Anime Play Life: Unlimited

I won’t recommend this game at all, I do admit it has a lot of potential, but in the state its in right now I won’t recommend it. \

  • You don’t get a tutorial on the controls and how they work.

  • The clothing are clipping

  • VERY limited character costumization options.

  • Alot of weird advertising about a “Special version” download which is nowhere to be found at all.

  • No character facial expressions, such as smile, shock, suprised or happy.

I think there is a lot of potential for this game but how it stands right now, it is not very good. The character customization was bare bones and I had to back out of character customization and reenter just to get the menus to go away so i could hit continue. Once in the game, there was no prompt to let you know what button was used for interacting. I hit numerous buttons and clicked multiple times and still could not interact with anything. Until the game advances, worth the money.

Croppy Boy

It’s fun little game to mess around with.

The controls are a bit weird and will need awhile to get used to.

Controls :

included W A S D and Z (for tackle people, they’ll drop stuff on impact but.. it costs you stamina, will talk about this more later.)

  • A for dropping stuff you have (will drop crops first, then seeds)

  • S for tool actions (for watering crops, plow dirt, and seeding)

//it depends on your selected tool (choose with 1,2,3 or 4) also sickle is pretty much useless since you can cut glass without it.//

A cute, fun farming game with unique gameplay that makes it a great game to play in short bursts with a group of friends. If you are looking for a serious farming simulator or some ultra-complex strategic multiplayer game, this isn’t the game for you, but if you just want something that you can hop right on, spend less than 5 minutes learning the controls, and have fun – definitely check this out.

It’s also free-to-play without a cash shop for overpowered items or paywalls restricting what you can do. Definitely refreshing to see a game like that these days, given much worse games in the free-to-play category often try to shake you down for cash these days.

Ten Thousand Coins: The Golden Merchant

Ten Thousand Coins: The Golden Merchant

Ten Thousand Coins: The Golden Merchant is a story-driven merchant adventure about a bold merchant fox girl who gets into big debt trouble against the mighty Basilisk Company. She soon finds herself in the midst of chaos and must trade, earn coins, and make tough decisions in order to pay back a colossal 10,000 gold coins.

Moral Choices and Conflict - A heavy emphasis is put into the consequences of the actions you take, reintroducing a humanizing element into the trading game genre. For example, would you help a merchant back on their feet and make a new friend, but potentially lose out on a profitable deal, or ignore their cries for help to make sure you come out on top? Would you smuggle illicit goods for some easy coins, despite the negative effects it could have on a town’s inhabitants? As you make these choices, you are also pitted against time to save a loved one, creating a sense of urgency to amass as many coins as possible.

Bartering System - More than just buying and selling with currency, Ten Thousand Coins features a system where you can barter goods directly with other traders. Depending on the trader’s mood and what each trader needs, different items can have a higher value, therefore knowing what item to offer and when to offer them is the key to a successful trade.

Features Include:

  • An immersive and character-focused storyline.

  • Make tough choices between altruism and materialism.

  • Various colorful characters and side stories to discover and complete to further build the world’s narrative.

  • Many cities and towns to explore, trade, and build a reputation with.

  • A crisp hand-drawn anime-inspired art style.

  • Hundreds of unique items to use and trade.

  • Random encounters in the wilderness and challenging enemies to battle against.

  • Hire various convoys to aid you on your adventure.

  • Multiple story endings depending on choices made throughout the story.

  • Two different game modes: Story Mode and Challenge Mode.

The Emerald Tablet

The Emerald Tablet

If you’re looking for a alchemy game that brings the fun of trial and error from combining stuff, be aware that this game does NOT provide you the adequate tools to do so.

The gaming mechanism is made quite shabby and lack depth. Combination comes either with npc telling you the complete recipe or you get nothing. Several specific mats appear only once in the entire game, but you still need it repetitively for other recipes.

The foe becomes unreasonably strong in late game (from 3rd year) and balance become completely broken.

As a huge fan of the Atelier series, I really wanted to like this game, but it really needs a manual or in-game database. There doesn’t seem to be any way to discover recipes outside of trial-and-error in free mixing mode.

