Midnight Scenes Episode 2 (Special Edition)

Midnight Scenes Episode 2 (Special Edition)

I really like this series. After ‘The Highway’, this game is another Twilight zone inspired point ‘n click game. It’s very short, but don’t let that stop you from playing this. The artwork, music, story is great and it really plays as a twilight zone episode. I hope the developer makes more of these games… and maybe in the future he can bundle them in one game with a overarching storyline like tales from the crypt.

I had played this one last night and I saw major improvements on the developers part, what started off as a sad story quickly takes a turn for the worst for our character. I truely had fun with this one and was looking forward to playing the next one

Lightyears from Home

Lightyears from Home

Set in a solar system far from Earth, “Lightyears from Home” is a sci-fi game that puts the player in the shoes of an engineer following clues to an unknown galaxy in search of someone who had long gone missing. The story begins with the player exploring Glacier IV, a geothermal ice planet that was formerly explored by a major mining company before being abandoned due to unexplained casualties.

While a story-based metroidvania game at heart, “Lightyears from Home” will incorporate mechanics from various game genres, including survival, crafting, and RPG, to create a uniquely player-driven experience. The player faces not only the planet’s wildlife but also the environment itself, providing a constant challenge to the exploration of the game world.

After completing the game 100%, I’d like to give a review that will hopefully be beneficial to both the game devs and the potential buyers. First and foremost, I give the game a 6/10 and here’s why.

1. The game is lacking. While some of the later sections of some decent puzzle mechanics, most of the game doesn’t have much in the way of puzzles. The platforming has some potential, but lacks the polish to make it a notable indie game. As of now, I barely see a reason as to why it is considered action.

Microgravity

Microgravity

Consider VVVVVV instead.

Microgravity attempts to copy and simplify the magic of VVVVVV. It fails. Holding up or down for too long causes you change gravity twice, screwing up whatever play you were attempting and effectively ruining what might have otherwise been a perfectly mediocre game. I can’t find any way to exit the game besides force-quitting, nor is there a volume control. Unless an update improves the mechanics, hard pass on this one.

Aeon Must Die!

Aeon Must Die!

I was very excited to play this game. I normally don’t buy based on trailers but the art style got me and I think I’m in a great position to write with just over 5 hours in one sitting playing this game. The price is something you can’t complain about either. Aeon Must Die was not what I was expecting. I knew it was going to look great and I figured it was going to be like Streets of Rage. I got something a bit more tactical which makes the pacing slower but that’s not a bad thing at all for this particular game.

Now Before I start would like to say I don’t play many fighting games so for me this is game is out of my comfort zone, but I must I say I love it….

Fighting is just makes me feel like a badass plain and simple most other fighting games I’ve played never really made me feel like I was good because I couldn’t do their 900-button combo, but this is super simple and so much fun…

And there is skill involved you need to know when to parry or when to doge and then you also need to pay attention to whether you’re going to overheat or gone cold. And probably my favourite part is the fact that I can kick 7 shades of shit out of someone then throw them to the side lines at their friend all while yelling get the fuck off my screen

The Dark Side of the Moon: An Interactive FMV Thriller

The Dark Side of the Moon: An Interactive FMV Thriller

Well what I can say. I am one of those who backed Tayanna Studios for a long time and knew he would have a brilliant project to come out and I got to say.

You play as Dean Hamilton who has had his kids Ruby and Andy kipnapped and you have to find them and bring them back home but you find out it is not that simple. Dean Hamilton is played by Darren Hall who is an auteur for this project and got to give him real credit and super love on this.

This is a really good game with a great story. It mixes FMV gameplay and point & click gameplay really well. The game is really basic which could turn off people but I think it is needed especially with this story as the main focus is on the gameplay and acting.

It was a boring Friday night …

I could find nothing to watch on TV.

A friend told me about this so I peeked and then purchased.

I launched it only to make sure it ran properly :-) – it did. Then I looked up, it was two hours later, I was almost halfway through. I was hooked and quite immersed in the story.

Your children are missing:

What would you do and who would you trust?

The game page description is accurate so I won’t repeat it.

GAMEPLAY:

This reminded me of Carol Reed games, but instead of conventional movement you easily click a box to move.

Beyond Good and Evil™

Beyond Good and Evil™

About The Game

Beyond Good & Evil, published by Ubisoft in 2003. Where do I start with this game? First off, I want to say that this is a good PC port. It’s not perfect, but it gets the job done. I will explain why later. What’s the premise to this game? You play as Jade, a reporter who lives with her pig-uncle Pey’j, taking care of orphans on your lighthouse reservation. In this planet called Hillys, Hillyans fight for survival as evil DomZ, alien-like creatures, take over the planet. A combat force called the Alpha Sections has been sent to fight back the DomZ, but when the Alpha Sections fail to show up during attacks, a suspicious Jade goes undercover for a resistance force called IRIS to see what the Alpha Sections are really up to. Camera in hand, you participate in various undercover missions to expose the Alpha Sections for who they really are.

Beyond good and evil - это классическое игровое приключение, сделанное с душой, во времена когда у юбисофта еще была душа…
