Higurashi When They Cry Hou - Ch.6 Tsumihoroboshi
At first I’d like to say some words about the whole game in general, not just the latest 6th chapter.
I received the first 5 chapters as a gift and was constantly deferring the moment of playing them because, I have to admit, I completely misjudged the game. Looking at those cute anime like girls I thought it was going to be some light relaxing game without any actual sense in the plot, if any plot even exists in such games. Plus it’s a kinetic visual novel, my least favorite type. But I was so wrong! This series of games made me change my attitude. It had such a tremendous effect on me!

If you’re still here, willing to brave the depths of hell and human depravity after the soul-crushing Chapter 5, kudos. Well done. You have a strong soul. Since Chapter 2, we’ve gotten deep dives into the characters with each chapter putting especial focus on one particular character. In Chapter 1, Rena was kind of the star of the show, but since Chapter 1 was an overall setup of Higurashi as a whole, we never got to spend a whole lot of time knowing much about her, and she has thus far still been an elusive character we know barely anything about. This changes in Chapter 6. And ohhhhh does it deliver…

STEINS;GATE: My Darling’s Embrace
Just like the first installment in the main serie, it carries strong writing, that just absorbs your attention and makes you crave the next line to read. Not to mention the incredible VA that appears in this game, just hearing Asami Imai as Kurisu is enough to send shivers down my spine! Be aware that it can get a bit cringe during certain scenes due to the main character, Okabe Rintaro’s lack of romance experience and his inability to be honest. Every time you reach an ending your heart just bursts into a flutter of butterflies enveloping your body in a light of happiness, that will make you wanna burst out shouting “WOOHOO” at the top of your lungs! I can not recommend this game enough! Makise Kurisu’s route was more than amazing, it was simply the best! 3

I finally got around to playing this and I am so happy. So much regret for not picking it up and playing this around it’s release last Valentine’s Day. It would have been perfect!
So, for anyone wondering, this is a more slice-of-life romantic-comedy kind of spin-off for the Steins;Gate franchise. As far as prior information, I would say you would only need to know the initial story in some way in order to keep up with the plot of this game, whether that be the original VN, the anime adaptation, or the Steins;Gate Elite anime-remaster VN. Steins;Gate 0 (and of course Linear Bounded Phenogram) are not needed to enjoy My Darling’s Embrace.

Little Busters! English Edition
When you read a Key visual novel, 3 things are guaranteed: laughs, tears, and
! baseball
Little Busters! and CLANNAD are legendary visual novels made by VisualArts/Key. Key specializes in making spectacular “nakige” visual novels (a subgenre that focuses on lots of comedy and character development to make the player attached to the characters as the game transitions into very emotional scenes) and Little Busters! is among one of the best nakige stories I have read in my entire life. I would go as far as to say it is my favorite experience in reading visual novels. While I do feel CLANNAD’s After Story knocks Little Busters out of the park in terms of gut-wrenching depression, Little Busters feels like it is a more cohesive package. It still offers a highly emotional story, a higher quality OST, better comedy, and better character development. There was not a single dull moment I felt while reading Little Busters as every minute I spent reading felt as if it was made with love and quality.

“There is a secret to this world."
Do you like stories that manage to contain both a great deal of hillarious comedy and heartbreaking drama? How about a memorable cast of characters who are all well-developed and are just fun to spend time with? Perhaps some quirky minigames where “battles” are fought with whatever random objects happen to be at hand? Or perhaps a story revolving around themes such as friendship, growing up, and facing up to painful circumstances? If so, then Little Busters is the game you want to play.

Marco & The Galaxy Dragon
Note:
This review is primarily aimed towards learners of Japanese in search for some much needed reading comprehension.
Difficulty level:
Considering that this is a visual novel, our main source of story telling comes via dialogue and not via descriptions. Sentences are therefore shorter on average. In comparison to reading news articles, this might be a breath of fresh air.
I’d argue that a person with b1 fluency would have no trouble with the sentence structure or grammar points used. Albeit, some characters abuse role language and conjugate in more “archaic” ways, which might cause some trouble.

¿Have you heard about the galactic dragon?
100/10
It is the BEST visual novel I have played in years and I was really expecting this, I found it on instagram before it came out and said I need to play it.
The main story is told in many ways and in the end it takes a very VERY cute plot in different aspects, it is 9 hours of slow play
As you continue playing you take affection for each character and you can feel many feelings throughout the plot. Also its different ways of telling it as a cartoon is a 10/10 especially the end. It has many interesting xD references and several minigames inside.

