Heat
I think finally I’ve played enough time to make a solid review of HEAT.
I’ll be changing/updating this review in the future if needed, since the game is still a work-in-progress.
Like to read???
Heat is a survival sandbox game settled in the American old West times. Imagine yourself exploring and trying to settle in these lands during the territorial evolution and American revolution, back in the days. Gunslingers! Bisons! Cowboys VS native Americans! Steam locomotives!!
PROS
- The Wild West is always a fun theme

On 4/26 I bought this game and it is now 4/30. I have 78 hours under my belt and these are my thoughts on this early access game.
I knew this was a beta and not a finished product so i didnt have dreams of it being a stellar AAA polished game. But what i have discovered is a real gem of a survival game.
*** I have played Rust, The Forest, and 7 days to die so naturally my experience with Heat will be affected by my experiences with other early access games of this genre.***
DISCLAMER: I have only played PVE servers so i can get a grip on the game before I jump into the fray on PVP–jess sayin'

I really enjoyed shooting bottles at the shooting range. It is cool that in the shooting range you can not only practice shooting but also gain points, which can be seen on the scoreboard above the bar, where the results of other players are displayed. Comparing your results with those of other players, you understand that you can improve your shooting and can be shooting more accurately.
I also liked the option in the settings where I can choose: play standing or play sitting.
The fact that you can choose a game with bots is also very convenient because it is not always possible to get together with friends.

This game is just outdated now. It’s an online casual shooter with basically 3 games, but the focus is clearly the online multiplayer shooter. There’s 4 players or more likely 3 bots and you. You are in one spot and you crouch down behind cover. It’s all about aiming quickly (need headshots because body shoots TTK is too slow) and also avoiding damage. So basically crawl in your roomscale and shoot.

The Crew™
I love racing games. It’s been so long since I’ve been excited for an open-world racing gaming like this one. One that specifically caters to an aspect often discarded and ignored which is the love of free-drive and exploration. The Crew has its focus there as well as on racing. I was so looking forward to driving around different corners of the states, meeting other players, driving around with my friends and discovering new areas or car brands and acquiring crazy modifications along the way. It has many similarities with other common games such as Test Drive Unlimited 1 mixed with Burnout Paradise for speed, exploration and challenges.

The game is quite fun, and I have spent many hours in it, and will probably spend more too. However… there are some pretty big caveats to this. The price for one; I have the Australia tax, and the base game costs $75USD, not including the exchange rate and everything. Then there is the DLC - each one is a pack of 4 extra cars, hardly worth the price considering they don’t really offer too much more. And then there are the Mi-crew-transactions. Seriously? Extra in-game micro transactions on an already pretty pricey Triple A release? There are two different forms of currency in-game, one which is solely earnt through missions, skills, and stunts. And then there are CREW CREDITS. You are given 100,000 reasonably early on in the game, but that’s not enough for anything good. And so… you are invited to use real life money to purchase these in order to quickly obtain cars or specs that you would otherwise spend countless hours grinding for. The grind for this game is pretty ridiculous - not only do you have to grind for in-game cash (unless you pay real money) for the cars, but then, upgrade those cars, you must complete skill challenges to acquire parts to improve your car… for each individual car. The best parts are also RNG based, so you could easily spend hours farming the same challenge to try and get that specific part you wanted.

Call of Duty®: Advanced Warfare - Gold Edition
I was going to recommend this game initially, but one month after release and the developers seem to have gone silent on us, no more updates or messages on the steam community. I am going to split this review into two parts, single player and multi player and talk about the pros and cons. Here we go:
The Single-player campaign - Length: 6-7 hours - Difficulty: Average ( I played about 8 hours of it )
So we get another typical cod campaign, the story is great, altho not at the same level as Black Ops 2 was, your choices do not impact the ending, in fact the campaign is preety much all linear. Graphics are the best the franchise has ever seen, and so are the audio effects, also gameplay has been refined to be extremely fast paced and enjoyable. Kevin Spacey’s performance is incredible, at some points the engine is struggling to keep up with his performance, making you wish Sledgehammer would have used live action cutscenes instead of CGI. The campaign is overall a great experience, if not a bit too short, they could have expanded on it and made it longer, it has some plot holes and rushed moments.

Call of the annual Duty - Underdeveloped Lagfare
I’ve been a huge fan of the Call of Duty franchise when Modern Warfare hit the stores. For years I’ve been playing pretty much nothing else and dumped hundreds, if not thousands of hours into it. I also played Modern Warfare 2 & 3 but it wasn’t the same for obvious reasons. Since then I wanted to buy another CoD that could bring back the nostalgia. Then Advanced Warfare comes along and actually gets a lot of good reviews and I get curios: Another studio, a longer delevopement time and fast dropping prices.

