Motor Assailant: Prologue

The game looks great, but the timer is a bit too tight, and the first boss is way too hard. Loved the intro movies!

A great 20 year old game that was fire back in the early 2000s. I can definitely recommend it as the graphics, ambient sound and gameplay are really good for such an old game.

All the known bugs such as: stuttering and freezing can be fixed easily. Playing around with the game’s configuration turns the game into a smooth experience.

Even the Multiplayer PVP seems to run pretty well, as I was playing it with my brother a few days ago.

Great Game!

the landscape graphics pretty much suck but - hey this is old school and the game-play is fun up to a point - the mutations are very minor most of the time. I’m not sure the smart one is any smarter than the other three characters but - played this 20 years ago and still get a kick out of it

Interesting combination of racing (you have to reach the end of the level before time runs out) and shoot ‘em up, although neither part is really prominent. You will rarely lose a level because of a timer if you just don’t stop moving forward, and the fighting part of the game only becomes interesting on bosses (which are quite different from the main game and could be really challenging sometimes).

Could be fun for speedrunning, most of the time I’ve played it I was trying to optimize my time on certain levels that I liked the most. But don’t think about it as a racing simulator. When you try to go fast your car feels more like a rocket ship, so maybe this game will fit wonky physics simulator lovers more than racing lovers.

I like this game. It’s a fun little wave-based shooter, and it runs really well with no bugs or technical issues. This game is more than worth the asking price, and I definitely recommend it. If you like wave-based FPS games check it out.

The Patcher: The 1st Open Beta

The Patcher: The 1st Open Beta

“The Patcher” is a full-scale tactical multi-player action VR game.

Be strong! Be ambitious!

You must choose a faction – either ‘Junkmol’ or ‘Skymagg’ – as a Patcher of the Neo JS City. By fighting numerous battles, you will obtain weapons, revamp them, and gain experience. Every weapon and skill have degree of proficiency as you play, so you’ll get stronger as you level up.

Hybrid Multi-play

Don’t forget that you’re one of the factions, even if you fight against monsters on the battlefield. Cooperate with your fellow Patchers! If you succeed in defeating a mighty monster with others, you might get a chance to obtain a rare item. However, when you come across an opponent of the other faction, it’s best to attack right away or retreat and bring in your allies. Your instant decision is critical in each battle.

Various Game Modes

The war between two factions ends only when one side ultimately falls. Get ready for the best result!

  • ‘Deathmatch’: Create a party to fight the other faction.

  • ‘Conquest War’: Occupy the enemy’s territories for as long as possible, by any means.

  • ‘Boss Raid’: Defeat the giant boss with your party members. However, you’re not the only hunters there. Compete with the other faction for the throat of the boss.

Strategic Action Combat

Since the past, the Patchers have fought strategically with three weapons: a sword, gun, and bow. Of course, each weapon has its own characteristics, but you must find which one works best for you and become skillful at using it. The weight, reach, accuracy, and control of each weapon is vastly different and is key to your tactics.

The Storyline of “the Patcher”

_‘Neo JS City’ was once the most beautiful city, and there was a reason for it. The upper classes wanted to get rid of anything they saw as dirty and trivial. That’s why they decided to move all the unpleasant facilities – like the sewage treatment plant and the prison – underground.

Meanwhile, some people illegally and secretly settled in these underground facilities. Their habitation was called the ‘Patch Build’, and they called themselves the ‘Patchers’.

But the environment around the Patch Build was more severe than they expected. Survival got harder and harder. This caused a rupture in the community. Some said pioneering a new land for a better future was be the way to go. Others wanted to stick to the existing land and refine what they already had.

Now, you must follow one of them – and choose your fate!_

Engineer and mod crops, tools, gear and weapons!

Create your own strands of plants to grow on your whale farm and optimize your crop builds according to preferences/playstyle. Modify weapon creatures with a wide variety of submods, change your tools performance for specific tasks and even alter your own body with bio-engineered symbionts.

Fresh farming in a fresh setting!

Explore the surface of the whale across its season-like life cycle of continuous death and rebirth. Use your multitool in skill-driven minigames to clear cancerous overgrowth, infected feather trees and mineral crustations. Grow self-made crops on the hex-skin of the whale and discover hidden interactions between plants, tiles and native vegetation.

(A system inspired by Permaculture, a real life concept about crop synergies.)

Juicy dungeon crawling!

Explore the different anatomic regions of the whale and fight various diseased cells, constructs and hardlight entities that have turned against their host. Use a wide variety of modable weapon creatures, both for melee and ranged combat. Make use of your Vet-Suit’s superior mobility and manage suit energy to charge shields and weapons.

Streamlined UI and Mechanics!

  • Universal tesseract inventory! No need to search through a dozen chests to find that one piece of gold ore.

  • Your whaler tool is a single item that adapts to tasks you want to carry out, but can still be upgraded in individual areas.

  • The time management aspect of the farming portion of the game does not interfere with the other core mechanics. Dungeon crawling only advances time when clearing a room and time of day pauses completely while moding gear, giving you the freedom to experiment and exploring possible builds at your own time.

  • I hope you like smells cause the game constantly tells you the current odor of your surrounding! (with more gameplay implications in the future).

Phoenix Point: Year One Edition

Phoenix Point: Year One Edition

Been following this game since announcement, could only buy it recently

Not as polished or filled with content as reboot XCOM titles and has a lot of balance issues, but i like it, i hope devs will keep on supporting the game.

The biggest difference from other x-com-like games is that you can aim at different body parts similar to fallout’s VATS system, effectively letting you disable individual bodyparts of enemy units or strike the least protected spots to maximize damage as guns fire projectiles and not just mimick that feel, making cover work as actual cover and not just decrease a chance to hit and damage received

Real player with 344.1 hrs in game

Phoenix Point is an evolution of the turn-based tactics genre. The free-aim system allows the player the control to make meaningful decisions in placement and in utilizing the soldiers rather than praying to RNG-esus to give us a good roll. Snipers don’t miss shots right in-front of their faces, there are no ‘99% but whoops it missed!’ moments. For this alone it’s a worthwhile and substantial upgrade to classic tactics games.

The over-world is on par with X-Com 2 with the player moving from point to point looking for cities and supplies in addition to trading opportunities. The great bulk of the player’s time in the over-world should be spent either moving to a mission or moving between havens to trade resources. One of the major missed elements of Phoenix Point, and what I see giving players an endless amount of consternation is in finding enough resources to make it through the game. I’ve also noticed the achievement for ‘Trading 10,000 Resources’ is also under 10%.