I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone if you’re not literally coming from main AOKANA.
Therefore, for an expansion of a single route in a VN I will say it’s worth to buy this, and even if you didn’t like the character who is getting all the attention here I’d say that this VN for all its worth, is not a buy you’ll regret (that is if you don’t have the price inflated).
As an expansion or an ‘‘Extra’’ the new OST it’s rather fenomenal.
I can’t get over how good 皆がいるか (Mina ga Iru Kara) sounds, it’s really good, definitely the best OST in AOKANA IMO.

YOU and ME and HER: A Love Story
When I was first introduced to Visual Novels, I had no idea which ones would be to my liking until I got my hands on the novel itself. Kimi to Kanojo to Kanojo no Koi (or YOU and ME and HER) was a visual novel I found years ago and, yet, could never try. Despite how few information and videos there were of the novel at the time, I was completely hooked on what I could find and wanted even more. No matter how much I saw, it saddened me how I would not be able to play this game.
Ever since, I had hopes and believed in a small miracle that one day, I would be able to read this game. For each year that passed, that hope would diminish until I accepted it would stay where it is forever.

This game is absolutely AMAZING. At first I was skeptical. I seen it on the front page of Steam, and I seen it had the tag of Psychological horror on it. I instantly remembered playing DDLC and it got me excited. I seen the price, and was hesitant about the purchase, but honestly it’s the BEST VN game I’ve ever played! I’m not very big into VN since most seem to be absolutely trash, but I looked at reviews and seen everyone praising the Steam release. I decided to just try it, and if it didn’t go anywhere I was going to refund it.

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles
I love the AA Franchise, and this port is well done and nice to be played on chill moments. Would have liked more languages (like Italian), but the English localization is very well done and immersive. Wish there will be other ports, and am looking for some new games! Please Capcom 3

Couldn’t recommend this more if I tried, I went through these two games more quickly than Barok van Zieks could slam his leg on the table.
Great setting, very memorable characters and soundtrack, and a lot of new gameplay elements that were so much fun to go through.
The two games feel very well connected and bring up very interesting points about the judicial system in its setting, as well as cultural aspects.
I’d also like to praise the writing and the pacing of the story and character development (and there is a lot of development, trust me), the story combines a good mixture of comic relief and more serious and intense moments, much like what we were already used to in previous Ace Attorney games.

Higurashi When They Cry Hou - Ch.4 Himatsubushi
Higurashi is a mystery. There is no point in reading only one chapter, and no chapters can be skipped. I’m assuming if you’re here, you’ve read chapter the previous chapters and you want to read more. Thus, this review will just inform you about three things I feel all people getting into Higurashi should know.
One: A patch for every chapter exists to add voice acting, new portraits with lip sync, and a different OST. You can find it here: (https://07th-mod.com/wiki/Higurashi/Higurashi-Part-1 –-Voice-and-Graphics-Patch/).

It took me eight separate occasions to try and finish this game. It also took me going to an entirely different country to fully complete and even think about it. For example:
Why had it taken me so long? Why could I never seem to make it past chapter three?
I think the answer lies in the fact that this kept being advertised as a side/bonus story and I didn’t want to believe them and because I didn’t– I guess I got a little disappointed.
My first issue is that it’s a lot shorter than the other entries.

Higurashi When They Cry Hou - Ch.7 Minagoroshi
The reason why you should start the series.
Ryukishi07’s magnum opus in the series and a pinnacle of explanatory thought.
Minagoroshi will build you up, thinking you’re just out of the well, despair behind you… only to have you falling down the well again. This time, unable to return as the curtain of black completely masks your perception as you enter a new world. That to which you cannot return.

Is it something that is worth struggling for?_

I was about to give thumbs down to this one, till I saw Ryuukishi07 himself blocking my way, asking for a chat.
I personally don’t like Answers Arc to Higurashi at all for all the same reasons that most people (from those people that don’t like it) don’t. Pick any - the “friendship solves everything”, or the “girl with horns on her head that flying around doing Au au au while trying to give everything somewhat reasonable and logical explanation”, or the “why you have to spell everything that we already read again and again” (which i personally didn’t mind in this case, since I felt that author wanted to show how this the same thing isn’t actually same to what it was), or the “villain not being as good as we would want/villain lacking better motive/villain being written poorly” (last one goes to all the anime laughs that we see/hear from villain).
