This is a stealth horror game. If you compare it to Alien Isolation VR on Monstrum VR, you will be sorely disappointed. It’s a mobile VR quality game that is priced at $13 USD for some mysterious reason. The graphics are ugly, the lighting is poor, the 3D models & animations are substandard, the sounds are just barely okay, the interactions are poor, and the gameplay is too basic with confusing enemy AI.

EXCELLENT SOUND DESIGN

The game is simple but very frightening, you need to collect supplies and only have a torch to find your way. Reminds me of old horror titles like SCP and Slender Man. Game is VERY dark, which adds to the fear-factor, but can be a strain on the eyes, but the thing that REALLY makes this game scary is the incredible sound design and atmospheric noises. However, I would wait for the price to drop before purchasing.

The Day They Came

The Day They Came

So I was really curious about this game, sadly the developer got a little excited and released this game way too early.

The game has no enemies, no options menu, no way to exit the game or instructions.

Once you chop down some trees that fall and then spaz out due to some crazy physics all you can do is access a build menu that let’s you create some walls, steps, floor, door, base and I couldn’t use the floor as a ceiling like it suggested.

The game has at least a 30 minute night cycle making it almost impossible to do anything, much less see.

Alien Rage - Unlimited

Alien Rage - Unlimited

“Alien Rage - Unlimited” is a great FPS game with lots of alien enemies to shoot and blow to bloody pieces.

Yes, there is a storyline to it all: In the future, humans and a race called the Vorus are both mining the same asteroid for Promethium, an extremely valuable source of energy in a world depleted of fossil fuels. In the beginning there is peace and cooperation, but then something goes wrong and carnage follows. You will figure it out as you move through the 14 levels, picking up audio logs along the way that tell of the events that led to you being sent in to mow down any and all alien opposition.

IN A WORD: MAYBE

IN SHORT:

WHAT TO EXPECT: Sci-fi themed. Old-skool-ish. Linear/corridor FPS. Tough battles. Unforgiving combat. Frustrating at times. Levelling with abilities. Poor multi-player support. Multiple playthroughs required.

ACHIEVEMENTS: VARIED. A few are glitched but completeable.

STATUS: COMPLETE.

WHEN TO BUY: ON SALE. For retro FPS fans.

O.V.N.I. Abduction

I originally down-voted due to the inability to invert the Y axis. A developer has informed that this has been fixed so I will change to a positive for now and revisit once I’ve had time to play with the new settings. I also see that they’ve added options to edit the graphics, sound, resolution, etc so that’s goo!

The way this game goes from P.T. to Earth Defense Force is funny.

Slow start, but great atmosphere. Ending was pretty meh tho.

Super short alien game at a decent price. Check it out.

Station 35

Ran into a few quirks with the ai and some interaction prompts but other than that, my friend and I had a really good time with this. I got spooked pretty good a few times but I managed to escape! It’s a pretty simple but well put together game aside from a few issues.

I love the weird stuff, especially in horror games. The kind of stuff you have to dig 40 pages into the tags to find, stuff that has 0-10 reviews. Is it good? Who knows! Station 35 is the weird stuff. Of writing, this game has one single review and I found it by digging about 40-50 pages into the horror tag. So, is it good? tl;dr, yes.

This game speaks of a passion project. It’s perfect by no means and rings with design that is amateur, but it’s very much made with love. You often hear people tell others, “why don’t you make your own game if you want X?” and it feels like someone set out to do just that with Station 35. The game reads like your classic sci-fi horror: aliens on the ship, you need to get out. To do so, you are presented with three possible exits, one on each floor of a sprawling and dark spaceship. Each exit has three items it requires, be they keys or tools or ship parts, before you can use it to escape. Each of these items is scattered randomly throughout the ship, leaving you sneaking down corridors and into rooms trying to find that damned red key card since the yellow opened the first door and this blue one won’t do the trick for the second. As you do this, you’re presented with two main hazards: the blind, docile creatures that inhabit the hangars and the roving monstrosity that prowls the ship.

The World Of Others

The World Of Others

1.8/10 - This ain’t it, chief

The World of Others is not a good game. It is hardly polished enough to constitute a game at all just yet, and I’m frankly shocked this title is not listed as Early-Access! Developer Stefan Kiel tells me he employed custom assets as well as out-of-the-box ones, so I will not call this an asset flip, but it gives off exactly that vibe.

Unreal Engine is put through its paces making the whopping 16 gigabytes of game look beautiful even on low settings, but that is by far the nicest thing about the game. Animations are alright. The sound design does not stand out, which is disappointing for a game made by a audio engineer.

Nice game!

First of all I have to say that I am very positively surprised.

I did some research beforehand and learned from the other comments that this game was only developed by one person… that’s great!

The story is quite short with 2 hours but is quite fun. It is slightly reminiscent of the beginning of Half Life.

The game is easy to recommend for the price and you can look forward to a continuation as the end is kept open.

Nice work :)
