Legends of Astravia

Legends of Astravia

Lost within the turmoil of Astravia’s past, you and your companions must find a way to unite its people before the Cataclysm brings about another age of ruin.

Features

  • Exciting, timer-based battle system that relies on quick decision making. The twist: you control the timer; no more waiting for a bar to fill up or for turns to pass.

  • A varied cast of playable characters, each with unique combat styles and unique abilities to help you craft the perfect team.

  • Vast, explorable world filled with dungeons, caves, and towns. There are challenging puzzles to solve and treasures to find in every corner of Astravia.

  • Avoidable enemy encounters. Choose your own playstyle instead of being at the mercy of randomized, repetitive gameplay.

  • Modular skill system that allows you to swap abilities between characters, so you never feel locked in to a particular “build”.

  • An engaging story supported by varied side-quests. Alongside a fulfilling main quest, meet characters all over the world with their own side-quests and special rewards.

Story

The world of Astravia is in conflict; severed by unrest between mysticians and humans who fear their magic. Once seen as heroes, the flow of time eroded mysticians’ feats into myth, and so anyone who shares their likeness in the present day must instead hide from the ruling country of Valica and its brutal knights.

Thus, the wandering mystician Oliver must tread with caution as he escapes the woods of a Valican territory. Spared by a mysterious assassin and at a loss as to how he got there, the stakes are raised even higher when Oliver realizes he must pass through Valica’s capitol in order to find answers about his own origins.

#### Chapter 2 & 3’s synopses will be revealed prior to their release.

Nirvana Pilot Yume

Nirvana Pilot Yume

I love the concept for this game - visual novel + SkyRoads (which was an amazing DOS game where you piloted a little space car hopping along interstellar highways) is such a good, fresh idea. Nirvana Pilot Yume also throws in a great synthwave soundtrack as well as an artistic style that reminds me of 80s anime and vaporwave music videos. The visual novel aspect of the game is really well written, and the dialogue is enjoyable and the sex scenes natural and non-cringy.

The racing sections are a little rough at the moment - I think my biggest problem is that the tracks are REALLY hard, or at least the difficult bumps up dramatically after the first track, which is dirt easy. It’s quite hard to see what exactly is coming your way, because the vantage point is directly at the horizon whereas in SkyRoads, you had somewhat more of an overhead view, and thus more time to react and move your ship around obstacles. In Nirvana Pilot Yume, I feel like there’s almost no time to react at all because stuff is coming at you so fast, and the collision detection is VERY sensitive. The brake option also doesn’t seem to do much at the moment but pull the camera in closer, and currently when I try slowing down in all tracks after the first one, the speed meter at the top doesn’t change. (Not sure if this is a bug or not.)

I recently received this game for free as a curator connect offer for my group Visual novel, JRPG, Anime. First of all, this visual novel is an adult eroge visual novel with a few NSFW CGs. For those who don’t mind adult visual novels, read on.

This romance visual novel with arcade racing and platforming segments by Dev9k features a male protagonist Mitur Aldaine. Mitur graduated from an Academy and became the greatest racer of Alba Proxima and an Eye in a futuristic world where territorial contests between different orbital stations are decided by races among spaceships.

Game is broken as fuck achievements are constantly bugging even if you reinstall it dose not fix the problem and thats the only reason you would want this game..

as far as the snake game its extremely basic and poorly made only 3 different difficulty settings unlike 9 that it should have the controls are unresponsive and set to arrow keys cant use w,a,s,d and sometimes your just randomly die because you can do turns your not meant to what kills you ..example you can be going in the right direction and press the left and it can kill you . you cant full screen and is no options for the border so you have a constant wall on the outside .. this was a extremely easy game to copy and you fucked that up gj

A twist on the classic game Snake with a few extra options; “Slug” if you want the snake to move slower (although my attempts seemed to automatically kill the snake at a length of 108), “Worm” (classic snake game), or “Python” (probably 2x the speed of Worm option). Overall a fun way to kill time if you enjoyed the game snake when you were younger, but i would suggest waiting to purchase until the game goes on sale

Rate 6/10 - A fun game, however it does get boring after about a half hour of consecutive playing imo

Disc Creatures

Disc Creatures

Haven’t done everything yet, still missing a few creatures (~92% done) but i’ll share my thoughts so far:

Pro:

+A good roster of 200 creatures, with fun/interesting designs

+Varied Locations, having the colour scheme change according to locations is nice.

+A decent story, not all that exciting but did it’s job alright.

Con:

-Too little difference in stats for early game to late game/rare/hard to get creatures

-All creatures you get starts at lvl 1, so getting creatures at later locations are actually worse than getting them at the first point they are avalible, also makes the grind to get a creature you think looks nice discouraging.

