Soulestination
surprisingly fun
hard mode is very difficult. It forces you to get good to advance. but it’s still very doable. A puzzle with a thousand possible moves. a good challenge.
It’s very much more of a puzzle game than an RPG, but it’s still like an RPG in that any advantage you earn you keep
Also the undo button is great. You can go back about 30 fights. Great for testing a course of action
First I played on hard mode. It was pretty great for a while, but midway through the second zone it started to get really slow, because I was struggling to find ways to proceed without dying. I thought “well, it was fun while it lasted. I definitely got my money’s worth out of it already.” and was about to just be done with it. But then I thought I’d try normal mode instead. Started over on normal, and it definitely went a lot faster. But it turned out to be too easy after having played hard. I had literally 10x as much health saved up by the time I got to where I stopped on hard mode. No risk at all. But! the second run gave me some ideas. So I started over again on hard, and this time did better. made better use of my resources, and was able to save up a little more. and it paid off. Was enough to let me keep going.

This game is brilliant! Alot of fun if you like strategic/puzzley RPG games.
This was my first ever “Magic tower” game and i enjoyed it thorougly, its amazingly well designed, great music too!
The price is super cheap for what you get if you ask me, i think this game would easily be worth 5$.
The dev was also kind enough to help me with my savefile personally when i made a mistake that couldnt be undone.
I rate it 8.5/10

Intro
Japanese Romaji Adventure is an educational game that is teaching you romaji, the Japanese language that is written in alphabet. Set in the 1800s, you are to travel between regions in Japan, trying to explore what the country has to offer. Note that my knowledge of Japanese only comes from watching animes, so this review will be based on that.

Winds Rhapsody
This is a short game (3h) with a lot of potential. It is nice for beeing free, but so far it is nothing special. Nevertheless I am looking forward for more.
There must be more to discover and more to upgrade. Plus the right motivation. I like to have some freedom, like a discover mode and a fight mode …

I really enjoy this game and the story lines so far. The only problem I have is having to wait for the bar to refill just to make a choice of attack, special, and so forth. Other than that, it’s great and hope a new update for it comes very soon.

Singularity: Tactics Arena
I bought this game mostly because I had money in my wallet and I saw it in my recommended queue and thought it looked interested.
I’m very glad I did. It’s core gameplay is very similar to other RPG tactic type games, and if you’ve ever played one I wouldn’t expect anything game changing, but it is very competently done. You level up, apply three point per level to a selected stat and choose a skill to learn. These skills are usually either, buffs, ranged attacks or melee attacks with some movement type skills sprinkled in. At Level 6 you get to choose a class focus.

Singularity: Tactics Arena is a combat-focused tactical RPG set in a cyberpunk/fantasy/cosmic horror setting, built with one of those RPG Maker type tools. So while RPG Maker veterans will presumably see a lot of stock graphical assets and open-world RPG fans looking for an alternative to, say, Pillars of Eternity might dislike the very straightforward mission-based structure (a multi-room hub area and 20 well-designed combat scenarios), I feel anyone looking for a well-written story in a compelling sci-fi/supernatural setting will enjoy this game a lot.

The Legend of Bean
The Legend of Bean is a rather good RPG/adventure game on the RPGMaker format.
Not quite innovative, especially the storyline, but with a fair gameplay. At no point I felt lost like not knowing where to head to.
I appreciate that after the main quest is completed you can still travel through the whole game world in order to defeat other bosses and eventually get a 100% achievements.
I don’t care if the grammar isn’t perfect, I’m not expecting the same language level as in a book. Dialogues are perfectly understandable and that’s enough for that kind of games.

The Legend of Bean is a nice, short and funny little RPG-Maker game.
While the English tranlation is poor, it’s still understandable and quite funny. The game comes at a cheap price and is worth what it’s asking for.
You play with a group of three people, and the battle system is quite uniqe. It’s fast paced, so you can do the battles really quickly. It took me about 9 hours to finish the game. After clearing the main story, you can still keep on playing, fighting some newly spawned bosses, some of them a little challenging. The good thing is, you don’t need to grind a lot, there is a merchant that sells big bags of experience!
