, so stop reading the reviews and start playing the game!

Kukoro: Stream chat games

Been enjoying the game so far. Players beware this is an early access game. So there’s still much room for improvement.

I’d love to see it grow from here as there’s much fun to be had in stream chat games.

So far, some games are much more enjoyable and intuitive than others.

The sniper game seems way too hard for the streamer to win. The ways to scan players are not very clear to me.

Perfect Warrior seems a bit pointless as an endless game. Could use a few extra features to make it more enjoyable (powers, random items,…)

Most of my time is just idling in training, but it’s fun when you can actually get someone to play it with. Most game modes are fun and they definitely need to add more RP ones, they’re the most entertaining.

My biggest issue is that the character art doesn’t really match the backgrounds and I don’t really like it in general. However, they do it really well and there are a ton of fun skins to use.

I think they really need to make the game client more useful for non-streamers and add some more interactivity with it instead of just something that runs in the background while you watch the stream. Having to use a game key to view statuses (werewolf, etc.) is pretty annoying. Also it should be clarified more that you don’t login to the service to play with a streamer. It took me a while to figure out that’s the reason my skins/emotes weren’t updating on the stream.

I liked unlocking new operating systems, and overall, any game with a skin of Windows 95 on it, I like it.

That being said, I did notice some awkward wording that was carried over into the PC port.

“Select a right button to continue.” should read “Select the right button to continue.”

For Progress Defender with the Antivirus, it says “Database need to be updated.” Not only is this not a complete sentence, it has the plural form of need. You could put something along the lines of either, “The database needs to be updated” if you’re looking to complete the sentence, or “The malware database needs to be updated.”

It’s a nice, fun game if you like casual arcade-like action and nostalgia for graphical user interfaces. The goal is easy, but the game introduces enough obstacles and game modes to shake things up, allowing for a fun and challenging experience.

I will say, though, that it’s still transitioning from mobile to desktop. Some elements, such as the pinball, are still confined to a horizontal play area. Dragging the progress bar over a movable desktop item can immediately cause the cursor to drag the desktop item instead, even if the player doesn’t let go of the mouse. On a related note, the right mouse button doesn’t do anything in-game.
