Steel Rats™

Steel Rats™

A unique physics-based platformer with a stellar 40s setting and atmosphere, let down by its lackluster combat and flat storytelling. Recommended if you enjoy the game’s visual appeal as much as I did.

the levels in Steel Rats are simply fun to drive around in. The buzzsaws have a really visceral sound and feel as you tear through pipes and jump from wall to wall. The game’s setpieces and stages are pretty varied in the challenges they offer. The bikes could be considered ‘floaty’ at first, but start to feel natural within the first hour of play. the puzzle elements progress well, the difficulty curve is just about right (save for one section on the Rooftops level), and the majority of the platforming gets a pass.

Fun game…if you have some patience with some quirks and mainly- the controls.

The story is actually a lot darker than I was expecting. At first I thought this was a balls out arcade game- drive fast, do tricks, destroy stuff…But I quickly realized its a little slower paced than that. You need to get a glimpse of whats ahead or youll die. You need to take out enemies and do tricks to keep a combo meter up, so youll earn more points to unlock the upgrades in each level etc. The more points you earn, you’ll unlock perks and costumes which can be bought with junk collected from destroyed enemies. Achievements are well thought out and fun to get. Im pretty sure one of the voice actors is the general’s voice from the game Renegade Ops, (excellent game btw). So whats not to like?

ELEC

ELEC

A match-based, competitive, VR racing game heavily inspired by 80s futurism.

Inspired by the neon futurism of the 80s, make way for ELEC, a fast paced competitive VR game.

Start your journey into the world of the game and begin a match with computer players or real players in peer to peer style.

Take your cycle by the grips and delete your opponents as you race around the arena.

Be the last man standing, win for your team, or play in endless roam against bots and take your time to hone your skills.

Not enough?

Each round you can earn “quanta,” the games currency, to buy new cycle colors and helmets to kit out your rider and show off your winnings against the other players.

Are you ready to take the planes of ELEC?

I’d like to see you try.

In Other Words:

For a long time, we’ve had this idea about a game of this nature.

Something fast, but simple, that still required elements of strategy and skill.

While there’s plenty of games on the market that fit these requirements, none of them felt like what we wanted.

So, what do you do when you’re a couple of programmers, wishing there were a game that felt like an idea of yours?

You make one.

So we did.

Taking inspiration for the games in a certain movie from 1982 that shall not be named, the mechanics were there, all we had to do was implement them in a way better suited for modern gaming, specifically, for VR.

Work started on design and prototyping April 13th, 2021, and here we stand, proud of our work and ready to share.

But that’s not all, oh no. We have plenty of big ideas for the future of ELEC.

So stay tuned, and enjoy!

I would recommend this game to any mountain bikers out there. If you dont like mountain biking irl then I would NOT suggest this game because you probably wouldnt understand alot of the mechanics. NOTE: If you disagree with this review dont say its not helpful because thats not how that rating system works.

Pros:

Feel (once you get used to the controls its really flowy)

Challenge

Level design

Mechanics (although there not true to real life)

Animations

Tricks ( Feels fucking awsome to through huge wips and do nac nacs :D)

I deeply enjoy playing this game. I purchased both this version and the mobile version a long while ago, both of which I enjoyed playing through and would reccommend to anyone who enjoys biking or gaming. When playing with a controller the stick sensitivity was an issue for me, so a sensitivity bar in the options menu wouldn’t go amiss (unless i’ve missed one somewhere), also I really like the first person camera, and spent a good half an hour-45 minutes playing 1 level over and over just because I enjoyed it so much. In order to fully enjoy this I feel that this may require some patching and control changes, such as forward and backward on the sticks on a controller, instead of left and right. Other than these small issues (and a couple of bugs, which, lets be honest, are HILARIOUS), this game is awesome and I love it to bits. :)

Urban Trial Tricky™ Deluxe Edition

Urban Trial Tricky™ Deluxe Edition

Urban Trial Tricky

Urban Trial Tricky is a freshly ported banger straight outta Switch. First released in mid-2020, Urban Trial Tricky brought in a fantastic mixture of two fan-favorite series, Tony Hawk and Trial Xtreme, on a compacted scale and with so much more.

I’m not saying you will get something exactly from Tony Hawk and Trial Xtreme games because the game is super unique but for those who have been around the block with Tony Hawk and Trial Xtreme, brother you guys are going to feel the nostalgia kicking in, with a super unique flavor.

## Bike Baron 2

Bike Baron 2 is a brand new motorbike racer that has been in development for the last 18 months, and it has reached a state where we would like to invite you to try the game out before anyone else, and provide your thoughts on the gameplay.

