Escape the Loop

Escape the Loop

What if I told you, we’ve done this before? You’ve read this text, you’ve looked at these screenshots, and you’ve watched this trailer. Not once, but a hundred times. Maybe even more. And in five minutes, you won’t remember any of it – and do it all over again.

Escape the Loop is an open-world adventure game about time and recollection. You’re stuck in a time loop – after five minutes, the world goes back to its initial state. Everything resets. You keep nothing. Except your memory of past loops. Every loop will be exactly the same, unless you change it through your actions. Use your knowledge of previous loops to find out what causes the time disruptions and break free once and for all.

A Guidebook of Babel

A Guidebook of Babel

A Guidebook of Babel is a plot adventure game with butterfly effect at the core. After death, you will soon realize you’ve boarded the Babel…and while this may feel like the twilight zone, you will be given a pen to rewrite the past so future events can unfold. As a place of transition, we care less about your final destination since it’s the journey that matters, right?

Let’s get acquainted first…

[Crew announcement] You are now onboard Babel, a giant cruise tasked with leading you to the afterlife. Take this guide with you to help navigate your new surroundings. But first, in order to properly welcome you onboard, the crew will first discharge your memories and power up the Giant Boiler to prepare for departure!

You will need to know how it works in order to complete the Guidebook adventure log:

  • Butterfly Effect

This is an unusual journey, but you’ll be able to piece everything together in the end. I hope. While you’re at it, you’ll realize you can rewind and fast forward to a point in time to rewrite the story. It’s entirely up to you to decide

  • Multiple Perspectives

Relax…everyone here is a friend of mine, so sit back and let them tell you their stories. Soon you’ll find that their separate perspectives may be intertwined.

  • Unpredictable Outcomes

The consequences of triggering the butterfly effect are utterly unpredictable as even the smallest change could drastically alter the future. With that much power in your hands, who is really telling the story here? You or me?

You may feel like you’ve landed in Bizarro World, but I assure you’ll soon find Babel an extraordinary place to be. I don’t mean to brag…but here’s what you can expect:

A series of “unfortunate” events

A story-rich adventure that takes off the moment you land on Babel. But the afterlife is not a dull place, you will soon find yourself intertwined in drama and mishaps that requires your full attention.

Comedic art style with an original soundtrack

With a touch of inspired lunacy and nostalgia, you’ll be guaranteed an immersively entertaining yet unconventional experience on the Babel.

Choices really matter

An interpretation of butterfly effect where your choices will have a rippling effect on story progression, we’re counting on you!

Light-hearted yet deserving reflection

A heart-warming adventure while exploring themes of life, death, family and letting go…

Iron Danger

Iron Danger

Extraordinary game with a wonderful combat system! I would like to call it ‘combat choreography’ at times, a delight for anyone looking for a casual adventure, because the mechanics ensure that you basically can’t loose. This inside a pearl of a story, which isn’t always conveyed the best in this game.

The story begins…

Kipuna’s hometown is under attack, and during her fled out of town, she tumbles through a gap in the pavement to an ancient forgotten temple, right upon a magical shard. The shard is pierced through her heart, and it gives her the power to turn back time 7 seconds, and to conjure firespells. A magical apparition sets Kipuna off on a quest to get the five other shards that form together the Aurolith!

It all started with the save scamming. Remember the old school role-playing titles like Baldur’s Gate? There were powerful spells that had chance to kill any enemy from one hit but the chance for it was pretty small. Now what did people do? Naturally, they used to save before the battle, tried to cast the spell and if it didn’t work, they just loaded their save and tried again. Just because it was an easy way to win and… you know how it is. People love the easy ways. Well, as long as those are not the Dark Souls fans but we’re not talking about those masochists today. Anyhow, later, when playing games in a proper way started to get completely out of fashion, publishers started to add a certain feature to their games. A feature that allowed us to “rewind” things and try again. Without even using an old school save feature. Press one button and pretend that you didn’t die a second ago. In a way, it was like watching movies on VHS. You know… VHS? That bulky thing… with tapes? The one that allowed us, old geezers, to watch movies at home before most of you, youngsters, were even born? OK, OK, I’m shutting up now, don’t be mad.

Gemini: Heroes Reborn

Gemini: Heroes Reborn

DISCLAIMER:

My review may cause minor misleading because I only able to score from the gameplay standpoint, since I’ve never had interest to follow the TV serials' storyline, yet found this game fun (and quite cheap for Unreal Engine 4 based game) :3

Combat mechanics:

Since I have piqued sci-fi as a side genre I’m interested in, I found this game enjoyable. Some enemies are harder to hit but due to powers variety you’re able to greatly mixes those into an attacking strategy. At the near end of the game you’ll be unlocking telekinesis shot (I forgot the exact name but that’s the gist) and it obviously a game changer. It’ll be much easier when facing several troublesome opponents.

Gemini Heroes Reborn is a first-person action shooter set in the Heroes universe. For anyone not aware, Heroes was a superhero drama from NBC Universal that ran for four seasons before being cancelled. It was later revived as a mini-series set in the near future. That is the timeline this game takes place. You play as Cassandra, a young woman searching for the truth about her past and looking for her family. Soon after the game starts, you begin manifesting abilities that can manipulate time as well as moving objects through telekinesis. These powers prove to be the most interesting aspect of the game.
