Project Kat - Paper Lily Prologue
A pretty interesting, cute and short horror game. The graphics were really nice for pixel art and I loved the character design. The music and sounds were nice as well. The story is also well done, especially for such a short game. I loved the premise and I really enjoyed the multiple endings. I do wish that there was some kind of maybe a gallery or an ending list in-game. It would be nice to see if I had grabbed all the endings or if I ended up missing any. I did like seeing that certain choices did change a few things in-game (such as the blackboard in the theater room). I didn’t have any real issues while playing the game, beyond my own stupidness. For a prologue, I don’t expect there to be much in the game, and I definitely don’t expect a long game. For 3 hours, I was able to look around and beat the game a few times.

Very nice horror game. There aren’t things that jump right at you like a jumpscare but the things that appear from time to time is just enough to send my spine tingling. They played around with the audio as well to give the extra suspense. Puzzles weren’t that hard but I’m guessing these will in difficulty in the full game. With all that said, I can’t wait for the full game!

Doki Doki Literature Club is one of the most twisted, shocking, and horrifying Visual Novel I’ve ever played. This game is amazing and the creator is such a passionate person. Doki Doki Literature Club will take you on an unforgettable ride, with lots of wild emotions. You will be feeling chills and goosebumps when playing through this and by the end you will almost be left feeling empty. Like you wish this game to never end, but still felt it ended nicely (If you get the true ending).
This game pushes boundaries of psychological element into the Visual Novel Genre and did it perfectly. It will keep shocking and horrifying you through your read. This game is a perfect example of not to judge a book by its cover. If you’ve been reading a lot of Visual Novel and feel a bit tired of the usual stuff, instead want to experience something new and unique! This game has it!

THIS IS NOT A GAME FOR KIDS. It looks cute and like a regular visual novel and it’s not at all.
Story: You play a mysterious 5th person who lives in an isolated cabin in the woods. 4 strangers come to stay with you, and you must build relationships with them and provide meals every day. A terrible storm floods the surrounding area and you can’t leave the cabin for supplies. Also there are some talking fruits and vegetables that “help” out sometimes. And what’s in the locked basement?
Gameplay: Like most visual novels you choose options that change your destiny. This game is meant for multiple play throughs. The achievements will guide you to unlock secrets, new paths, and dreams. You can fast forward the dialogue and change the speed in options. Space bar or left clicking progresses the dialogue.

Fairy Sister
The game is tagged as psychological horror but contains none of it. It seems unfinished as the level select screen is very large but once the first 7 puzzles are done, there is nothing left to select with only a large empty white screen. Perhaps I gave up too early or something but as there are no hints of anything being amiss at any point, there is no reason to continue playing.

This game is fun, witty and addictive. The characters are deadly but at the same time adorable - who wouldn’t want to date them?
I like the way the game is structured and how chaotic the mini-games can get at times! Every time I lose i just kept wanting to go back and try something different and was surprised to find twists in the story and areas of the facility that I hadn’t before.
The voice fx of the characters gives me chills that should be warning enough to not fall in love, but… oh well. Here I am, several deaths later!

Truth: Desorder III—Gemini is a short horror visual novel about some sick twisted relationship between twin sisters.
After awful first two parts this game looks much, way much better. I appreciate all the improvement the developers made. Though this novel is still not in a perfect condition, unfortunately.
Art is nice. There’s even an opening video now which is rather fine. But I can’t say I liked the same sprites for the main characters. This story seems to be completely unrelated to first parts, in this case… Why?! Honestly, inevitably all that negative impression lingers here as well because I continue looking at the same characters.

The extra content is worth the price tag. The music player is a nice touch and the unlockable images are great.
! There are also secrets in the VM. The side stories gives insight to the 4 characters and shows how they mature and learn from each other through friendship and literature. At the same time it shows the formation of the safe and happy place known as the Literature Club, a place where you can express yourself, a place where you can write the way into your heart.

Cooking Companions: Appetizer Edition
Well, for me it was a somewhat neutral experience overall. It wasn’t a really fresh or particularly amazing game. However, it’s a good game to spend some idle time on and make a few theories about what’s going on in the story (there’s definitely clues!), even when the story itself, to me, wasn’t all that engaging. Why? Because the human characters themselves just kind of seem to be there as an audience rather than participants, which is far from their roles in this, as the game implies. They’re not super fleshed out–heh–but that’s to be expected for this demo.

This game is so close to being good. I wanted to like it, I really did. I was really excited as I love DDLC, but this is…way less scary. The Chompettes are way too weird and unexplained for me to truly take them seriously with the berry scene being the only exception. The “foreshadowing” is extremely obvious and not even in a creepy way. There were some moments that were really good and genuinely creepy, but sadly I just got bored with it as those moments were few and far between. All it really had to offer in my opinion is jumpscares and poorly timed puns. In short right now this is baby mode DDLC and I want it to improve and it has the potential to do so.