We are only accepting a handful of people at first to be able to keep the conversations about the game direct and personal on the Steam forums. You should have a computer with an NVIDIA or AMD graphics card from the last 5 years, and run Windows 10\. We don't want to focus on compatibility issues very much just yet, so anyone with an integrated GPU, such as Intel HD, will have to wait until a little closer to release.

TL;DR An incredibly fun and addicting super speed reflex game.

Your job in this game is to go fast. Really fast. Faster than your brain can think, kinds of fast. You need to avoid obstacles at ridiculous speeds while trying your best to score some points for tricks along the way. This game is an arcade type game from the start, just get a better highscore. But the way it's done is incredible and it really makes want to keep playing in a sort of "Just One More Run" type of way.

The game starts off pretty easy but gets progressively harder as you improve. This keeps the game feeling fresh even after long play sessions because of how the game scales with you. Well most of the time that is. You'll start off at a low speed of 100 km/h and slowly make your way up, but if you ever die you can respawn at the last 100 that you got up until 700 km/h (For instance, you die at 450 km/h, the next you can start at 400 km/h rather than 100 km/h). This keeps the pacing of the game quite good, for you don't have to be perfect in every lower speed level just you have a chance at the next high speed. Most of the time.

Extremely entertaining obstacle-avoiding game with a great "just one more try" feeling.

Mechanics are really simple to understand: the bike move on its own and you can either dodge left/right or drift left/right in order to change directions. You can also jump in order to make stunts through direction inputs.

You start at a speed of 100km/h and it slowly increases. Using stunts, drifting and using speedboosts on the road can increase the speed even faster. After every 100km/h cap (i.e. 200, 300, 400…) the game saves your progress and once you die you can start at the last goal achieved. This is applied up to 700km/h.

## Urban Trial Freestyle

This is a really good little game, especially if you can get it in a sale, then money well spent.

Also everyone who reads this and i know what you are thinking, is it like trials hd on the x-box 360\. well no, no it isnt, the physics are not as sharp as trials but personally i found them better than trials hd to be honest, not to punishing,.

My advice would be to by this and trials hd, and use this to practice on and to have fun, because it is a very good fun game

But yes i would reccomend to a friend, and also the graphics, im using a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 GDDR5 1GB graphics card with 16GB RAM Intel Core I5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz Proccesor On a ASUS P8Z77-V LX MotherBoard, and i can say they ran very smoothly, they look quite very good/cool, plus going up against the leader board is proper addictive at times, the game also works on controllers too which for me was added bonus.

Ok lets get this out of the way first yes this game is a clone of "TRIALS EVOLUTION" but is that a bad thing-i think not.

The game plays very smoothly and the graphics and sound are both well suited to this type of game,i actually think i like this more than "TRIALS" (played on X BOX not on pc-so not sure how it plays on the pc to be honest).

The bike handles well and only becomes more tricky to handle when you upgrade it but this is a part of the game as some later levels get quite tricky to do unless the bike actually is upgraded.

## Hell Road VR

Hell road is the best action motorbike in vr i was hoping to see in vr

first the bike control and the gameplay could not be best

we are totally the impression to be on the motorbike

and in more we have few upgrade weapons for the motorbike we can find in the levels

( we have the impression to have the motorbike , like we see in the movie of james bond , or batman or others incredible movie with motorbike equiped of weapons )

and we can see a full body so the immersion is perfect

in more there is a great choice of weapons: one as melee weapon and all the others as distance like crossbow , different type of wonderfull fire weapons and too a grenade launcher ,

Pretty fun game. Locomotion took no more than 3-4 minutes to get used to and it feels pretty natural.

It doesn't look fantastic but it does the job. Looking forward to more content.

A few suggestions I have that I feel would improve the experience alot.

More umph in the weapon sounds(not necessarily make them alot louder, but just a punchier sound).

Weapon wheel, either the right analog stick or hold the weapon change button down and get a wheel/menu where you can point and select weapon, with a time slow while you have the wheel/menu up. I feel trying to swap through the weapons gets very clunky and clumsy.

## Neon Seoul: Outrun

One hell of a game. I put a box fan in front of me and experienced future synthwave moto racing bliss. With a few more tracks and a mode where you have opponents keeping pace with you and this game could vault to top 5 of all time. Would love to be able to add a local sound track while keeping in game sounds. The existing sound track is good though. What a rush. So much potential I sure hope the word spreads and this game blows up big time. If you liked Tron or Blade Runner, you're going to flip out over the incredible environment they created. Playing Redout I got nauseous pretty quick but I was able to play Neon Seoul continuously without feeling queazy at all. Very impressed.

This is one of my favourite VR games. You control the bike only with your headset motions, and it makes it really fun to play. The game look and music is superb.

It's a bit hard to play, so requires better introduction to newcomers. But once you understand the mechanics, the gameplay becomes really addicting and fun.

There is not that much content, but the developer promised to add more cool features in future. I recommend it!
