the game wasn’t very funny, the only thing that made me come back was the stupid dialogue and how everything didn’t make sense. the humor was very dumb and stupid so i enjoyed it. i would get it a 7/10 to be honest.

What is Pixel Puzzles 2: Anime?
Pixel Puzzles 2: Anime is a strong contestant for the “doesn’t know the difference between anime and manga” award. Other than that, it is a puzzle game. You are presented with 25 puzzles that range from 60 to 350 pieces each, with only one having 350 pieces. There is one assistant flying around giving you bubbles you can use for optional help.
The graphics are fitting for a puzzle game, but the puzzle pictures sometimes, as you will know from the puzzles by a big German company “Ravensburger”, if you ever laid them, make it difficult to see where you would want to fit tiles. This however is remedied by the gameplay (see below).

Great puzzle game. Includes 25 anime themed puzzled. Number of pieces are between 60 and 350. In comparison with a previous game (Pixel Puzzles: Japan) they improved a lot of things. For example the floating pieces around your table don’t get stucked anymore and the puzzle is saved on exit, but pieces on the table which are not on the correct spot get resettet.
Another great improvement is the special abilities you can use (either show the original image, correct rotation or show correct spot). But the anime fairy which will grant you magic dust is very annoying after a while.

Anime Artist 2: Lovely Danya
TL;DR version: Good game. Buy it. Give it a go. And get the previous version if you haven’t.
Long version: Anime Artist 2 - Lovely Danya has a lot of charm, from the soundtrack to the little snippets of speech the titular character has to say. Players of Anime Artist will find this game very familiar, but also somewhat mechanically different, as the drawing phase is now a join-the-dots puzzle. Colouring mode is the same (currently), where the user picks a colour and paints it into an area they hope is the right one. The time limit is generous enough to make the game fun without excess frustration.

TL;DR: Cute game, could do with expansion, but is very well set up for it.
Anime Artist 3: Harem is an easy two-hour game of drawing and painting pictures of women in anime style. You get four artists to hire, and each allows you to access a different array of pictures.
If you’ve played either of the previous two games, Anime Artist 3: Harem will be very familiar, as the mechanics are pretty much the same. Draw the sketch, paint the picture in, feel accomplished(?). This game, as it stands at time of this review, is not particularly new, but more a slight refinement of its predecessors. The outfits are cute enough and the additional voice work makes a nice touch. It’s not a game that particularly needs a lot of brainpower to play or complete, but that’s a good thing if what you need is a low-stress entertaining game with pretty pictures.

For that price, it’s ok. You get an experience, that I haven’t seen anywhere else. Revealing a picture by basically memorizing the general colors and the swiping the right spots is - to me at least - a new concept. There are two major criticisms though. First, it can be done always and with a 100% rating within the time limit. I never struggled to finish the pic at least 30s early. Since there is no penalty for misplacing colors, you just paint everything with every color, and there is still more time left. Second, the content is lacking. If with all DLCs, there isn’t much there. One of the key features erasing away from the finished pic) is ultimately underused and could potentially be the game selling feature here, if it just was used in a more varied and more interesting way. So for 2$, it’s ok. Including workshopsupport could be the changing factor, but so far, not much has accumulated there, and some of it is straight up copyrighted and badly implemented.

There are a lot of puzzles to solve with this product which makes it a good value for the price, especially if you get it on sale as I did. The multiple difficulty settings that allow you to choose the number of pieces and the fact that you can work on multiple puzzles at a time since your progress auto saves are greatly appreciated, as is the button to separate edge and inner pieces, and a lot of the art is pretty nice, but all of these positives fail to make up for janky controls and very poor UI. I’ve had more trouble with selecting and moving a piece than I have with actually figuring out where they go on the 70 piece option, turning what should be a relaxing way to spend time into an often frustrating affair. I’ve finished 6 or 7 puzzles at this point and couldn’t honestly say I enjoyed any of them. I do intend to push through the rest of them at this point, but I still haven’t ruled out going for a refund instead.

BUY ON SALE! - There really isn’t enough content to really recommend at anything over 0.49. The art is rather hit or miss and the puzzles are quick to solve, even at 25 pieces.

It’s a small, relaxing, simple puzzle game based around the holidays. Using the picture behind, completing the puzzles shouldn’t take more than a few minutes. It would’ve been nice if there were different pictures for the medium and hard mode. There’s too little content to pay for it at its full price, best get it on 50% discount.
