For English speakers:

I didn’t finished it so far so this review is based on my experiece of part of the game. I won’t judge the story at this stage.

Pros:

1. The localization is really well done. It even gives u a false feeling that this game was developed by English speakers.

2. Unique and amazing style to present the dialoge. It’s like reading a fasnating interactive Comic Book.

Dead Man’s Rest

A very good game, even in early access (it’s almost complete at this point, anyway).

I follow Argent Games ever since Requiescence, even if I tend to purchase their titles elsewhere due to Steam censorship, which isn’t relevant here since the game is not explicit in content.

It has to be my favorite of their games, alongside Requiescence itself.

The storylines are interesting, and with a very short common route (that has more than one path to access the various routes), it makes replaying each route a whole new experience, especially since what is true in one route won’t be in another, aside from core traits and background elements about the characters.

Dead Man’s Rest

Developer: Gallium Games

Publisher: Argent Games

Pros:

1. The Wild West, a place where a balance of lawlessness and peacekeeping is a mainstay. Gunslinging, alcoholism, and tensions between Americans and Natives run in the back. What happens if we add in a little love to that? A more taboo love such as homosexuality in a time where heterosexuality was the overwhelming factor? You get Dead Man’s Rest, a finely packed visual novel with short routes varying from 5 love interests, each being variably different from each other but keep the characters consistency almost each time. It does a great deal in being faithful to old western culture that involves your standard by the book sheriff, trifles with Native Americans, and some small scenes of gunfighting, however it does an excellent job at adding in the romance aspect. It feels down to earth and realistic, with morals that reflected the time back then whether it be about sexuality or your culture, and how people react.

I’ve loved this game for many years now and have logged near countless hours but I feel this negitive review is nesscary.

The developers have been contated about known exploits and hacking and have blatenly refused to do anything about it.

As not only a server owner but an avid fan of the game this upsets me to no end.

Not only do I not reccomend purchasing this game I recomend staying far away from all FatShark games. Why waste your time falling in love with a game that will only be tossed to the wayside.

As of patch version 2.0 that came out several months ago, this game is completely broken and dead. Every dedicated server you try to connect to gives you the “FAILED TO CONNECT TO SERVER” message (you can start a local server, but it’ll be insanely laggy) and the developers won’t even acknowledge the existance of this game now that their new game (WOTR) is out. Even though I had hundreds of hours of fun in this game when it worked, it does not excuse the developers from breaking their game and jumping on their next cash cow without so much as even an attempt to fix this.

Good art- bad story. Meaningful choices are actually just guesses that zap you dead if you guess wrong. It reminds me of a comic book someone could write about an immature 13 year old trash talking super villain. I had to force myself to finish it as it would not be fair to review it if I had not finished it. It was a struggle. The writer created an interesting world but the story leaves alot to be desired. Example: Main character is in a tough situation so we give him a new power or say he wasn’t really trying hard until now–ect. Save your money!!!

West Sweety

West Sweety

After about 3 and some more hours of playing I have a lot of good emotions about West Sweety and I want to share them.

What I like in this game:

  • first and main plus - style with which everything is done, it’s really beautiful and nice looking ;

  • 7 girls in west style with different “professional skills”;

  • low system requirements - that’s good in our time of bad optimization (when you need professional workstation to play simple roguelike game);

  • low price in my region - it’s about 1,7$ for such a good game;

UPDATE-09/2021: Highly Recommended. I have been unfair to this title in previous review. It came out during the early days of the “Hentai Gold Rush” on Steam, when adult games went from nothing to 1000s of titles almost overnight. At the time it seemed unremarkable, but with time it has risen above the masses.

I misjudged the game as absurdly simple, and it is. One character’s game is literally just coin flips. But it is dirt simple gambling games in a saloon setting, at least that is a theme and the gameplay is functional. On Steam, if you nail those two marks in this genre you’re already a C+. What I missed was that it actually took work to make the games that smoothly simple. Whether card game, dice, coins, or other “bar challenge” game the mechanics follow a rock-paper-scissors or odds/evens model. There is no strategy other than playing the odds of a 50-50% or One-In-Three chance. Simple.

Gold Rush! Classic

Gold Rush! Classic

Classic Sierra Adventure Games;

So, that intro from the beginning makes me sigh from the inside. These games (for me) are memories of growing up and sitting on my father’s knee and learning about computers…(the next step involved constructing my own PC from scratch, but that’s a different story for a different time)

Sierra INVENTED the adventure genre as far as I’m concerned, and “Gold Rush” is not only an excellent example of a classic adventure game, it is also the benchmark for self-involved concepts as well as being true to life history.

This game can be super annoying if you don’t know what to expect. Part of it is the primitive mechanics. It’s not like today’s point and click game where you click on a location and the character will move there. You have to use your arrow keys to direct every step of the movement. You also have to instruct the character what to do. Encountering another character will not automatically trigger conversation. You have to tell your character to ‘talk’ by typing this in. If you don’t type in the correct series of words, this will also halt your progress. And last but not least, there is potential to fall into a big hole in this game. Let’s say you did not pick up a certain something on level one, well if you don’t have it at level 10, you can forget finishing this game …  Still, there is a lot of charm to this game with its graphics and story plot. I recommend it on sale. I would also like to play the updated anniversary edition.

I didn’t know what to expect when I came into the game, but I was expecting more than what I got. Trying to be as spoiler free as I can, this game plays more like an epilogue to the original story rather than a full on game itself and leaves a lot to be desired. On my first try, no help whatsoever, I played the game for 3 hours and finished it with a full score.

Unlike the original where you have the option to try three routes to get to your destination, this one has a single route to take and up until then, you really don’t have a lot of “hidden” points or tasks to complete. It’s possible that there’s a side quest that’s optional to complete, but since I haven’t experimented I don’t know if it can be skipped or not. If it can be skipped, it plays more like it’s just for the good feeling of the player and not really for the benefit of the story. I had found a single object that I never found a use for so I believe that it’s optional but it’s not valuable nor does it do anything for the story so it doesn’t have any reason to be there. This is NOT to say that there are NO optional points in the game, I found a few that were undoubtedly optional to the story.

I guess i’ll review this since the achievements i haven’t get are those which are almost impossible to get.

My playtime: 113.8h (based on steam, 100% achievements. you should get it faster if you follow the script in my guide though.)

Grindy Achievement: Yes (8 achievements).

Optional Achievement: Yes (169 achievements).

Difficult Achievement: Yes (3 achievements).

Developer Response: No (last response is in 24 Mar, 2017).

Intro

Clickdraw Clicker is a RNG game where you have to kill your enemy by guessing which slot the enemy hides in while avoiding the slot that the enemy is likely to shoot. If, by any chance, you think that this is a clicker game like me, then you’re mistaken. It’s not that clicker game where you upgrade stuffs and reset them at some point.

Little clicker game, where the player takes on several western shootout duels against different opponents.

It comes down to a lot of clicking and mouse travelling. Very tedious and time consuming to get all 216 achievements for a perfect game. Luckily there is a script made by Deathifier!, that plays for you.
