Billion Beat
I love this game, the world is always in need of more Punch-Out-likes and this scratches every itch it has, and the music is insanely good.
Only thing that could drive people away is how gross the characters look but they grow on you after a while.
The combat is a lot more ‘groovy’ than Punch-Out, more rhythmesque, if you will. Feels more like dancing than it does straight up beating the shit out of someone.

Billion Beat is great. The visuals and music are on point. The gameplay follows the Punch-Out formula perfectly: time your punches and dodge or counter theirs. If you make a mistake, your character will take a bit to recover and that is more than enough time for your opponent to mess you up, so learn from coach Baby T and DON’T JUST MASH THE BUTTONS!
There’s also a bunch of stuff to keep things fresh like “hype moves”, items and even progression. Successfully landing a regular punch rewards you with a bit of energy and you need that energy to dish out the heavy punishment, so you quickly start to get into this flow of dodging and countering to build up your energy until you can finally let your hands fly.

Bought on sale. Also bought their other game, which was a mess. You see the stuff in the trailer? That happens sometimes. See the reloading? There’s no reason to move your hand like that, it just reloads like a pump shotgun. You get 11 rounds and there are no other apparent weapons, but some upgrades, and two missiles which I never found ammo for anyway. All the enemies are the same except some have a shield and some have an axe. There seem to be some hazards as well, but they are trivial. The armswinging is done poorly and there is no option to change the direction of movement (I would rather move where I’m looking that in a controller direction, since I can’t shoot backwards).

Inbound UFO
This game is brilliant! Many cool new things that made me spend a lot of time ingame. I usually don’t write reviews but as a tower defense fan and not finding enough reviews on this one, I had to say that it really brings some novelty on the genre (I had to re-think all my strategies learned in other TDs).
I like how the enemy is fighting with me, they struggle to bring my towers down :D, very nice animations and there is something interesting and addictive with the AI that I can’t pinpoint exactly.

Locomotion
Locomotion perfectly scratches that puzzleing itch. Difficulty curve is just right, new elements are introduced gradually and the combination of these elements is neatly done. Most puzzles have simple solutions but they are not always easy to find. On top of that there are nice visuals and fitting music.
It took me about six hours to finish all 52 levels of the game. However, one to two hours of that went into three or four puzzles that really had me dumbfounded.
All in all, Locomotion is a really well designed railway puzzler. Definite recommendation from me (even for 8,15 €).

in locomotion you guide a train to the exit, ideally picking up all the gold scattered around the levels while you’re at it. there’s also a narrative to unfold with some unexpected twists. don’t expect too much, but it’s fine for a puzzle game.

Microgravity
Consider VVVVVV instead.
Microgravity attempts to copy and simplify the magic of VVVVVV. It fails. Holding up or down for too long causes you change gravity twice, screwing up whatever play you were attempting and effectively ruining what might have otherwise been a perfectly mediocre game. I can’t find any way to exit the game besides force-quitting, nor is there a volume control. Unless an update improves the mechanics, hard pass on this one.

Swarm Queen
So, I discovered the free version of this game on Armor Games/Kongregate, but Adobe Flash is garbage and I wanted a better experience, and I wanted to support the indie developer, so I bought the game here and am beating it again! Very fun, a little crude and simplistic, but it has complexity and challenging difficulty in its own way. Would definitely recommend!
Swarm Queen’s gameplay is pretty straight-forward (though actually quite nuanced); you play, well… a swarm queen! And other swarm queens typically don’t take kindly to you - so you try to murder each other for survival and space. Spawn harvesters, develop eggs, hatch creatures, spew acid, even grow more organs, and take down your enemies… before they can take down you. Each level has its gimmick, and it may take a few tries to figure out how to get through it….. and then you can try it on hard mode :D

a simple, easy to learn game that is simultaneously challenging. each level is different to the last and consistently requires you to change up your strategy prior and during battle as the enemy adapts in accordance to how you play. this can lead to some pretty lengthy and intense tug of wars that you don’t find very often in other games. although it’s pretty lacking in content once you finish the main levels, there’s some bonus levels that are fun to play, as well as upgrades to give yourself an advantage in battle. definitely recommend for those looking for a good strategy game.

Alien Rage - Unlimited
“Alien Rage - Unlimited” is a great FPS game with lots of alien enemies to shoot and blow to bloody pieces.
Yes, there is a storyline to it all: In the future, humans and a race called the Vorus are both mining the same asteroid for Promethium, an extremely valuable source of energy in a world depleted of fossil fuels. In the beginning there is peace and cooperation, but then something goes wrong and carnage follows. You will figure it out as you move through the 14 levels, picking up audio logs along the way that tell of the events that led to you being sent in to mow down any and all alien opposition.
