Alien AI
Keep in mind this is an “early access” game being developed by the good folks at GridSkyGames. This is pretty much a “cat and mouse” game between you and A.I. drones. Having to navigate areas in search for items all the while your food, water and health bar tick down. With limited resources to replenish those bars. At first glance I had issues with some of the mechanics, mostly getting stuck on just about everything. Since the patch game play has felt better, not sure if game mechanics were improved or if I just choose to avoid getting close to anything. The graphic are good complete with atmosphere effects. The voice actress is good but the script still needs a rewrite to pull the player into the story more. This is a game were quick thinking strategy comes into play. You won’t have time for waiting or walking and barely any time for a look around. Be quick enough and you’ll make it to the A.I. base where you’ll lend a hand to the evil A.I. demise.

I am unable to find berries so I keep dying. I was able to drink from stream, but without berries I keep dying. After dying I have to go back to beginning. VERY annoying!!!

Welcome
Seekers is a multiplayer survival horror game where any moment could be your last. You take the role of a Seeker, a unit sent in before anyone else with a focus on reconnaissance missions. An Insect-like alien species has been spotted in a smaller farmland community surrounded by dense forest and wheat fields. The local population has perished due to the infestation. While the area has been closed off from the rest of the world there are tasks that need to be completed within the boundaries to contain the spread and save lives; though many will be lost in the process.

In reality if you are badly injured you will not get the same life saving care on the field as you would at a hospital; so we have incorporated this into the game. If you are shot the time you have left to live will be short, your life may be prolonged with field treatment but you may experience pain and still die. However you will live for much longer than without treatment and can be fully healed when your team extracts.

HORROR TALES: The Astronaut
Set in a fictional Space Station and taking place just after an incident in such space station, players experience terror directly in first person while they solve environmental puzzles (including physics-based puzzles and 0 gravity puzzles) in an interconnected space station with a metroidvania style level design. The air is running out and the power of the space station is running low. Will you survive?
But be aware: the space station is not uninhabited and it’s guts hides creatures and other biological entities no one would like to cross paths with.

Inbound UFO
This game is brilliant! Many cool new things that made me spend a lot of time ingame. I usually don’t write reviews but as a tower defense fan and not finding enough reviews on this one, I had to say that it really brings some novelty on the genre (I had to re-think all my strategies learned in other TDs).
I like how the enemy is fighting with me, they struggle to bring my towers down :D, very nice animations and there is something interesting and addictive with the AI that I can’t pinpoint exactly.

Recursive Hate - Spider Hell
Fantastic concept. So simple yet so addicting.
I’d seriously try to get some backing for this if I were you. With the right support this game could be huge. I’d ditch the ‘bunny’ models, build a proper town map (just 1 level would be good to show in a pitch). Houses you can enter. Breakable glass/wood etc. The void area where you go up and down the ramps adds a lot to the tension too. Maybe have ladders for some houses since walking up a ramp and seeing the spiders slowly being revealed works great. So it would work with ladders too, not knowing if there is a spider on the roof, or some hills.

This game is exactly what it says. Spiders. I can not explain how much I love this game. Its simple, its fun, it is spooders. The momma spooders have an adorable butt wiggle. The tiny baby spooders are precious.
My only complaint, is that it doesn’t need the option to limit waves. Im not here to win, Im here to spooder it up. 10/10 will play again. (Super excited for multiplayer)

Close Contact is a fun little sci-fi horror game, the alien is scary and the screams it makes are terrifying. The game has a wonderful soundtrack and the visuals/aesthetics are stunning. While the game only takes around an hour to complete if you rush through, you can easily spend another hour reading the various panels dotted around the station for additional lore or listening to the voice logs scattered about.
I would definitely recommend this game if you are a fan of the genre and for the price its a no-brainer.

Close Contact is a game about avoiding close contact. Very 2020.
But it all honesty, It’s a short little horror game that I really enjoyed.
The main mechanic of having to close your eyes is unique and the world building around the use of holograms to facilitate navigation was interesting. It’s just the little things like the employees complaining about too many holo-cats that make the world feel that little bit more special.
The music is also amazing, as to be expected with games from this developer. The landing sequence brought back memories of the first Mass Effect and it really helped set the tone for exploring the unknown.

I wanted to love you baby, I needed to love you but you took my heart and you smashed it. Defending yourself with a security app against alien invaders? mmmm. A well fleshed out house with a secret bunker? mmmmmmmmmmmmMMM. Discovering that your son has some kind of weird, loud, sensual relationship with glowing goo all over his room!? MMMMMMMM! Time/action based triggers required to progress the game…Well now you fucking lost me.
