TLDR: Brain dead smashbro clone, tryhard wanna be meme game, people will judge you after you force them to play with you, requires friends.
Super Kitty Boing Boing is a wanna be meme game with a text to speech japanese menu voice, pixelated cats, rainbow trail. Its 4 players, and you have to create an energy arc around one of four sides of the cat that will cause him to bounce out of, that is also what you use to shock other cats which makes them drop coins, pick up coins to increase your score, at the end of the timer the person with the highest amount of coins wins.

Super Kitty Boing Boing is a very, very low effort lazy 2D retro pixel platformer. With no keyboard support. On PC.
These people need to never make a video game again, ever. In fact they should be doing everything possible to delete all evidence they ever tried to enter the industry.

Overall it’s a game that’s worth trying if you are a fan of fast-paced 2D scroll games. The story isn’t very deep or complex, and it has a relaxing atmosphere. Music is wonderful. For graphic, the quality can merely be accepted by players nowadays. But a cartoonic design may cover this weakness. (maybe the subsequent advantage is that it doesn’t require a beefy computer)
The gaming experience is good overall. But the difficulty (under “NORMAL” difficulty) is a bit high, at least the last two levels are painful to me. Another issue is that the terrain in some levels is deformed and complex so you might not sense that kind of “speed”, but more of a need for “skill”.

The mechanics are very simple & straightforward. You play rock~paper~scissors to engage fights (translated in game as Hit-Counter-grab) while trying to throw the opponent of the stage (smash alike) or trigger an in-stage fatality with all the various elements existing within each one. Also Expect to mash like never before since going for the same button as your opponent will force you both to mash fest punch button, with the fastest thump being the winner! KAKATE KOI

Nippon Marathon
I´ll put it simple:
This might very well be the SURPRISE of 2018 and in my book is already a part of the Hall of Games of Couch Games alongside Towerfall and Duck Game.
Picture Micro Machines mechanics, except the mini cars are replaced by normal sized people that are not QUITE normal, like an old transvestite o an anthropomorphic dog (that somehow has become the new face of Indie Games in this book of mine I’m telling you about) ALL while competing to reach the Top in a obstacle course race in contemporary Japan.

Nippon Marathon is funny, wacky, strange, surreal, goofy, and everything you expected it to be if you have seen those funny, wacky, strange, surreal, and goofy Japanese TV shows that have a surprising number of international followers all over the globe. The game is currently in Early Access but will be coming out to full release in approximately 1 month, when the more fleshed out version of the game will be available to the public on multiple platforms.

River City Super Sports Challenge ~All Stars Special~
This game (originally released for the PlayStation 3) is a remake of Downtown Nekketsu Kōshinkyoku: Soreyuke Daiundōkai, a hilarious and extremely popular Famicom game that is part of the Kunio-kun series. The game was also ported to the Game Boy and had a 3D re-imagining on the Nintendo DS. Though this remake doesn’t include some of the additions from those ports, the game makes up for it with a whole lot of substance: more teams, more characters, more techniques, character creation, team creation, stage creation, a robust single player mode and online play. The game has plenty of fan service for fans and players of previous Kunio-kun games.

A little history on this game for those that didn’t know or were too lazy to look up what this game is and was.
So first off: this game is a remake. This game is a revisioned version of what was orginally called in Japan: “Downtown - Nekketsu Koushin Kyoku Soreyuke Daiundokai” that’s originally from the NES. Like, this is a DIRECT remake. Almost everything is the same except it’s more expanded in terms of story, gameplay, and presentation. So this english name we got for the game is actually a reused name from a Nintendo DS title. Same function, a remake of the above, but overhauled most of the game. The DS title mentioned above is the first time America got its hands on it. The NES version has NEVER gotten a American release. So color me suprised that Arc systems did this again (as they were ones who did the DS version)

Combat Core
A great 3d arena brawler, Combat Core has the “pick up and play” accessibility of a party game while providing room for a lot of technical depth once you understand how the various mechanics work. Fights involve 2-4 players and uses the character stock system similar to Super Smash Bros..
Basic combat involves utilizing weapons, grabs, quick combo strings and core attacks to deal damage to your opponent; as a party game this is enough to ensure a good time if you just want to beat down your friends in a few matches. However, once you understand how the parry and defensive roll mechanics work the technical game opens up considerably.