Battle Grounds III
This might be particularly long but… Who cares.
Cons:
-
Poor graphics by today’s standards
-
Mic spam (sometimes)
-
Physics aren’t amazing
-
Community can be cancerous - like most online games to be fair.
-
Servers aren’t so populated (they are populated currently due to its Steam release but I can’t see it staying like this -
would like to be proven wrong in some aspects
Pros:
- Community can be fantastic - events such as sieges, line battles and clan/regiment matches can be great when organised properly

I spawned in the game, everyone i see in front of me is wearing redcoat uniforms, this must be the British army, they all proceed to make a straight line with each other, one of the redcoats is at the front of the line, using his strong voice to order the redcoats to move out and follow him in a neat line formation.
We continue to move over some hills and in the distance we can see a group of 20 silhoutes standing still, all of a sudden we hear a blasting sound and one by one redcoats are falling in front of me, our commander orders the line to stop and face the silhoutes, and orders our line “Make ready…. Take Aim….. FIREEEE” and just like that we shoot off a incredible volley that is deafining, smoke all over the front of us. and again in the distance the silhoutes are coming closer, we see they are wearing blue uniforms, its the American continental army! they are charging straight toward us with their bayonets attached, our commander orders us to fire another volley, and we see the americans are dropping like flies, but continue onwards anyway.

Call of Duty has been one of, if not the most well known franchise in gaming this past generation and last. The franchise has been in decline quality wise after the release of Modern Warfare - excluding maybe Black Ops 2 - which leads to the release of one of the weakest entries (Both Single Player and Multi Player) in the franchise yet. From the get go, you’ll notice this game was built by Infinity Ward on the grounds of pure arrogance. This game is the very definition of “Bare minimum”.
Call of Duty: Ghosts stars a few protagonists, main one being Logan Walker - and the world they live in after a devastating Orbital Strike after a space station was hijacked. The story follows a special assault squad that go by the name of “Ghosts” and the brother’s entry to said Squad as they fight to take control of the US again.

Get Packed: Fully Loaded
This is the definitive co-op mayhem game! If you like chaos, mayhem and laughing with friends and family this is the game for you!
I played the hell out of this on Stadia. Now that it is no longer laggy as its STEAM it is even better. The controls are easy on a controller.
My Wife and I love playing it couch Co-Op, Lots of Easter Eggs and references to pop culture through out.
There is a solo mode but note you wont be able to do all the challenges - this is defiantly a co op focused game. Fun Solo, Crazy fun together!

Great party game !
-
Don’t necessarily have to play with friends - single player mode is just as fun. (especially destruction)
-
Great replayability for multiplayer, lots of ‘versus’ levels in addition to regular levels.
-
Nice soundtrack, songs are catchy.
-
Love the simlish-esque speak of the characters and cut scenes.
-
A variety of customisation options for characters (would always love to see more tho ;) )
Overall a fun game to play alone or with friends, only issues i had were due to my poor internet connection.

Ready or Not
Ready or Not is an intense, tactical, first-person shooter that depicts a modern-day world in which SWAT police units are called to defuse hostile and confronting situations.
Realism First
VOID interactive has consulted with police teams globally to create rules of engagement and a scoring system that are both challenging and realistic. In order to push the bar further with realism, Ready or Not models ballistic penetration, ricochet, kevlar and plate dynamics, as well as projectile expansion and momentum.
Robust and natural controls
Explore a deep and involved weapon handling and player maneuvering system, geared towards providing officers with an unprecedented level of control over their situational effectiveness. Ready or Not utilizes a simple and organic control scheme which won’t have players fumbling around, forgetting dozens of key bindings.
Planning system
Organize an approach and strategize through floor plans and mission briefs, then execute the mission in real time. Officers can decide to deploy with items such as ballistic shields, door rams, tactical ladders, and much more. Swat units can also choose to enlist personnel to assist with the situation, including sniper teams and negotiators.
Command your team
Team leaders will command a smartly designed team of AI officers in single player.
Diverse modes
Bring order to chaos online with friends through a tactical cooperative experience, lead a crack team of AI-driven swat members in a solo, story-rich campaign, or battle a rogue organization in a fierce and competitive multiplayer environment.
Intelligent customization
With access to over 60 unique items, players are given the tools to tackle any situation. The right combination of weapon optics, muzzle modifications, magazine types and foregrip variations gives an officer the edge in combat. Alternatively, load up with plates and heavy armor to prevent a quick end, at the expense of agility. Officers can also personalize their unit with team-specific patches and uniforms.
Far Cry® 5
Gave up FPSs years ago. Had no interest in head sets, COD, and perhaps I’m getting a little old. Played every Doom 1, 2, Final, Ultimate, 64, 3. Quakes through 4, Unreal 1-2 plus Tournament 99. All Half Lifes. COD 1-2. FC 1 and 3 (2 is the only game I’ve ever played that gives me motion sickness). All Painkillers, all Sams. With the exception of Doom 3, I loved all of these above games. There’s a few more in the past like MoH, Sin, Daikatana, etc. but you get the point. If you’re reading this you’ve played them all too. Now all I play are RPGs, roguelikes and the occasional met-vania that actually lives up to the “genre.”

Yeah!
I did my time, and I want out
So effusive fade, it doesn’t cut
The soul is not so vibrant
The reckoning, the sickening
Packaging subversion
Pseudo sacrosanct perversion
Go drill your deserts
Go dig your graves
Then fill your mouth with all the money you will save
Sinking in, getting smaller again
I’m done, it has begun
I’m not the only one
And the rain will kill us all
Throw ourselves against the wall
But no one else can see
The preservation of the martyr in me