One of the better monster collectors I’ve played in awhile. This game is everything I love about Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland and Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow both for the GameBoy Color and yet miles improved compared to both.

The overworld encounters make it feel like getting through an area is less of a hassle compared to the random encounters of the above games.

Having a huge skill pool for each monster to switch between makes it so you can deal with far more situations as opposed to the limitations of TMs and relearning moves in Pokemon games or inheriting skills in Dragon Quest Monsters games.

DORAEMON STORY OF SEASONS

EDIT:

After playing a little bit more, and unlocking additional stamina for Noby (yes, dear viewer, you’re not stuck at a teensy 100 units of stamina), the game becomes a lot less frustrating to play. Once you realize that you’re basically growing crops for yourself to make food with (for quick stamina recovery and to make the friendship slog less of a thing), that the animals are the main moneymakers of your farm, that your stamina is better spent gathering things, and OH MY GOSH MATERIAL SHED YES I NEEDED SPACE FOR MY ITEMS, this game becomes playable.

Real player with 229.8 hrs in game

game’s good but I really need harvester and tractor

After playing for more hours, I’m going to elaborate what I said above

In regards of crops

Plus points
  • Lots of plant varieties and crop leveling system

  • Massive space, really massive that even dedicating to half of the land for grass and wheats, you have another extra space to plant more

Minus points
  • Crop leveling system does get tedious. Single harvest crops can make it bearable but multi level crop is another story. Found out that multi harvest crops does not level up after its first harvest no matter how much Fancy fertilizer you dump. So just turn those higher level produce to seeds and plant more, right? Right?

FINAL FANTASY

FINAL FANTASY

This is where it all began and where it might have just ended. The word “Final” in “Final Fantasy” really meant a Final stretch for Square at the time. This title was either going to be a success or the nearly bankrupt company would be no more. Well we all know how that ended. Final Fantasy is a flagship for Square Enix for decades and this title started it all.

To be clear, you’re not really getting the original experience with this release. The old pixel art Final Fantasy games have been re-released and re-made so many times by now on various platforms, each making some changes to how the game works, a lot of people have different favorite and are ultimately going to be disappointed when another release does something differently. The original FFI came out on NES and GBA and if you want a real authentic experience, you’d turn to those. The game on NES was significantly harder and it’s what any purist really wants to play. My very first experience with FF I was actually on a Java phone back in 2007 or 2008 if you can believe that exists. The pixel remaster series we have here are far from the original feel. So what do we have on our hands anyway?

I’ve never played FF1 before now. It was an enjoyable experience, overall… There were times the next step in game-play was unclear, & I traveled the entire map, so it became a real grind battling the same monsters over & over again, & I still didn’t find any clue as to where I needed to go next. I ended up needing to refer to online forums to eventually figure it out, & I needed to do that many times after that, so I took the fun out of discovery, (but it was either that or continue grinding seemingly endlessly). There is a feature that allows you to battle automatically, but it isn’t without its flaws; it follows the last choices you made were, which may or may not be ideal for the monsters you’re battling. It became boring toward the end, but I eventually made it to the final mega-boss. By then I had become lazy & died the first try, but soon discovered the final boss was a real challenge, which once again made the game interesting. Of course I wouldn’t want every fight to be as challenging as that, perhaps it would have been better if there weren’t as many monsters while wandering dungeons, or perhaps the fight dynamics could have been more unique to make it more interesting. I also like to be able to complete all challenges, but for as thorough as I thought I was, somehow I missed some treasure chests & some beasts, that was disappointing, because I really don’t want to play this game from the beginning again.

Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars

Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars

Voice of Cards was a game I was either grinning at or holding back tears with. All your party members are, as the narrator puts it, colorful characters, and they get to express their personalities frequently through the random events you bump into while traveling. Who will you choose to break down this door? The big muscle guy is the obvious choice, but maybe you should ask the magician… basically, it’s fun to pick the wrong answer, and you’re never really punished for it. Much!

Gameplay is a lot more straightforward than you might think, with the tabletop/card aesthetic the game has going on. Anyone familiar with typical turn-based RPGs will be fine, and it’s not a terribly difficult game to begin with. This is your cue to pick your favorites and just do whatever!

When I picked this game up I was expecting another wild ride from Yoko-taro; This is not that. I am fairly certain that Square Enix just slapped his name all over the marketing for this game as a marketing ploy, and it sure got me.

However, it is a nice experience in it’s own right. Maybe not worth 30 dollars/euro/whatever, but servicable for what it is. I found myself having a good time, enjoying the gameplay and characters.

The game shines in characters and their dynamics together. The mix of main characters make up a fairly unique roster, from the money-driven self proclaimed “hero” to the muscle-man nutritionist, you’ll be hard pressed to find a character you don’t like. The character writing at work here is definitely up to square enix standards!