Combat core is an excellent arena brawler. I highly recommend this game if you want something fun, casual, and different than your traditional fighting games.
The gameplay is very solid. There are no special inputs you have to execute to perform specific attacks, it’s as easy as pressing one button, or you can mix it up with two different buttons. There are a handful of fighters that you can choose from at the moment, they all have their own unique moveset and look.
Before every round you can select a “core”. These grant you special abilities that you can use, such as laser beams, super uppercuts, super piledriver, charged rush, etc… These cost energy points to use during battle.

Flipon
What’s new if this type of game has been already done to death?
-
Cute silly story which you don’t need in order to play (kinda appropriate for kids)
-
Some extras which make it more enjoyable than open or free games in the same vein
-
Game modes always challenging you and pushing you to the next level
-
Nice audio tracks
-
Overall sense of action and a feeling of joy
What’s bad with it?
Not much that I can say. I have enjoyed lots of hours of casual play and have already achieved whatever I supposedly wanted from it. There’s some replayability value but I’m already done at 12 hours (check my status and you’ll see if I reinstalled and kept playing later on).

Review from a Hardcore Tetris Attack/Planet Puzzle League Player
When I saw this on sale, it was an instant buy! I was jonesing to flip some panels like back in the old days! As someone who played an unhealthy amount of Tetris Attack/Panel De Pon and Planet Puzzle League when I was younger, I can honestly say that I got my money’s worth here. If you’re familiar with the formula of those games, you’ll feel right at home here, and at the asking price, it’s honestly a steal!

Stardust Galaxy Warriors: Stellar Climax
I’ve had half of an eye on Stardust Galaxy Warriors since it hit Steam Greenlight. I bought it, and my impression of it then was that it was an alright introduction to shmups. I’d hoped to get some of my friends into shmups by playing this with them, but due to my IRL friends being non-gamers, this didn’t pan out. I’ve attempted to get myself through some of the achievements every now and then, so I’ve put an hour into this game “here and there,” and then I put the game down again because I wanted to play something else - I must admit that this game was not made for someone like me. Yet somehow, I keep finding myself playing this game alone, and every time I pick it up I am not disappointed. This game has, so far, been the highlight of my quest through my backlog.

To start off, I highly recommend anyone that enjoys side scrolling shooters to purchase this game, it is a must have. Feel free to keep reading if you want to know my reason.
I’m not a hardcore fan of shoot-em-ups, I didn’t even know what the word “shump” meant until today, but what I do know is that this game is really fun.
The game is very easy to pick up and play, the controls and mechanics are simple and none of that convoluted stuff, which I feel is a great thing. I don’t want to spend an hour learning about wierd game mechanics when all I want to do is just destroy enemies.

Fly Punch Boom: First Impact!
This game is an interesting take on the RPS formula and puts it into a high action fighting scenario. The action and quick time events make it fun to watch visually whether you punch someone so hard it turns black and white or to watch the stage fatalities such as getting mauled by cats or being blasted off by the moon.
Content wise, with the base content, you won’t have much as you will only have four characters and at least two stages at least from my experience. However, thanks to the recent addition of the Steam Workshop, you’re able to create an endless amount of characters. The method of creating characters is simple and it’s fun to see the end product of seeing Goku fighting Spongebob or Vegeta fighting Wario. Following the guide on creating characters, I would only recommend doing the steps 1-5 as I tried doing step 6 the first time and it wasn’t working out so well. Doing the steps 1-5 is pretty much all you need to do depending on what software or computer you have.

One of my most favourite games.
I found this at the gamescom and played it there most of my time, even played it after it once I got the beta key.
It is a fantastic fighter game in the way you would imagine a dragon ball fight, just BETTER.
I really love this game and can’t wait for the full release when you can fight on more maps and play as more characters, which btw all have different powers and ultimate attacks.
