ALLBLACK Phase 1
ALLBLACK Phase 1 is a free to play Kinetic Visual Novel split into 3 chapters that grabs your attention from the start with its intense action involving an amnesiac who is rescued at sea by a fishing vessel and, upon docking, is thrust into a world of mystery & intrigue. The plot is driven by a gradual unravelling of self-discovery experienced during life-threatening scenarios that the amnesiac encounters the moment he leaves the fishing vessel.
There are moments when reading this VN that you’re immediately reminded of the Jason Bourne novel The Bourne Identity and, even though this VN is based off a novel, it’s conversion maintains the same engrossing desire to want to share the journey of discovering the unknown about the amnesiac.

This may be the strangest things I have completed on Steam. The game/story started out very strong but quickly my enjoyment descended into hell. The art and sound are amazing. The story is interesting. This games downfall is the writing. The story drags because of the asinine level of unnecessary detail make sections that should be exciting into extremely long narrative that go on and on and on. At first I found this amusing but by chapter 2’s end my enjoyment drifted to frustration.

Higurashi When They Cry Hou - Ch.1 Onikakushi
First, a brief note to the uninitiated:
This is not a pleasant story, whatever the screenshots may have led you to believe. Beneath the veneer of a cheesy, run-of-the-mill school-comedy lies a cruel world of madness, terror, and violence. Major characters die routinely; sometimes on-screen, sometimes off, but never in a peaceful manner. Nonetheless, it is a highly compelling experience, and very rewarding if you can endure to the end of the series. If this intrigues you, feel free to read on, but those looking for nothing more than a stereotypical anime-harem-style rom-com would do well to look elsewhere. Higurashi may resemble that on a superficial level, but this is a series that delights in letting the reader think they know what is going on, even as it brings the façade crumbling down around them.

PSYCHO-PASS: Mandatory Happiness
The first thing that you must know if you are considering playing PSYCHO-PASS: Mandatory Happiness is that pressing 1 on the keyboard opens the menu. Press 1 to open menu.
–——–
The second thing is probably how it runs on PC. This is when a warning is necessary: some testers with Windows 10 64-bit reported late in the test period that the game wouldn’t play after the last patch was pushed.
During the beta test period, which formally ended almost 2 months ago on 1 March, NISA were suitably responsive to fix issues. After the test ended, some testers have posted problems but nothing has been heard from NISA, possibly because NISA stopped monitoring or being active on the beta test forum. Given how responsive NISA were during the test period, I believe it is reasonable to have some faith that NISA will fix the Windows 10 64-bit bug.

Reading this review will certainly clear your hue.
When we love a series, it is not uncommon to wish for a video game to be made in the same universe. Whether the game is actually good is up to how it is handled. A lot are bad, but there are some that rise up and is great. With 2 seasons and a movie behind it’s belt, Psycho-Pass comes up to bat with their own game: Mandatory Happiness.
This visual novel takes place somewhere between season one with a few hints on what episodes already or have not happened yet. But if you are new, whether you never knew it was an anime or never had the time to watch it, do not be intimidated. Mandatory Happiness does appeal to fans the most, but they do not suspect everyone to know all the terms and how the universe works. It subtly tells you about everything that is relevant while also filling up a tip menu. It also helps that the story is easy to follow, even if you never looked at the tips, you will get it enough to understand.

Crimson Gray: Dusk and Dawn
Very fun and interesting little VN. Like the first game, your perception of the world and even your decisions are influenced by your characters mental problems, this time Lizzie’s instead of John’s, allowing you to see some parts of Lizzie’s character you only got hints of in the first game. Whereas the Crimson Gray had a lot of action segments, Dusk and Dawn is very heavily Slice of Life based in genre which builds into the life John and Lizzie are trying to develop for themselves. If you enjoyed the first game, you’ll absolutely love this sequel, since it really expands the story and your understanding of the characters. If you’re concerned with playtime, my initial playthrough was between 3 and 3.5 hours, and I’ve spent an extra 2 hours or so trying to sort out all the alternate routes, of which there are many due to this games high level of variance. Given the extremely reasonable pricing, I’d recommend this game to anyone who enjoys warped romance or psychological games, though I’d play the original Crimson Gray first so that you understand John’s character.

Honestly, I was actually somewhat disappointed by this one. After wracking my brain for hours trying to find the correct path(s) in the original, this sequal was just too easy. When I read that there would be “an emphasis on unreliable narration”, I expected to story to be more unhinged: that I would be seeing the world from Lizzie’s deranged perspective and and be unable to tell what was real and what was Lizzie being her normal unhinged self. I thought it would be much like the first game, where I was making life-or-death decisions on woefully-lacking information, except that in this game, instead of being unsure what Lizzie was thinking or how to best respond to that, I wouldn’t ever be sure if I was responding to the circumstances I thought I was.

Higurashi When They Cry Hou - Ch.3 Tatarigoroshi
**The Snake in the well was happy, for it did not care what was outside the well.
The Snake in the well was happy, for it had naught to do with what happened outside the well.
And you were happy too, for you did not know what happened outside the well. - Frederica Bernkastel**
Just… whoa… Every time, I swear that this won’t either surprise or annoy me, it ends up being a new creep-bomb… Ehm, sorry. This is the third game in Higurashi When They Cry series: Ch.3 Tatarigoroshi. Invoking what I gathered from the publishing information in Manga Gamers forums priorly, the original series consist of 8 chapters, which will probably keep inventing new and refreshing ways to both consternate and creep us out continuously, both with the imaginatively disturbing and the eerily mysterious that serves as the main body of these Hinamizawa stories.

