Azur Lane Crosswave
Finally I finished this game with 100% achievement, I reviewed this game based on what I experienced and felt, I don’t want any debate like “I don’t feel the way you feel when I play this game” one more thing, I’m not an expert in a review and therefore I know that my writing is far from perfect. So I started with gameplay.
Gameplay
Ahhh the gameplay, somehow I like or not but heres the thing, here you play 5 types of ships namely CL, CA, DD, CV, and BB with a total of 29 playable characters and 35 support characters. The basic battle is quite simple, you choose the character you want to play along with an additional 2 playable characters that you can switch during battle and 3 support characters, shoot enemy ships with predetermined skills and avoid attacks, oh yes on side note you don’t use ships the same as your enemy, I can’t say much about this. All types can do dashes except BB, your dash will be given a shield instead and also the speed of this BB run is very slow compared to others (yes I know this makes sense). Honestly I like the dash in this game but I expect the character to be able to jump too. There is an oddity that I found on DD / CA / CL gun, where you can shoot enemy aircraft with this gun even though you have AA as your gear, quite strange right? To shoot the aircraft, the distance is very far and you have to wait until the aircraft approaches even more so in a condition you have to shoot as many as 20 aircraft but the spawn is only 16 and this is enough to make me very angry, then there are other things like battles that have arena stage the small one with an invisible wall (uhh I’m quite annoyed with this, yeah I know it’s made like in the mobile game).

When you open Azur Lane for the first time on your phone, you are surprised with a loud AZUR LANE!
You wonder to yourself what is this game, and eventually you get addicted to it and have been sticking with the game for nearly two years by the time of this review.
That’s me, and this is just a review with their VN based 3D game Azur Lane: Crosswave!
Before I start, this game is much more enjoyable if you play the base game on your mobile device, I recommend to start there first before thinking about paying for this VN based game.

Refight:The Last Warship
Now I totally dislike WOW simply because the accuracy of the weapons is totally random and you have no control over your secondary weps.
I come from Steel Ocean where accuracy isn’t rng but since they aren’t doing anything to get more players I moved on over a year ago.
I recently found this game and while it takes alot from WOWs, ie the rng accuracy element it’s actually quite fun once you realize there is a method to the gameplay and adjust.
It’s free and getting a match is fairly expedient unless you try and team up, since there isn’t alot of players. I wish you could team up against bots when you can’t find a match otherwise.

I like this game and enjoy playing it with pleasure for a couple of rounds. It’s going well for an Early Access game. There is only one thing that really frustrates me and that I think needs a thorough overhaul. It’s about the destroyers (DD). If they are equipped with the appropriate captain, they constantly spit their fog in the area, which makes fighting the DD almost impossible in a battleship. It is utterly ridiculous and far from reality that those pesky insects are buzzing around you and there is absolutely nothing you can do. In so many rounds I just ended up standing around in the smallest circle at the end and the DD fogged everything and I just waited for the storm to do the rest because I have more HP in the battleship. This is just plain ridiculous and boring and absolutely annoying. Otherwise I’m happy about every round and it’s fun to play the whole thing in Battle Royal mode.

Uncharted Waters Online
TL;DR: Uncharted Waters Online: a very difficult game with countless opportunities that will keep you shackled to your screen for hours on end.
It had been a while since I first tried this game with a steep (and I mean Steep with a capital S) learning curve, so a few weeks ago I reinstalled it, saw that my character, hardly advanced at anything, was still available so I figured I would start where I had left off.
That may have been a mistake, because apart from remembering how to move my character and how to get to my ship, I had no idea what I was doing. Starting from zero after having finished the tutorial… Bad choice.

I should make it clear I’m not recommending supporting this game monetarily, I would suggest you don’t buy anything from the cash shop, what I encourage players to do is give it a try and play without spending money, especially if you have some friends to bring in.
TL;DR PROS/CONS version:
PROS:
-
Unique MMORPG that focuses on 3 types of playstyles: adventure, merchant, battle (maritime).
-
Freedom to choose what skills you want, and focus on whatever combo of playstyles you prefer.

