Snow Battle Princess SAYUKI | 雪ん娘大旋風

Snow Battle Princess SAYUKI | 雪ん娘大旋風

“Japanese fairytale style anime action game with cute snow girls”

Snow Battle Princess SAYUKI. A fairly interesting game was released. This is similar to a fast-paced classic arcade action game or retro style top down scrolling shooter game. Its 2D pixel dot artwork is delicate and music is exciting. There was no problem with the controls, and the gameplay is smooth.

The story seems to have been motif about Japanese fairy tale. Monsters, backgrounds and many other elements feature Japanese fairy-tale style. As you play as a cute goddess Sayuki, you have to seek medicine for your lover. There are at least 8 levels(areas) with giant bosses, and as you explore these places, you can get 10 snow fairies to help your adventure. When certain conditions are met, the special game mode is opened. And there is also a mode to collaborate with friends(+ new playerable character Koyuki). Overall, the game is okay and worth trying. Recommended!

Pretty fun little Shoot Em Up game. Both the sprite works with character designs and soundtracks are really good.

MIGHTY GUNVOLT BURST

MIGHTY GUNVOLT BURST

Short version: The game is great. The port is also great from my experience. Easily one of my fav megaman games, only beaten by megaman 9, 10 and 11.

Long version:

The gameplay:

The basic gameplay is your classic megaman adventure that IntiCreates has perfected with megaman 9 and 10 so long ago. Tight, super fast for speed runners and fair challenging design.

The characters:

Including the DLCs, we have a total of 9 different characters each with their own gimmick. They all feel different yet still manage to fit in the classic megaman formula.

Don’t be mislead by the low amount of reviews and sales, it is only the case due to the total absence of marketing for this port, which is a real shame. I only found out about this game months after its release when searching if Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 got a PC port: it still hasn’t, despite it being the case for the first one, Luminous Avenger and both MG games (if the publisher reads this, you could make and sell an Azure Striker/Gunvolt collection, that’d be a great opportunity to port ASG 2).

Superstar Dance Club

Superstar Dance Club

Superstar Dance Club is a rhythm game originally released as a budget title on PlayStation in the early ’00s. There’s quite a bit of interesting history surrounding it that Wikipedia won’t tell you, actually.

In Japan it was originally a Simple 1500 game known as “Love Para: Lovely Tokyo Para-Para Musume”, developed by Warashi and published by Media Rings in 2001, with XS games localising and releasing it in North America in 2002, and Europe in 2003. It’s existence is mainly to cash in on the Para-Para dancing fad in Japan at the time. A lot of that cultural significance was understandably lost in XS Games' localisation, which is what this Steam version is based on, but you can still see elements of early ’00s Japanese culture in the game’s visuals.

TLDR : Cheap Tuesdays, Bundle-Galore, Botline Miami wanna-be with cheap control scheme and user interface, and somewhat broken firing and stealth mechanics that cant hook you on despite its fast paced gameplay and somewhat decent sci fi premise.

Biodrone battle is a flash game / mobile game style top down shooter set in a generic sci fi theme. The game has a few ideas and gimmicks like a stealth button that makes your unit go black and in theory invisible and you can use alt fire to stun lock opponents then ram in them to capture them. You can them morph between one of three types of units that are featured in the game, the optional objective being to capture everyone rather than kill. However, mechanically, the game didnt feel like it was doing what it should, I could stealth and get shot at even if I stealthed before being in field of view of anyone, I could fight against a unit thats the same type as me, hit it multiple times, and still get one shot by them. Additionally, the restart and continue buttons would sometimes bug out and refuse to work, or the help menu would refuse to minimize, and other little control/UI annoyances that made that cheapened the general feel of it. The way the game handled FOV related to vision worked okay, and it seemed like there were about 30 levels to go through, and the game even affords you to skip levels by unlocking 7 whole levels as you unlock tutorial, but ultimately, the universe and setting was shallow, the assets were acceptable for the genre but unremarkable, and the setting was generic but acceptable. It is the mechanical flaws and overall lack of any sense of why you should bother with this that killed it for me within the first 10 minutes. I got this in a bundle so I will simply delete it from library and hide it from Steam. If someone mastered this and found it to be a hidden gem of some kind then refer to them and their review for an explanation but I am going to recommend my friends they stay away from this sorry devs.

Don’t be fooled by the simplistic visage of Biodrone Battle. Underneath its surface there are a gauntlet of challenging levels and smart enemies to test your skill.

PROS:

  • The “morphing” mechanic-adds another element to the twich shooting mechanics of the typical top-down shooter, and makes into more of a tactical affair. Tactical in the sense that you get 3 slots to fill with drones that have different strengths and weaknesses, which can be employed in different situations. It also presents more than one way to advance through levels, as you are limited by the amount of energy and must mix fighting and morphing to survive. Gameplay with each drone takes on a different tone, as the special powers of each as well as their speed, range, and attack power make

Fi da Puti Samurai

I can say that I’m immensely satisfied with my purchase already. I haven’t found too many games that get me genuinely excited like this one does.

