Robo Puzzle Smash

Robo Puzzle Smash

Had this game for two years, but came back to it recently to remote play with a buddy that loves puzzle fighters like i do. It’s a fun game with an interesting balance system. combos are kinda broken, but it’s not exactly easy to set off a combo. it’s got a nice visual design, nice sound design, and the story is funny too. I’d say if you’re into puzzle fighting games, then this is a good choice.

This game has two great strengths about it.

1. The unique mechanics it brings to the Puzzle Fighter format make it a unique and enjoyable experience and really make you plan out your strategies.

2. The devs are on top of bug fixes, going so far as to fix a broken achievement the day before leaving for Too Many Games.

I do, however, have a minor complaint about its wild system. Teching deals damage (if minor), so if the AI ever gets a wild breaker, it ruins attempts at getting the Perfect achievement, and (as of writing this review) it’s possible for you and the AI to get into an infinite loop of using supers (replaces your current piece with a wild breaker) to the point where a double KO is possible, and a double KO softlocks the game.

Miasma Caves

Miasma Caves

The gameplay of Miasma Caves is very simple: Explore a cave, find treasure, escape alive to sell said treasure in town, repeat.

The Cons:

  • No Automap (for an exploration game this is a huge drawback)

  • Intermediate cave levels are a bottleneck in difficulty (rocks fall, everybody dies faints)

  • Not much of a story

  • A few minor bugs

The Pros:

  • Over 150 different treasure items of 4 different categories

  • Town can be developed

  • A lot of variety in available tools, which allows for different approaches of exploration.

I have played enough Miasma Caves to recommend it. You play a dragon-lady who spelunks a procedurally-generated cave in search of treasure and you’re a pacifist, so that means that you don’t attack any of the monsters inside. But you still can get hurt (such as from cave-ins, and falls, and the titular miasma), and there’s still a challenge in seeing how far you can go whilst getting out alive! It’s a fun game and I recommend it to anyone, especially those who loved Leila “Woofle” Wilson’s soundtrack in Freedom Planet; some of the greatness in that soundtrack is carried over in this game.

Chibi Horror: The School

Chibi Horror: The School

I really enjoyed this game as something different. You roam the halls of the haunted school, hoping not to run into the one active chaser as you collect eight books. Books appear in random locations each time, and you never know where the chaser is.

There are some jump scares, though they didn’t always appear in the same place or happen each time. Overall it’s pretty fun and you have infinite run and battery life. The only problem I had is that the chaser can spawn right in front of you even if you just left her a floor away, so there is an element of luck as well.

It’s like, Minecraft slender man but with your pixelated wives. You never know what they are going to do. They will stalk you and try to get your attention. If you are really lucky, you will never see any of them due to the way they randomly roams around. I am deathly scared of little girls stalking me so… it’s perfect for me. https://youtu.be/iYnCeasOte4

Islet Online

Islet Online

Still playing yes, Game, itself is fascinating where you can hunt animals, for food an raw materials, you can even flood the world at one point, PVP is option too. I haven’t tried it yet. I did have events like bunnies bunnies everywhere…not bunny to drop. If you get that.(died by kamikaze bunny) believe for one exception you could build towering mazes and mazes,

I did see castles and cathereadals somewhere people are building amazing structures.

This review is for the current version of the game(2/7/16)

What is Islet Online? Islet Online is a creative open world sandbox, similar to Minecraft. This game features an experience system that allows you to level up in pretty much everything like jumping, crafting, fighting and much more. These can directly effect your play experience, for example, you may be able to eventually jump up to 4 times in the air. It actually reminds me of McMMO from the old Minecraft Bukkit days….

DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS™ 2

DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS™ 2

Dragon Quest Builders 2 is a fantastic building game for a solo player. Most aspects of this game are done in the form of a checklist, from story mode to the individual Tablet Targets and the item checklist on individual Explorer Islands as you pursue an infinite supply of particular resources. This type of gameplay allows for a player to learn what the game is capable of without being forced along a linear line in this otherwise sandbox-y game.

Pros:

  • Quirky characters in a quirky world

  • Story gets more interesting and engaging the longer you go on with it

I just saw a “not recommended” review that i couldn’t comment on and was misleading thus the separated review here;

it was saying that this game has fake multiplayer, which is not true. He most likely misunderstood visiting someones island from the noticeboard with actually going online to connect with friends.

Multiplayer works like this;

You finish the first chapter with furrowfield and revisit your island (island of awakening).

there the hairy guy talks to you to introduce you to multiplayer with that ground portal.

Hi-Score Boi

It’s nice to look at…while you click the space bar (or have a script running to auto click the space bar), but zero depth. You seriously just click the space bar. I foolishly expected more with the fun graphics…that you soon realize never change.

There’s no fun to be had, or reason to ever come back to the game after the last achievement pops, and it very unfulfilling…but I got the achievements. I guess, if I want more, I can just play an actual “game.”

I absolutely love how fun this game is. From the sounds to the colors and the sheer competition of acquiring all 50 achievements. It is definitely worth the download!

The Legend of Bean

The Legend of Bean

The Legend of Bean is a rather good RPG/adventure game on the RPGMaker format.

Not quite innovative, especially the storyline, but with a fair gameplay. At no point I felt lost like not knowing where to head to.

I appreciate that after the main quest is completed you can still travel through the whole game world in order to defeat other bosses and eventually get a 100% achievements.

I don’t care if the grammar isn’t perfect, I’m not expecting the same language level as in a book. Dialogues are perfectly understandable and that’s enough for that kind of games.

Real player with 15.6 hrs in game

The Legend of Bean is a nice, short and funny little RPG-Maker game.

While the English tranlation is poor, it’s still understandable and quite funny. The game comes at a cheap price and is worth what it’s asking for.

You play with a group of three people, and the battle system is quite uniqe. It’s fast paced, so you can do the battles really quickly. It took me about 9 hours to finish the game. After clearing the main story, you can still keep on playing, fighting some newly spawned bosses, some of them a little challenging. The good thing is, you don’t need to grind a lot, there is a merchant that sells big bags of experience!

Crazy Archery

Crazy Archery

so easy .. i want more levels and dificulty

Real player with 6.0 hrs in game

Crazy Archery is actually one of the funnest games I’ve played so far in 2019 and that’s no joke. There’s just something extremely satisfying about accidentally pegging someone in the neck with an arrow while you’re under a time limit and trying to solve a puzzle. Or pulling back the bow for one more attempt only to find out you’re out of arrows and have to start all over (but you just figured the puzzle out).

Also, the game is really cheap for what you get in return. Frankly, I haven’t enjoyed a puzzle game this much in a very long time and I hope more people find this wonderful little game.

Skeletal Dance Party

Skeletal Dance Party

This masterpiece has the single-most terrifying spell in any game I have ever played.

You and your friends take up arms against the sudden, new menace that has already exterminated half of your village. A necromancer - a single necromancer - has seized the ample supply of your ancestors in the catacombs and raised an army of abominations. Your squad takes patrol in the hall of chieftans, where your chief, and his chief before him, and his chief before him, they all rest, having lived valiant lives. The rhythmic rattling of the wretched rawboned ruffians relates your irresistable restless repose. The undead army clatters around the corner and without hesitation or coordination, impales your only companion upon dozens of spears and swords, each stolen from what were once your countrymen.
