Otti: house keeper

This is a funny game with puzzles (sometimes too hard to solve it from the first try). Some levels can be completed very quickly, but before passing some I had to think carefully. In some places, you need to act fast enough. Nice puzzle for a few nights, also can be a great family game.

10/10 screaming thieves :D

A very creative puzzle game. Defend treasures from thieves by strategically placing traps around the house and scare them away. Each thief has its own phobia but some thieves aren’t scared easily!

LOVE THIS GAME! If you haven’t played this game you are missing out, and for such a small price, it is worth every penny.

Not very often is a Wave-Only shooter scoring so high on the replayability meter, but this game is just so much FUN! The hordes of zombies still startle and scare me when I turn around and find one has gotten way to close to me… The satisfaction of killing these beasts with the weapons you have access to is addicting and fresh from the perspective of a die-hard Apocalypse style game lover who has been playing since the first Resident Evil.

I’m glad that companies, which create games, are focused on VR games, because as I think: the future belongs to VR games, certainly. First VR games were really bad, not optimized, bad control, graphic, realization, but now… I see a rapid development of VR games - they became much better and THEY REALLY NO WORSE than usual games - 2D, 3D etc. My words are confirmed by a new game - VAR: Exterminate.

As I have already mentioned, graphic in this game is so brilliant, that I got real enjoyment of all textures, locations and detalizations for the whole period of gaming and my eyes didn’t get tired of looking around for such a long time. Thanks, VAR! That’s one VR I was looking for ages))))

Defentron

Defentron

Defentron is a pretty relaxing game, despite being a tower defense. The retro look and sound are well done and suitably nostalgic, without needing to rely on gratuitous particle effects, waves, or flashes like some other retro games or genres like to use. The different types of towers all have fun and unique properties, and the enemy variety and additions from stage to stage kept me thinking a good amount, rather than finding one strategy I liked and just using that on everything.

Being able to power up a given turret in a pinch was cool too, but if I have one criticism about that mechanic’s game balance, it’s that it feels necessary to use that function on the basic turrets (at least for the early game), which destroys them afterwards, and it felt like a bit of a waste. That is, instead of trying to plan out placement or turret types to counter different contingencies, I felt like I had to budget my resources to account for “necessary losses” rather than just “acceptable losses,” which made it feel less like a puzzle game at those parts, and more like the traditional gratuitous enemy spam TD games that I don’t like nearly as much as this one.

Defentron is a fun tower defense, and certainly a challenging one. Many levels can really get you stuck until you figure out the right sequence of towers and upgrades to buy, but that difficulty gives the game a lot more longevity and replayability, specially if you are going to try and complete all achievments.

It took me 14 hours to complete everything the game had to offer, which I feel is a good value for the pricetag

Referee Simulator

Referee Simulator

Most people think that the work of a soccer referee on the field is an easy task. In our new production, you can see how it really is.

Because it is up to the referee how the whole spectacle will look like.

It is the referee who decides how much players can push themselves giving them warnings or cards, or even turning a blind eye to minor infractions. On this depends the charisma of the referee and the respect with which the players treat him.

And the more mistakes they make, the more time they spend when watching VAR replays or consulting the other referees, the less respect the players have for him and the more they allow themselves.

A good referee must also strategically spread his strength over the whole game to avoid a situation where the action is happening beyond his reach. You can take a moment to relax with constant parts of the game or browsing the VAR, but this will not help to regenerate strength.

Obvious errors in the assessment of the situation, apart from the fact that after each match, the referee’s work is assessed by the referee commission, cause brawls on the pitch and very stressful disapproval of the audience. And in stress, it is easier to make further mistakes.

Start with league matches to referee increasingly serious matches, and finally be the main referee at the World Cup!

  • Features:

  • interacting with all aspects of the match

  • simulates the referee’s fatigue, charisma and stress

  • advanced player AI

  • action replays with smooth slow motion

  • match statistics

  • a referee’s career

  • advanced AI of the audience behavior

Chains

Chains

Chains is a game about linking 3+ bubbles of the same colour. It features 20 puzzles, each different from one another. Rules, objectives, layout change from one puzzle to the next, sometimes even the gravity is modified.