Let’s be clear, this game is not finished - it’s still RAW and needs to be put back in the oven. However, the concept is itself is revolutionary - a Boomershooter Roguelike that seamlessly connects sections of your favourite 90s FPS’s together into one long-running, never-ending level that you can progress through for hours on end.

At this stage there are a lot of bugs and issues and it definitely needs more content, but having said that, I don’t think I’ve been this excited for a new game in years. This title takes everything I was hoping for and compresses it into a single brilliant little piece of wish-fulfilment.

I rarely ever post reviews for games. I really want this game to succeed especially since I love anime tiddie.

Now what is Fida Puti Samurai? It’s an FPS where a cute pink hair girl discovers the VR realm her boyfriend has been making has copious amount of anime tiddie porn and waifus in it; she wants to find out what depraved fetish shit he’s got on his PC.

Story

The story is mostly non-existent; the game is in early access and isn’t done. At first you talk to the player avatar’s boyfriend on the PC in the VR set-piece he made that serves as your hub, but the main draw of the game seems to be the nsfw-anime aesthetic alongside the gameplay. The game has a lot of potential for its story for jokes and gags that could make my head pop like an atom bomb from laughter.

Game Tengoku CruisinMix Special

Game Tengoku CruisinMix Special

Game Tengoku CruisinMix is fast-paced, cute, funny, colorful, and nostalgic. The glimpses of Streetfighter playing in the background and the Tetris-ish blocks are nice retro touches. Rainbow colors fill in the details in the background. Adorable characters and bosses are plentiful. Bubblegum pop sets the tone but it is not distracting.

There is an arsenal of six unique anime characters that move at the same speed but each character has different fire power capabilities. During gameplay, the characters can catch bombs and powerups which adds options of mini characters to increase your fire power and spread. There are many opportunities to increase your bomb arsenal so there really is not a need to use the bombs sparingly, which is helpful. The characters are vocal in cutesy Japanese when good things happen.

Game Tengoku is a wonderful cute em up port of the game released for Saturn in 1997. Controls are manual shot (with a charge shot if held down), autofire, bomb, and display or hide score (Saturn only). Ships all move at the same speed but have different shots, and the game has no slowdown button.

Positives:

  • Solid 60 fps

  • Arcade Mode has 6 levels with a 2nd loop; 2nd loop adds suicide bullets

  • Saturn Mode has 8 levels: adds Karaoke and Console level

  • Leaderboards for each character

  • Time attack

Great colorful scroll shooter, with anime bewbs on board :) :

+Visuals: overall design is great, the menu looks nice, the hud looks nice, projectiles and anime gurls looks nice, mobs looks cartoonish but it’s okay.

+Sound: nice music work with 1 problem - if you minimize the game you still hear the music

?_? I guess this is the game engine flaw, so NSFW :)

+Gameplay: Classy Touhou like scroll-shooter, the easiest difficulty already hard for me, I guess you need some practice, you have huge a55 hitbox located in your аrsе (basically all of it), so be careful and don’t get your butt shot off :), you have an option to make the hitbox permanently visible, not only in focus mode, this is pretty helpful, but the game is still very challenging.

This would be a very weak “Well, it’s completely competent” yes, if it weren’t for the fact that the game is not just bland, but has a real weak bug (ie, every time you hit the default select key on a controller to go to the next stage, it chews a bomb).

It’s utterly charmless, every non-boss enemy sprite is in stage 1, patterns never really do much, and the music is Baby’s First Casio. This is the most paint by numbers bullet hell you could possibly try. Just skip it.

Cyber Shadow

Cyber Shadow

Cyber Shadow is a very good platformer that does its job quite well by offering a balanced and a fun experience. The fact that it’s been developed by a single person makes this game even more noteworthy. It has sweet sprite work and a basic gameplay that turns into a more complex one as you progress. It’s mostly linear, but you can revisit the previous areas later on to get some HP and SP upgrades for Shadow. However, it certainly does not qualify as a metroidvania title.

The story, when you think about it, is very good. You’ll probably won’t grasp what’s going on on your first playthrough since it can be cryptic at some points, but the more you think about it, the clearer it gets. It basically starts off with an explosion and Shadow, the protagonist, wakes up with cybernetic enhancements and sets out to rescue the rest of his clan from the hands of the mad Dr. Progen. As you progress, you learn more about the characters and I’d easily say that it is very interesting.

Side scrolling action that starts fun but simple before giving you double and wall jumps, parry, a downward strike to bounce off enemies, sprints with a lunging invulnerable slash all leading to more interesting movement. Boss fights are varied in style with good looking enemies, though are pretty easy to beat (even when going for each of their achievement challenges). Good art though not that unique as the future dystopia setting and level backgrounds is fairly common, great soundtrack. There are more hidden pickups that will increase your health or SP for your special attacks but your health mostly increases automatically from beating mid level bosses so you aren’t overly punished for not finding every hidden thing like you would be in most games that do that. The only more difficult parts tend to come from some of the SP increasing items you need to backtrack for.
