Deported: Drain the Swamp

Deported: Drain the Swamp

It’s difficult for me to write an unbiased review, any games from Crankage Games are worth it just for the dialogues alone. Heck I’d play this just to read the cutscenes' lines. If you’ve played anything from Crankage Games before, you know what to expect. If you haven’t, what are you waiting for? They’re fun and they’re cheap.

This one is an arcade, old school gameplay. If you like a fun game without pretensions, just something fast and fun to play, give Deported a shot.

Today on my way home from work i stopped into a petrol station and snagged myself a chocolate bar for £1.15. I ate it in the car in just under 4 minutes, i enjoyed it. It probably did not do me any good but in the long term it wont have done me any harm.

When i got home i snagged a copy of Deported: Drain the swamp for 79p, i finished it in about half an hour. much better value than chocolate, and it was funny so it might of helped shed the choclate from my belly due to the light exercise of laughing.

On The Earth Shift :)

On The Earth Shift :)

“On the Earth Shift :)" is a VR resource management game / romantic experience about doing your silly alien job while your silly alien fish friend watches.

Your silly alien job is, as the title would imply, taking care of the Earth! It is your job to ensure that all aspects of Earth life flourish in perfect harmony, including global temperature, the horniess of the population, and the desire to dominate / submit to one another.

However, alien management from Glorf-31 have their own ideas on how Earth should be managed, such as Snarglarff Sneet, obsessed with extracting value from Earth, Elgore Smankoff, who wishes to perform sick experiments on the planet, and Mire Oodle, who just wants a friend, along with many others. It is your job to accept or deny their requests, as the world’s fate hangs in the balance,

Great mysterious atmosphere and pleasing pixel art. Puzzles are simple in concept, but get harder as the game goes on. Very satisfying to complete a puzzle. One slight critique is that the animation of an obelisk coming out of the ground is cool, but gets a little tiresome waiting through it every other time a puzzle is complete. Wish you could skip past it after the first one (with something like a click), but not a dealbreaker by any means. Overall fun little puzzle game.

Locomotion

Locomotion

Locomotion perfectly scratches that puzzleing itch. Difficulty curve is just right, new elements are introduced gradually and the combination of these elements is neatly done. Most puzzles have simple solutions but they are not always easy to find. On top of that there are nice visuals and fitting music.

It took me about six hours to finish all 52 levels of the game. However, one to two hours of that went into three or four puzzles that really had me dumbfounded.

All in all, Locomotion is a really well designed railway puzzler. Definite recommendation from me (even for 8,15 €).

in locomotion you guide a train to the exit, ideally picking up all the gold scattered around the levels while you’re at it. there’s also a narrative to unfold with some unexpected twists. don’t expect too much, but it’s fine for a puzzle game.

Time Flipper

Time Flipper

Time Flipper is an adventure / exploration game set in a hidden dimension, similar to Earth. Using your time-flip device, you can switch between two world states, past and future. Your objective is to locate missing people that have been abducted by alien entities. Find them and convince them, through dialog, to come with you. Get to know their story, how they got kidnapped, and how some of them aren’t even aware of their situation. The people you rescue will follow you through the level, get them to safety so they can go back home. In the process you, and your followers will get attacked by the entities, be careful!.

Rely on your time-flip device to navigate through the level, find hidden passages, items, missing people. Discover once for all the reality behind these abductions, and what it means for mankind. All this is accompanied by a superb dynamic soundtrack that changes depending on the world’s state.

Key Features

  • Rich world to discover, 5 islands to explore, navigate the world map using your spaceship, and enter the levels by docking on the islands.

  • Through dialog, know the story of every person you rescue, they may even help you as you progress!

  • Find hidden relics throughout the world and add them to your book!

  • Engage in combat without using any weapons, protect yourself with the environment and find weapons for your companions to defend you.

  • Clear the path for your companions to follow you using your time-flip device.

With the press of one button, flip between timelines, back and forth, at anytime.

Locate the prisoners in the hidden dimension, but there’s a problem, they don’t know they’re prisoners, you need to talk them out of their state, so they follow you!

The kidnappers won’t let you go easily, their motives are not clear but their hostile actions are!, however, due to the inter-dimensional law you cannot attack them back!

Switch between timelines to find your path, hidden objects, prisoners and many weird stuff. You know, typical Time Flipper stuff.

A very chill game, in the coloring pixels by numbers/letters form. Similar to the very popular coloring pixels & coloring game franchises, with a unique art style which relies on science fiction and cyberpunk representations.

Very nice pics and animations, plays better with your own music and at your own pace. Very engaging and addictive, can keep you for tens of hours stuck on the monitor. Totally recommended (bought the DLC’s!).

I love the game. Very slick presentation, and a nice range of ‘space’ type pictures to fill in. Sure hope they bring out more planets on a regular basis. Excellent game. 9.5/10