Florensia
I have been playing this game on an off for about 8 years, before the new server even came out and have probably wasted more than 3000 hours of my life across several accounts and multiple different characters. I find the game itself quite fun although it can be repetitive at times with its mundane combat system and buggy naval combat, however, what plagues this game the most is the absence of options for free to play players to get gear or equipment that could be considered at least mediocre: before the elite dungeons update, free to play players could make a decent amount of money by grinding sea levels and gathering magic crystals (a valuable in game resource). However, after the update even that option got removed as magic crystals became way more common and the only viable way to get better gear became spending real money in the game.Overall the game is pretty good and can be fun if played with friends for the first time, but is an absolute pay to win nightmare.

First of all, sorry for my poor english, its not my first language.
I’ve played this game for a long time before it came to steam, im very happy it still alive! This simple MMORPG taught me how to play with a keyboard, since it was the one of the firsts game i’ve ever played on a PC. This game have amazing songs, and the graphics are cute (at least before you leave the first island), but they work very well with the atmosphere. As you progress, you have to sail to another islands, and you can control you battleship on the ocean, listening to the greatests songs in the game.

Captain Firebeard and the Bay of Crows
This pirate game (long title, can’t be bothered to write it all down) is a charming kinetic novel with a pac-man style minigame. They really should have just written that on the blurb instead but I understand that such a concise description isn’t great for marketing so you’ll have to get your gospel truths from me!
In my usual style I will rattle through my categories:
Story, Writing & Characters
The plot is interesting and has a splash of real history, which I like a lot. Too many times have I seen things set in the Golden Age of Piracy where certain elements are taken from completely different centuries and then smashed together into one, ignoring historical accuracy. I can tell that everything here is really well researched and correct. The writing was sharp, witty and period accurate. The characters feel realistic and consistent and you do feel that you are on an exciting adventure, which is essential in a pirate tale. I liked the jokes a lot, especially those surrounding the hapless captain and his unlucky crew. My favorite character was probably Lady Wendy; something about powerful, calculating women just does it for me… mmmm Teresa May…. I also enjoyed that a fellow Frenchman was shown as being a bad-ass pirate hunter! That was maybe the best bit for me! Vive La France!

This has become one of my go-to games to sit with some friends and just laugh and have fun. There is a little bit of a learning curve with the controls but it isn’t frustrating. The only real frustration you get is when your friends edge you out. I would like to see more game modes in the future; however, what the game currently has is more than enough for some hours of entertainment with friends.
The local multiplayer can support up to 8 friends or bots and is definitely a joy with more people. Simple yet extremely entertaining.

English(i’m not excellent at english): I don’t tried the game for too long,I TOTALLY recommend it to you if you don’t have any friends to play with or if do you have them(in my case I use Parsec to play online),very nice playing singlepayer. Very nice soundtrack and in my opinion the experience is much better with a controller rather than with a keyboard

