Crazy Taxi

“Like Skyrim with taxis” 10/10 -IGN.

“Is that GTA V ?” 11/10 -Random kid walking into my room.

So, let’s begin to be serious. This game is criticized by a lots of players because this is the XBox Live Arcade Version. It can be considered as Crazy Taxi 1.1. The differences that players seems to disapprove is the soundtrack that is a complete new one and the fact that the Kentuchy Fried Chicken and Pizza Hut trademarks were switched to Fried Chicken Shack and Pizza Parlor.

So, here start the personal opinion, I really enjoyed that game. You’re constantly having fun without raging every five seconds. The new songs list is good, the controls still really good (a way to show your arcade skills) and the new patch Sega released for all Sega Dreamcast Collection games gives you the possibility to use your own buttons and add a FXAA to your graphism. The new achievements are very easy, you can do them in a single evening if you understand the engine (If you don’t you can decrease the time difficulty.) Plus, the four characters are still really cool. My personal best is Gus (ಠ‿ಠ).

Originally I thought this port was absolute crap since a lot of the soul was stripped away, namely the original soundtrack and licensed locations. But this is a PC port, and modding exists. So if you know how to download a mod pack , and you’re proficient in dragging and dropping files in the right place (scary!), then you’re literally a few MB away from playing the game as God intended.

As for the game itself, this game is absolutely wild. The premise is simple: pick up passengers, drop em off as fast as you can. Easy, right? Well unless you git gud , you’re gonna find it difficult to rack up a nice juicy score at the end, which is where the skill portion of this game comes into play. Give yourself enough time and you’ll be setting some amazing scores with what you learn (although watching unskilled players will look like its being played in slow motion). And hey, while you’re learning how to consistently do limiter cuts, you’ll be listening to some hard-hitting punk rock (The Offspring & Bad Religion) that makes this game stand out from other arcade games of the same era.

FAST BEAT LOOP RACER GT | 環狀賽車GT

Fast Beat Loop Racer GT is a game similar to the Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune game series. You pick your car and then race on the highway - a simple yet exciting concept.

Except, last time I saw this game was at a local arcade, and that was a few years ago.

This time, we’ve got a nice PC port, which is what I’ve been waiting for since there’s not many arcade games getting ported to PC.

First of all, this game is slightly different from WMMT. Cars feel more grippy, and you have to initiate drifts instead of sliding because the control is slippery (the cars still do that, but in a more realistic way). Fast Beat Loop Racer GT also implements the drafting system, unlike WMMT.

Got this on sale, and for the money, this is really the best Asian Arcade style racer on Steam. Works great with a steering wheel and pedals. The arcade feel is really captured well, as it is a direct port of the arcade game. Some people say this feels more like real street racing than Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune or Initial D.

I wouldn’t know. I’m here to play video games, not pretend that I have a different hobby.

The music is not nearly as good as those other two games, and I highly recommend putting a playlist of other stuff on in the background to drown out the generic rock/dance. Put on some tunes from one of the Wangan Midnight Maximum Tunes, and I don’t really think you could tell the difference unless you were a fan of the manga.

Overall the concept was pretty cool! But the handling on the car was kinda difficult to get used to. As well as it being a relatively short game, could complete in under half an hour or so. Also the music was extremely loud and unbearable!!

Truck Racer

Truck Racer

This game is like if you took the first FlatOut by Bugbear, removed the driver ragdolls, and replaced the regular street cars with diesel-powered semi-tractors. But I have to say, Truck Racer is a surprisingly fun and surprisingly fast arcade racing game.

While there are only six trucks available to drive, there are numerous ways to modify and tune them. One thing that I honestly didn’t see explained well enough and never really felt the influence of(maybe I just wasn’t paying attention) is having to select suspension components to attune your truck to race on different surfaces; but then again, there are only two surface types represented - Asphalt and Dirt - and trucks seem to drive about the same on either. But maybe I’ve just been too methodical in upgrading my trucks and need to deliberately tune my truck wrong to see the difference.

