Abduction Bit
I like this game because it has a very simple 80s platform style. It reminded me of an 80s platformer called Hunky Egg (which apparently was a rip off of Chunky Egg). It’s basic gaming before games were simulations. It’s certainly not near the best of it’s genre. But it’s fun and annoying with it’s demands for precision in your jumps. Well gamers under 35 want to play such a game? I’m not sure. Actually I’m not sure how many over 35 would want to play such a game
One reviewer said it’s buggy. It’s more a case of every jump has to be perfect down to the milimetre while timing baddies perfectly, which is very frustrating. You die very easily in this game. I had to forget playing the game at any type of pace because of this if I wanted to progress. Like 80s games once you’re out of lives you start again at the very beggining. Which is also annoying. Because I probably will never finish it.

This is great little gem for fans of the golden age of arcade games. Particularly those early Nintendo releases(Donkey Kong, Popeye, Mario Bros.), as this is heavily modeled after those games. You can expect simple gameplay, high difficulty, and a surprisingly large amount of replayability. There are two packs(8-bit and 16-bit) with 20 levels each, which can be played on one of 3 difficulties. I’ve finished both packs on each difficulty, which took me about a month to get all the achievements(granted, I was juggling 3 other games at the same time). It’ll keep you busy for longer than you would expect.

The Short of it: A fun mix of many nostalgic games from decades past, infused with some modern ingenuity. AGHR does arcade / replay value correctly, and is worthwhile / fun for the price - it put a smile on my face =)
Reminds me of: If you liked Strikey Sisters , you’ll probably like Aliens Go Home Run.

I have mixed feelings about this game for a couple of reasons, one is that the balance and difficulty curve in this game is often pretty bad and, after taking a break from video games for a couple of weeks, the game has seemingly deleted my save data (I was at the final boss too). I do however definitely recommend this game and here’s why.
First of all, the game practically oozes charm. If you’re into games that are built upon a wacky or crazy idea, or even into games with a good sense of humor, then this is definitely the game for you. Who knew that bloodthirsty aliens could be fought off with baseball ey? The charm even seeps into the gameplay too. At the base of the game we have Breakout but with a completely different rule set. It actually makes Breakout engaging and fun to play, and honestly the worlds/levels that are good are REALLY GOOD. I had a blast playing the levels I actually enjoyed. And holy hell the music in this game is so damn good. I really wish there were more tracks. This is probably more of a backhanded compliment but the music is SO good that I feel like it’s wasted somewhat. Most of the bosses share the same theme and I think it would’ve been cool to have separate boss themes. But that’s just me. The art style and character designs are super cool too.

The game has lovely neat graphics and nice sound but… everything else is a bit bland and boring.
Powerups are very limited and not scale with stage.
Boss and mid-boss are die-and-try until you know the pattern until you relise you need to restart the game from scrath every time.
The main problem is that powerups are given randomly so is actually possible to have one or two stages without a single powerup.
beating a boss without any powerup is just plain tedious.
Even if you learn the patterns by heart the puny base laser is just a torture to bring down bosses.

Billion Beat
I love this game, the world is always in need of more Punch-Out-likes and this scratches every itch it has, and the music is insanely good.
Only thing that could drive people away is how gross the characters look but they grow on you after a while.
The combat is a lot more ‘groovy’ than Punch-Out, more rhythmesque, if you will. Feels more like dancing than it does straight up beating the shit out of someone.

Billion Beat is great. The visuals and music are on point. The gameplay follows the Punch-Out formula perfectly: time your punches and dodge or counter theirs. If you make a mistake, your character will take a bit to recover and that is more than enough time for your opponent to mess you up, so learn from coach Baby T and DON’T JUST MASH THE BUTTONS!
There’s also a bunch of stuff to keep things fresh like “hype moves”, items and even progression. Successfully landing a regular punch rewards you with a bit of energy and you need that energy to dish out the heavy punishment, so you quickly start to get into this flow of dodging and countering to build up your energy until you can finally let your hands fly.

Colossus Mission - adventure in space, arcade game
I think the people most likely to enjoy this are fans of cave flyers, so I give it a recommended rating since that appears to be the game’s target audience. Meaning if you look at this list and think to yourself “yeah my kind of games,” then Colossus Mission will be for you. Everyone else will probably want to hold off on it, or at least wait to see if it gets any substantial updates.
In about an hour of play, I completed 55 of 73 levels. I expect it would take me another hour to beat the rest of them; the later levels were really becoming a steep challenge for me. The scoring system allows you to spend your earned points to skip stages if you find them too difficult. Each skip costs 5 points, and you can earn up to 3 points per stage depending on how well you perform while completing them

COLOSSUS MISSION is an arcade game with raw and slightly angular graphics and a various levels of difficulty. The first stages are easy but then the game becomes much more difficult. I recommend it to players who are interested in flawless playing games on time.

This game offers a choice to play with mouse & keyboard, mouse alone, or a controller. Just make sure you select which option you want to use in the game options before starting a game. While I’d like to see the options off sliders for the sound effects and music, an off or on switch for these is all that’s currently available. There are also no resolution settings, but there is a full screen or window option which helps.

It start good.
Nice graphics but feel completely unbalanced to a point that is not playable or enjoyable for me.
The number of bullets of screen is huge with intricate patterns to evade.
Enemies can take a lot of damage before exploding or, some of them, are shielded and cannot be damaged until they decide to do so.
