Farmtale
I didn’t quite expect to be re-reviewing this game, but I am glad I am able to give this game a positive review. After about a year of near radio silence from the devs, they updated the game, keeping the main gameplay loop of the old version, but adding quite a few new features and overall just made the game a much more enjoyable experience. If you had this game a year ago and are wondering if you should return to it, I’d definitely say yes. For anyone who never played the original version, but is looking for a short and sweet (roughly 20 hour) experience that combines both idle and base building gameplay, I’d say give it a go. The devs seem like they now intend on routinely updating the game, and as of this review that have been following through with their promise. One last thing before I end this review, if you do end up getting the game, you get to experience pretty much everything you can do in the game before you pass the two hour refund mark, so if you don’t enjoy it in the first two hours, you can know you probably won’t enjoy it and vis versa. I left my original review below if you’re interested on why I originally rated the game negatively.

Fairly small and uncomplicated idle game.
Progress can be sped up by manually clicking, but it functions quite well on its own for quite a long time before more upgrades are needed to make more progress.
My one big problem with the game (at the time of release; this is an early access) is that there isn’t enough information behind some of the upgrades. Some upgrades will state a percentage, but not telling me if the bonus is additive or multiplicative with other upgrades on the same building. Speed increase upgrades are equally secret. No information on whether it reduces time by percentage or seconds. This makes it difficult to discern which upgrades are worth going for.

Plantera 2: Golden Acorn
The round blue Mellows return to tend to the garden once more and grow the big magical oak tree that have been rumored to have placed its seed there. Build up your garden around the tree to attract Mellows, round blue creatures that will help you pick up things and harvest your plants.
Tend to the oak tree and grow it to the sky to harvest its Golden Acorns.
Adorn your garden with decorations and watch as your garden grow more lush than ever before with new plants, bushes and trees and get populated by new animals, both in the sea, on the ground and in the sky.
If you want you can pluck trees and harvest plants yourself, or let your Mellows do the work for you while you watch or build and invest in new plants. The Mellows will even continue to work and tend to the garden while you are not playing the game!
As you play you will unlock new items and as you continue to expand and improve your garden your magic oak tree will grow even bigger with it, soon reaching its crown to the sky and beyond!

Plantera
This is a cute, psuedo-clicker that is extremely simple compared to many of the other titles in the Clicker genre. Everything goes together very nicely. The only problem is that it’s mostly a quest to complete the achievements, and then there isn’t much to do. The garden gets maxed out. The upside is that it doesn’t require micro-transactions (I’m looking at you, Clicker Heroes, Adventure Capitalist, etc) to “complete” the game.
The idea is to build a garden with 3 layers of plants (trees in back, bushes in the middle, and vegetables in the front) to harvest, as well as animals to get “produce” from, such as wool, milk, eggs, and random stuff the pigs dig up. There are various critters that will try to interrupt the farming. Wolves and foxes will scare the animals, rabbits will steal vegetables, and birds will fly away with one produce item. Obviously this has minimal impact on the overall output, and they don’t really add much except something else to look at.

Create, expand and watch your garden grown in this super addictive and totally adorable casual clicker game.
Introduction
Plantera is a simple and highly addictive clicker game, where the basic objective is to build and expand your own garden. As your garden grows, you collect more coins which allow you to further boost your garden (and coin collecting efficiency). Boosters can be bought with the coins, which allow higher value of produce, collecting coins when the game isn’t running for larger periods (I can currently leave my game for 12 hours, and come back to a large sum of coins waiting for me!), and guard dogs and scarecrows to scare away the critters trying to steal your produce! Though I’m not generally a fan of clicker games, I have really enjoyed Plantera thus far.

The Space Garden
Space Invaders version of Plantera.
It’s not an idler. Please understand the difference. This is not a game you can run while working. You can play it while watching Netflix… on a different monitor/tv, or while listening to music, or while cooking, but it stops running if you switch tabs! It doesn’t run if you close out!
8/10 Space Invaders Plantera with zombie invasions and terraforming and adding asteroid colonies. I love it to pieces.