This game provides a, while far from realistic, incredibly fun kind of driving and vehicle handling. While simple in terms of variety and content, races are always exciting, whether you’re bashing up with the solid AI trucks, or carefully drifting turns in the lead. Vehicle customization adds a nice amount of depth, finding the right combination of parts to get your own personal perfect setup. I still can’t help but feel that this game was perhaps lacking some sort of ‘feature’ Almost like how you’d feel playing a combat racing game without weapons, sort of. If you don’t have the patience and time is not worth killing for you, the single player campaign can feel somewhat lengthy, but, again, the driving itself always feels solid. Would recommend to anyone who just wants to relax with the kind of game that they can play while thinking about things, chill out, not much frustration, and just keep on truckin'. chicks n' big trucks is bad ass,

Car Drive

Car Drive

Ever since the age of 13, I have had a passion for cars that nothing could keep me from. I would watch my dad work on his old ‘61 corvette in the garage, sitting next to him, silently, shining the flashlight where he wanted it, handing him socket wrenches & screwdrivers until whatever problem the car had was fixed. I loved doing this, & my dad was probably the biggest part in my developing passion for cars.

At the age of 16, when I got my drivers license, me & my dad spent hours looking for the perfect project car for us, that I could drive to school & work on in my spare time. After months of looking, we found the perfect car for me: An ‘83 fox body Mustang GT 5.0. It had been wrecked, we got it from a private seller & I spent all of the money I had been saving for years on it. Me & my dad had it towed home, & got it running later that afternoon without much trouble.

So you’ve read the description and now you’re down here in the comments trying to figure out what’s it all about. Click the video above to see some of the gameplay, mechanic and hear my thoughts on the game.

Car Drive is a simplistic game. There’s no abundance of mechanics, gimmicks or systems that you need to master to be good at the game. You simple drive and adjust your pitch when needed to avoid flopping over like a turtle on their back. The graphics are minimalist, the music is banging and controls are spot on. I highly recommend Car Drive based on the price and the amount enjoyment I got out of it. Try it for yourself, see how far the drive can take you.

Criminal Pursuit Force

Criminal Pursuit Force

I originally went into this game thinking “Oh, it’s just a bit of fun. Nothing too serious, I’ll review it as such.”

However, I reported the games main flaw being that criminals always end up getting stuck in the same place under the bridge. I did this so the developer had time to fix the bug before I reviewed it. I’ve since went back and played only to find the bug still hasn’t been fixed after he assured me it had been.

This game doesn’t have a lot going for it, it’s a basic loop of crashing your car into a criminals car in order to apprehend them. Then the level restarts and you do it over and over again. Don’t worry though, they’ll always be under the bridge at the local criminal stop point. There’s nothing else to it, that’s it.

I like trash games very much and i had a blast with this game. So, i recommend this game to all trash fans. But for the others, i say just no, this is a really bad game. In Criminal Pursuit Force you are a female cop (only visible in the missions screens as a picture) hunting bad guys. The goal of every level is to catch an enemy car with your police vehicle. I like that kind of game and that is why i bought it. But there are so many things that are just awful. The graphics are outdated and there is just one small map (for all missions). There are not many sound effects in the game, just a police-radio, which tells you the same thing over and over, and a police siren. No engine sounds or other effects (maybe that is just a bug). The music is ok, but there are not many tracks. The worst part of the game are the ai-drivers, the normal ones and the enemy. I never saw such stupid drivers in a game, they even can not stay on the road. You have to see that for yourself to believe it (watch may video under the text). And on top of that all, the game is not finishable because in one mission, the enemy car is not findable. So my final verdict for the game, buy it if you want to laugh about the most stupid drivers in gaming history, otherwise avoid it.

It’s a good game when you’re bored however it’s kinda buggy and the road doesn’t appear until you’re near it.

Crossy Bridge is a Unity Asset flip, what Valve calls a “fake game”. The “developer”, INFINITE BRIDGE, took the Crossy Bridge Game Template Unity Store tutorial/demo/game asset pack from the real developers, SgLib Games, changed the name, and dumped the result onto Steam. They’re attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else’s work.