WeaponizedChess
New Version Available 2/12/18:Windows, fully animated graphics, online multiplayer with your Steam Friends
Weaponized Chess = chess + weapons
WeaponizedChess is like regular chess but in 3-D with weapons and stealth.
WeaponizedChess is derived from regular chess but makes many changes. It adds weapons, three-dimensionality, and tunable stealth. It is a more modern version of chess. Old chess is about knights capturing kings. Modern war is not like that at all. WeaponizedChess is about stealthy, weapon-armed pieces contending on a modern battlefield. Have no fear, the basic nature of chess is retained: black-and-white checkerboard, one side moves then the other, defeating the enemy king is still the goal.
WeaponizedChess is also an experiment in creating a game where a human player will always have an advantage over the artificial-intelligence player. This is achieved by deliberately and radically increasing the exponential burden of a computer player but in a way that any human can naturally handle. Humans will always be better guessers than computers and stealth (and other features of the game) ensheathe this nature into the game. You don’t like playing chess by mail or email remotely with someone because you fear they may cheat (get advice from a chess-playing computer program)? Play this game instead. Tired of playing chess against people who have spent a lot of time building up book knowledge about chess? Play this game instead.
WeaponizedChess has an integrated board editor, a type of game notation which describes a game, a set of known popular color themes, and a set of pre-defined starting boards.
WeaponizedChess is a game for people played chess in the past but got bored with it. Did you ever look at your present position during a regular chess game and wish you could move two pieces instead of just one? In WeaponizedChess you can often move more than 1 of your pieces during your turn.
Modern conflict is heavily dependent on military technology. In WeaponizedChess there are choppers, jets, tanks, submarines, destroyers, and combat engineers whose characteristics have been translated to a chess board. Low-observable assets play a deadly game of cat and mouse with an opponent. Infantrymen use jump-packs to fly over the battlefield. Combat scuba invisibly travels under the surface to attack.
There are 2 versions available on Steam. In the Linux/SteamOS version you play against a computer opponent or against another human. Human versus human play requires both players be in the same physical room and share the computer to make moves. This version of WeaponizedChess does not provide online multi-player matchmaking. Note that a typical AI for a regular chess game is comparatively better because an army of researchers and programmers have been working for decades to achieve this result. The 2nd, newer version runs on Windows, provides fully-animated computer graphics, and allows you play a game online with your Steam friends. This version does NOT provide a computer opponent. There is only 1 package for sale. When you buy this package you get both the Windows version and the Linux/SteamOS version. If you have 45 Gigabytes and 45 minutes available you can put Linux on your Windows PC and get both the online multiplayer and AI opponent on one computer!
You might wonder “Why should I want to buy this game?” Curiosity. One reason might be because you would be interested in seeing what regular chess would be like if it was changed to include weapons. In this game you can change options to make the board pieces move very much like regular chess pieces but they will also be able to use weapons. There are many other ways to modify the game but it would take too much text to describe them all. After you modify how you want the game to play you can save your preferences. You can set the game to automatically load your preferences whenever the game starts. You can also modify and save to your preferences for how you want the game to look as opposed to how it plays. There are many videos showing what this game looks like (on YouTube) but in this Steam version there are two modifications to how the game looks. Instead of the 2 piece sets shown in the videos and web-viewable game art there are now 13 piece sets available. Also you can use a set of known “popular” color themes to change the colors of the game board and game pieces.
The AI works better if you use an i7. Both versions are strictly 64 bit. Development for this version was strictly limited to Ubuntu (the base OS for Steam development). It has been tested to run on Ubuntu 12.04 and Ubuntu 15.10. On a Steam console it is automatically hardware-accelerated. It runs in Big Picture Mode and in Desktop Mode. Use either the mouse or controller in those environments. The Windows version has been tested on Windows 10 and Windows 7.
This version of WeaponizedChess is more interested in the game being clearly displayable than in the game graphics being a spectacular example of computer animation. Those who are only interested in a game where the graphics are pure eye candy should play some other game. This game is about thinking. It is not about looking. This game is fun because you use your mind to see the pieces, to see all the possibilities. Chess has always been like that. The simple-geometric set of pieces will always be drawn quickly and clearly even if hardware acceleration is not available.
The Steam overlay cannot be used in the Linux/SteamOS version. The overlay IS present and available in the Windows vesion.
This game has been translated to many languages. The user can change the language displayed during game usage and read documentation in many languages. The game can be controlled using: English, German, Spanish, Dutch, French, Greek, Bulgarian, Turkish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Danish, Polish, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Russian, Ukrainian, Hungarian, Czech, Romanian, Italian, Thai, Portuguese.
To change the display language (the language in which the commands are printed and which you read while playing the game) to English, click File- Change To Which Language. Then select English. To make this change permanent so that the game always boots to English, first click Play Change- Save Present Settings as User Preferences. This causes any changes you have made (including the change you just made to English) to be the new User Preferences. Second, click Play Change- Toggle At Start Use User-Preferences/Game-Defaults. Assuming you had not already set this toggle to user preferences, this will now cause the game to boot (whenever you DO boot) to your user preferences (and display commands in English). WeaponizedChess does not use, rely, depend on or care about your present locale. You don’t have to have locales set up on your Linux, you do not need your locale already set to your preferred language.