Higurashi, with this release, has possibly become my favorite series of all time. Every release adds something, has a different flavor, and never gets boring. This one leaves even less room for setup than before, knowing that, because you played the other two chapters, it doesn’t need to waste its time with introductions. By chapter 3, the plot is already in motion, and things are starting to get incredbily sad…and creepy.
Let me warn you: This episode is depressing. If you can’t take representations of child abuse well, then I would suggest you stay away from this. It isn’t the most detailed description/situation out there, but it’s enough that it gets the point across and is extremely depressing (and disturbing). So, with that out of the way, let’s get into the basic plot of this chapter!

Case 00: The Cannibal Boy
ok for starters I love love LOVE the characters designs plot and graphics, I think that everything ties together really well I also really like how they added the theme of murder and urban legends and an queer relationship I think it gives it a little more individuality all in all I really love this game and would recommend this to others people but I’m also really sad that there isn’t another game out and there probably wont be but its amazing non the less :)

Just watch a let’s play it’s a better use of your time and free! The game is bad the storytelling is atrocious. However, the sound design, and art are good. Don’t waste your few dollars on this unless you’re really into startlingly sweet main menu jump scares because that’s the only thing here that will thrill you.

SOULS
A good story that can make player’s sticked into it, and keep playing to the end.
Player would probably get complex emotions througout the whole story, from depress, anxious, anger, to relief.
The writer of the story put a lot of afford in descripting character’s psychological thought, which made the character nice.
The BGM of the game is AMAZING, suiting the story very well.
The Graphics of the game isn’t that appealing, but acceptable. Some of the background CGs do actually scared me with the combination of story and BGM all together.

I had just posted a review on this just a bit ago, but after some thought, I think this should only be recommended to people familiar with visual novels and have the patience to overlook the countless grammatical errors and subpar translation.
I did finish the game. In one session even. I engrossed myself in the story enough to overlook the errors. The plot had some good twists and the game kept me guessing til the end. However, there also tend to be some pretty big plot holes/unanswered questions
! like why it seemed like after the father was absorbed, it went straight to an elementary school instead of, for example, his previous place of work? And if it was because of the stench of negative emotion, why was everyone there so miserable?

ADDITIONAL NOTE
Clea, an beautiful and cute girl has a younger brother whom she loves so much named Edmord. Their parents are scientists (even though I don’t know what scientists they are). Clea’s family has many maid who is always ready to serve the Family. Clea has strange disease involving Clea’s Chaos (although similar but she is not a Doppelganger) to haunt her mind. But don’t worry, if you bring some red herbs and use it, Clea will be safe. In this game, you have to be able to find a way out to be able to survive from the house. There will be many challenges involved. There are many types of challenges on Main Menu to playing them. The game have Multiple Endings and Secret chapters, maybe it will be very difficult for you if you can finish them in less than 1 hour. The most important thing is this game doesn’t have Jumpscare might not be complicated if played one. I suggest to you to play this game at night. Because this game has a horror genre and it will be very challenging if you play it at night and don’t forget to use a headset with loud sound

Clea is a game that I’ve been following since it was a mere concept art from the developer. At the time, I wasn’t very interested in the project; mainly because the original art wasn’t very beautiful (sorry XD). But then, all of a sudden, the character designer which worked with InvertMouse on his previous projects came back. And then… I saw it. The new version of that original concept art; and it looked fabolous. I was stunned; those eyes, that direct gaze at the player, almost emotionless and soulless, devoid of any life, made me think: “Wow. This… this is fantastic! Maybe it’s for the best if I follow this project, it may turn into something very interesting.”

Echoed Memories
It’s a great game with lovable characters and a fun, yet very emotional story. There are many accessability options to keep the game available to a wide audience. There is a also a difficulty setting for hard, normal, and casual - with casual making the game VERY easy if you are only interested in story and don’t really want to fight a lot of difficult battles.
Overall, Echo607 has knocked another great game out of the park, and I highly recommend this game for any RPG Lovers. Don’t expect another Final Fantasy clone. It’s so much deeper than that. Also flirting, lots and lots of flirting.

It was a joy to play through this adventure. It was such a satisfying conclusion to an adventure that was years in the making. Especially for someone who has been following the development of both games for years. Congratulations Echo for completing the story you wanted to tell!

Her Lie I Tried To Believe
I don’t usually take my time to review games, but when I do, is because it left an impact on my. “Her Lie I Tried To Believe” is no exception, although sadly, this game left a bad taste in my mouth. I can’t reccomend this game to anyone who hasn’t played a Visual Novel (VN from now on) in his life, because I feel that this might make them a certain bias towards the entire genre.
Summary:
On my thoughts towards this VN. For starters, it’s free, so you would assume that it’s worth it to try, since it’s practically a “risk free” inversion. This may lead to most reviews to be far more “relaxed” and apologetic on their reccomendations, but not this critic. This seems like a very rushed experience, not very visually apealing game, with lack of control over the story in any way, and sadly, it’s more frustrating because this novel HAD the potential of becoming a great premise, however, all of their chances are wasted.
