Lifeflame Compendium

Lifeflame Compendium

Lifeflame Compendium is a WarBreedFarm RPG. These 3 main aspects of the game co-exist in an equilibrium that revolves around Lifeflame.

Lifeflame is a resource that enables entities to live, and is therefore the main driver for all creatures that want to stay alive. Players and NPCs alike gain Lifeflame by eating and drinking, herbivores start by foraging while carnivores must rely on hunting.

Both plants and animals age and then breed, passing on their traits to their descendants and giving way for the next generation.

With time, farming becomes the most efficient way to produce food, and together with crafting, civilization begins to develop to more advanced stages.

Prosperity, however, always precedes times of war, especially when resources grow plenty on one side and scarce on the other, giving rise to great clashes of swords and magic.

You will come to life onto this interconnected world, learn how to harness its resources and thrive in moments of peace, war, passion, mystery, adventure and romance!

Behind the Horizon

Behind the Horizon

I’ve been enjoying this game a lot. It has quests, farming, animals, magic, crafting etc. You get to explore a pretty big world and meet the villagers. The scenery is very pretty and it has seasons. It is a very unique game. The developer has answered questions, taken in feedback and suggestions and fixed bugs rather quickly. I am very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend this to anyone.

This is a great game.. The developer is VERY responsive and open to new ideas. and they any fix issues quickly.

Its a farming game BUT don’t expect Stardew Valley, although it has a somewhat similar loop. IE farming, explore ect, although with a “Nature” theme..

Progression can be slow at times, but blossoms after chapter 1..

Make sure you read the help F1 as it explains your tools. Use the MAP.. to keep track of possible resources.

Alchemy Story

I was a backer for this game early on, I had high hopes for it back then and if anything my hopes for it now are even higher. Yes it’s early access, so as such it has some minor bugs/glitches and in the beginning you may find yourself wandering aimlessly. But this game is pure relaxation.. and really, isn’t that why most people purchase and play these sorts of games? The art is charming and beyond cute. The characters so far show promise in terms of personality. There’s a lot of things to do, upgrade, brew and purchase considering how early on in development this game still is.

So far I find this game constantly trying to kill me with its overabundance of cuteness. If I had to describe this game, it would be the Arcane magic version of My Time at Portia (Magic instead of Engineering), with the small town aesthetic of Stardew Valley, with a super cute Harvest Moon/Animal Crossing art style. As the game is in early access, this review may not always be up to date, but I’ll update when needed for new viewers.

Pros:

The inventory system is pretty easy to get used to and best of all no limits to weight or stack, to my knowledge

I love this game but it’s still buggy. I hope that new and bigger updates will soon be released. I find the progress of update releases to be very slow. I’m starting to lose hope that it will ever be updated.

I love this game, it’s beautiful. I love the farming, mining and all the activities you can do within the game. Even though it’s early access I’m in love with it. It is rather buggy, since I have played multiplayer the entire time, my friend gets disconnected really often and he lost all his clothes and things in his inventory so make sure you put stuff in a container before you go to sleep. Avoid opening a container someone else is using because on one occasion it let the other person access the container and the stuff I had just added got deleted. I’m sure the game will only get better in the future.

Difficult Achievement(s): No.

Intro

The farming sim genre has been on the rise recently. They usually have similar mechanics as Harvest Moon, although other games try to mix it with other genres. Seeing that Peachleaf Pirates is a combination of point and click and farming sim elements, I become curious about how the result will be, especially since both don’t seem to be similar in the control scheme.

UPDATED ***

Thanks to the developer for letting me know about the information, i now finished the game.

I really enjoyed the farming side of the game, the combat was also fun, but i found the click and point side of the game a bit repeditive, just like the last part of the game i had to criss cross the map i think 4 times just to finish in 1 day.

Overall 6/10

after 20 hours i give up on this “point and click RPG” parts of the game, its not clear at all what to do , i see multiple side quests but they aren’t logged on the journal , i spend 40 minutes to complete a quest to save a parrot only to find out it didn’t continue the story at all and only gave me a discount at a shop i no longer need to use. Another i found a “winning ticket” to a casino which wouldn’t let you into the casino and i assume its for voodoo but the voodoo woman has dissappeared. Once this game has a properly designed walkthrough to help you when you get stuck this game is a big thumbs down. I really was enjoying all of the other elements of the game but the “point and click problem solving” needs a lot more “problem solving” from the developer. A hint system or something and ad all the minor things to quests and let us know what actually moves the story forward and what is a side quest like the parrot mission.

Brocula

Brocula

Brocula is a pixel art indie game created by a solo developer. The game is about a vampire named Brocula who has been asleep for 500 years and is woken up when a car crashes into his castle.

You play the role of Brocula whose money is useless in current times and his castle is crumbling. Roam around the town, talk to people, work to get money, gain skills, repair castle, cook food to gain stats, unlock new skills, make a reputation, farm lands, sell stuff, etc.

With over 40 hours of relaxing gameplay and an interactive storyline about creating relationships with unknown people, enjoy the beautifully crafted pixel art and fall in love with this vampire whose name is Brocula.

Enjoy the petting system in the game and gain their trust.

It is not a Role Playing Game without the fishing mechanics.

Farm Fatale

Although there isn’t much in the game it is still really fun.

Real player with 2.4 hrs in game

Farm Fatale is a farm based Battle Royale game and more than just weird. The twist of this game is, that it plays on a farm and all shot opponents turn into animals (horses, pigs, chickens or foxes), who wildly run around the map, creating a total chaos. The animals can not be taken out directly, and if they find some human essense (dropped by other killed players), they can respawn as regular players on the map again. I found it pretty frustrating, that the criteria for a final elimination are completely unclear, because the player count is going to drop throughout the game, but there is no apparent way how players can influence this after downing players and turning them into animals.

Farm Dungeons

Farm Dungeons

Farm Dungeons was a fun experience. At a glance, it appears to be another piece of rpgmaker shovelware, but it further investigation will show that this game has time and effort put into it.

For years, I thought that a dungeon-crawling farm simulator would be amazing! The closest I have found to such a game is the Rune Factory series, which is really fantastic, but not quite what I have searched for. When I found this game, I decided to give it a shot.

Pros:

  • The Dungeon is well balanced and fun to explore.

Short and sweet Indie made with RPG Maker MV -

There’s farming, cooking, pets, and item crafting (through merchants) and repeatable bosses which is a nice spin on the traditional JRPG fare.

Bonus points for allowing The Dog to not only join the party, but lead it (if you put them first in the roster). You will gain multiple party members and can swap them at the beginning of a round without sacrificing an action; combined with auto battle (basic attacks only) this meant a minimal grind while also making the back benchers relevant to buff or debuff.

Overview

This game does the bare minimum of everything it claims to have. Some things in the games ‘About’ are rather disingenuous to this as well; this is the inspiration in creating an extensive and spoiler-free review. The combat, farming, quests, dialog and environments are the same exact cliches as every other game of this type. Everything felt uninspired and dry. All in all this had a feeling of being an early access game where all major mechanics were present but had yet to be fleshed out. Many games fall into this category, and a lot of them make up for it by being charming or unique in some niche- this game does not.