Not bad for a game by a single person. It’s pretty solid mechanics wise. Very simple which is good as it doesn’t explain anything in the game except in pictures like helper + apple = money. Everything has little i’s on them so you can click that for simplistic help.
It’s actually fairly enjoyable. Very much a cookie clicker/clicker heroes meats gardens in space. Plant plants, get fruit, fruit gives coins, coins by better plants. Rinse and repeat basically. At first it doesn’t seem obvious how to expand from your 1st planet to another. You get a skill/buy option at lvl 9 I think it was. Every level up if you unlock something it will show a card version of it on screen for you. You get an unlock about every 2 levels until lvl 20. After that it seems to space out more and more. achievements are easy to get. I would say the pacing of the game is a little off but otherwise it’s pretty good.

Bunny Park
It’s a simple clicker/idle game, but a very soothing and cute one. Really good for zoning out after a bad day. The point is less to optimise resources (since you hit a point of having enough currency for whatever you want relatively early) and more to decorate your park and collect the bunnies over time. So while there isn’t a ton to do other than decorate and marvel, that’s its selling point, in my opinion.
The dev updates every few months with cute seasonal decorations as well, which is to be commended. You can put Santa hats on your bunnies in the Northern Hemisphere winter, for example. :)

Voodoo Garden
This little title had the potential to be a really good idle game.
Voodoo Garden lures you in with its cute art style and interesting setting that sets it apart from other similar clicker games. The premise is simple; earn gold from the creation of stereotypical voodoo-styled items that uses various ingredients (flowers, leaves, fruit, nuts and animal parts), you then use your resulting income to buy more plants, totems to attract animals and other assorted upgrades. Along the way you can purchase, raise and sacrifice a number of domestic animals to build up a work force of spirits. These spirits then aid you in the growth and collection of more plant based materials. From the outset gameplay seems simple and enjoyable (insofar as idle, clicker games go) until one begins to notice the flaws that slowly creep in. While I’ve tried my best to weigh the pros and cons of Voodoo Garden (see the very end of this review), there are, at least in my opinion three major faults in the game that demand elaboration.

When I bought Voodoo Garden I didn’t realize it was really a clicker game. That is OK though- I like clicker games. What I don’t like, however, are bad clicker games.
Unfortunately Voodoo Garden just doesn’t work for me. Some parts are ok: the art is nice and consistent, the music and sound effects are very good, and the overall vibe is nice. But the actual game is lacking in some key ways.
The game’s biggest problem is just that it is very shallow. There is very little to customize and the upgrades are few and far between. The mechanics are very simplistic and also, unlike other clicker games I’ve played, unless the game is open it doesn’t continue to collect things for you.

The Islander
At first I thought this game was a tad bit shit, with zero tutorial and a little character who does nothing but run in a confused manner around on paths you set down. But here I am, currently 33 hours into the game, trying to collect all of the awards. I did not, for one second, think that it would be that difficult to collect 28 achievements, but as the items grow higher in price, it’s suddenly very difficult. At some points you have to pay 234K for a singular chicken who will provide you with 150 coins at most. That being said, taking the price into consideration, it was not a waste of money. There is little content, with about five items in each section being slowly unlocked, yet there is enough to satisfy the small price tag.

Its a dumbed down version of the farming in stardew valley. If youve played any clicker game, Youll figure out the game in no time. Appears to be easy to ideal play once you get a cocobot or two, and is relaxing. Great for casually passing the time.
Doesnt tell you anything in terms of what to do, but like i said if youve played a clicker game, its that concept. The option menus has symbols but no text to tell you what the symbols mean. so I had to take a hopeful guess at which one was save.
The game works smooth in windowed mode, but when I put it into full screen, it because slow and choppy. And steam achievements arent progressing or popping at the moment. This may be a bug

My Little Farmies
Overall the game is very enjoyable and can keep you very busy tending to your farm, harvesting/growing crops, upgrading buildings and producing items in the various production buildings.
Once you get to level 25-30 be warned that you will be forced to spend 200 gold bars to further expand your farm to make room for more buildings, pens ect, and i can only imagine that you will have to spend 300-400 for the next and so on, so make sure you buy as many expansions using your Thalers as you can before you get stuck at this point.

I have only played for a little while, but am enjoying this game a lot. The graphics are nicely done, and the tutorial is very helpful. As I mentioned in a comment I made in one of the negative reviews, this is not a game for impatient players. You will have to wait for things to grow and to be build. I have played quite a few F2P games, and never used real money to get quicker through the game. I only ever bought starter kits and special items that you can’t find in the game otherwise.
The one thing I don’t care for in this game is that the developers, who are German, set the dates the American way, giving first the month and then the day. Very confusing for me. In Germany - as in other European countries - the date is displayed as giving first the day and then the month.