Toy Tinker Simulator

Toy Tinker Simulator

The game is simple, and calming. If you’re looking for a very deep simulation, this isn’t it. But the simplicity and charm won me over. It’s worth the small price tag and a good game to while away some time when you’re stressed out and just need something relatively mindless to zen out with. I very much recommend it and I’d say it’s a game that smaller kids could enjoy without much hassle. Also the dev support is pretty good too. When I first bought the game I encountered a bug but I was able to work with them and after a couple days of back and forth debugging and trying updates, we were able to get it up and running. All is well now and I’m very pleased with the support.

Disclaimer: A copy of this game was provided by the publisher.

Toy Tinker Simulator is a casual simulator where you repair toys, display them in a museum and even play with some of them.

This game being a simulator makes it easy to know if you are gonna like it or not straight away. It offers a calming experience where you can work on the toys while listening to relaxing music. The repairing process is simple and guides you for every step with decent visual cues, buy tools/equipment, zoom in, take out all parts, use tools to clean and color the parts, take a photo for the before and after comparison, get paid. All of the actions are mouse based where each tool has a specific repetitive pattern to fill up a short progress bar. This can make it straining on the hand for longer gaming sessions. The more complex toys don’t become harder, they only contain more parts that have to be run through more tools.

JUST A WARNING BEFOREHAND THAT THIS IS A LONG INDEPTH REVIEW ABOUT THE GAME SO IF YOU ARE LAZY TO READ IT JUST SKIP TO THE BOTTOM OF THE REVIEW.

Now before you skip this game over for some negative reviews talking about the difficulty of this game or it being set up for some overpriced expansions, just hear me out. This game has a lot of potential and while I agree it maybe kinda pricey compare to some of the older games with a very similar genre this game still have its own merit to make it stand out from the rest. Now let me list down some of the things that you should know before purchasing this game;

Update: now this is unacceptable! https://ibb.co/nfRF2TJ

I complained about Kalypso on forum of another game, and they censored me!

NEVER buy a game from Kalypso! Don’t support censorship! This is serious!

=====================

Many people say it’s broken or that it’s a recess simulation. The game is just hard to learn.

It is basically an RTS, but the strategy resides in the trade system. War does exist, but it happens only a few hours after the match starts, and it’s very expensive.

War requires little strategy and no tatics. You just send your army on the enemy and let them fight, while you go back to manage your empire’s trade economy. If you want a game aimed on war, just don’t buy this, it has less of that than Civilization.

I am in love with this game! The mix of 2d, 3d and pixel art is one of the most adorable visuals I have seen in a while :D

Then there´s the combination of time management with budgeting plus juggling different recipes in the menu and that adds to the difficulty that made me struggle for a bit before getting the hang of it (but I´m still almost always broke XD)! The price this game is set at I´d say is more than fair and my kudos to the people that put together this charming game :)

It’s a cute game and I’m having fun with it.

I think certain things could be made clearer to the user though. I failed my first run and almost wrote a negative review based on the experience. It was my fault but I feel like if I had better visual cues I wouldn’t have mad the mistake I did. I spent too much money. I didn’t realise I was buying from the more expensive market cause foolish me thought it would have it’s own tab or something. I was much more aware of the exclamation mark and red numbers second time around.

Magic Nations - Card Game

Magic Nations - Card Game

This game is not worth Your time. Some people already pointed some stuff out, but I would like to emphasize some more:

1. Updates

This company tends to overpromise and underdeliver. Despite that, there’s no roadmap published there are some ‘under construction’ functionalities within the game. For now, just 3 out of 6 races are available, story mode is ‘coming soon’ and ‘special cards’ are just a placeholder. Updates history on steam shows that company is more interested in monetization than deliver content as major changes made are related to buying packs for real money and marketplace. Little to none bugfixes or design improvements…

Beta needs alot of work. You get all the cards in the game to work with without having to work for them. That means everyone can just slim their decks down to 20, using only the best cards. Then comes into play, RNG. The top player has a rediculous amount of games played compared to everyone else. This leads me to believe he is part of the dev team. Ranking is based on “experience” (which you earn thru wins/losses). As long as you keep playing (you get matched against the AI randomly too, which you can farm higher exp), you can never lose your position. I got a full feel for the game in it’s entirety… in 1.7 hours.