Basically though there are two types: puzzles that make you think a little, and puzzles where you have to act fast. Unfortunately there is much more of the “act fast” ones. When I got this game I thought it will be relaxing & laid-back. It wasn’t most of the time. Chains require focus, reflex and speed, which makes it rather tense experience, stressful even. Hey, I’m old ^^

To start off, I bought this game for 50 cents with a 90 percent off coupon, from its original price of 4.99. That’s a pretty good deal in my opinon at least. I like to think of these types of games as Flash Games, or rather those you can play on the internet for free. Thus meaning I do think the price on this is a bit to high, and 99 cents instead would be quite a great deal.

Compared to a free web game, this game offers the same amount of gamplay, level systems and what not, you finish one you go the next, pretty simple. But that also means that is the only things it offers if you know what I mean.

Squares Rage

Squares Rage

Fairly short but good game, will probaly not take you more then an hour or 2 but is quite fun. Although the difficulty does not really mount as i found myself struggeling with some of the levels where you press a different key to get to the end but found the rest of the game easy in comparision. There are still some bugs though. I have noticed spike collision issues even after the latest patch and i have not received some achievements for finishing the game, nothing too big.

The levels at the end are clearly inspired by a certain other game ;). Overall nice game would recommend 7/10!

Bruh. This game is hard. I beat it on easy mode the difficulty from what I saw doesn’t change the difficulty of levels but you have a set amount of lives based on your difficulty. Easy mode for me please and thank you it’s a pretty sweet rhythm platforming type game though. my full play through of the game here: https://youtu.be/ZWi8hqWfFLI

The Frosted

The Frosted

The Frosted hand-drawn game based on the old-school mechanics & new school features about Ursula travelling around the magic world. Paper-like fairytale with a cute young girl whose character traits reveal during the game process create some intentionally shaped ambivalent effect.

The Features

Implementation of an ordinary story in old-school mechanics of Bomberman combined with new and variative elements such as an upgrade and inventory system; magic NPCs and secret rooms, mini games are wrapped into hand-drawn and animated graphics with the original sound.

The Game World Unsafe

Five unique biomes inhabited by numerous monsters and unpredictable bosses. Walk your way from the icy wastelands, through the magnificent mountain ridges and unsafe dungeons to the mysterious forbidden forest.

The Plot

The story unveils rights and wrongs of a person’s sacrifice in the name of the Greater Good. Player’s choices throughout the whole game may influence the ending: will Ursula lose the sense of reality or she will make a right choice? What is the right choice then?

The Art Style

The hand-drawn graphics and frame animations in the paper style are made by the designer of creative stands and 3D visualization.

Dodge If you Can!

Dodge If you Can!

The pros:

this game is definitely challenging, feels nice to pass through a few hard ones like level 17

pretty fun and engaging along with the music (would be better if the music was slightly quieter)

overall design of the game is nice

The cons:

would be better if there was a pause button or a save button but it’s alright since I get used to passing through the easy levels

that’s honestly it

if you guys enjoy a challenge this is definitely the one. it could be considered to be one of the hardest games I’ve played so far

Empire TV Tycoon

Empire TV Tycoon

I’ve been looking for a modern version of Mad TV for a long time, so I was quite excited when I stumbled upon Empire TV Tycoon on Steam. I had a lot of fun with it, but there were also some frustrating moments which I will explain in a moment.

How do the game mechanics compare to Mad TV?

The similarities are immediately apparent when looking at the interface. You are a tiny person using an elevator to navigate through a high building which houses your offices, film studios, a movie library, an advertising agency and so on. There are two AI opponents with their own channels.

Real player with 48.3 hrs in game

Empire TV Tycoon is an easy to learn fun simulation where you run a tv channel.

As you increase viewership and make those important decisions on what to play and what ads to show, you can climb the ranks from a simple local channel to the world of satellite broadcasting.

Part of the game is programming your day’s viewing - which sounds more tedious or daunting than it actually is.

You will recognise some movie titles, and the spoofs of well-known award shows and film festivals. This adds to the immersive side of Empire, and it can be quite fun (if not diabolical) to plan a day’s tv viewing based on your favourite films… or least favourites…
