ADR1FT
Not recommended for: People who enjoyed Firewatch, Gone Home, and other narrative driven first person exploration games. The narrative is missable, unimportant, and underdeveloped.
Recommended for: People who fantasize about being isolated in space, and possibly have VR. I played without VR, I imagine it’s quite immersive. People who like meditative busy work games that have very little challenge.
Review: There is a charm to this game, if you like games to be a sort of meditation, for all it’s problems I still kept playing it till the end. Maybe it was just listening to someone else breathe for five hours. But ultimately, it just didn’t really go any where. It’s for that reason, and a multitude of game design blunders, that I have given it a negative on the recommend.

ADR1FT
Adr1ft was a game that I practically didn’t see much positives in after finishing it in its entirety. I believe the idea of how poorly the game handled certain features was outrageous. “Walking” simulator or not, the exploration wasn’t worth the hassle and ultimately its only outstanding feature (being it atmospheric setting) isn’t enough to excuse the game for being more notably boring rather than interesting. There were times where it would fascinate me, and others where it turned out increasingly hard to pay attention due to how progressively dull this game was becoming.

ALONE IN SPACE
This game was not my favorite
It has a lot of potential though, with more development time it could be a really great game.
Pros:
-
I enjoyed the choice of minimalist sound effects. Throughout the game the only sounds are of your footsteps, machines/computers running, and wind.
-
I am a math nerd,
! so having the first password be a reference to pi was cool.
Mehs:
- The visuals were fairly good. I was running it on the highest graphic settings and it was good enough quality that I was able to loose myself in the game and was comparable to other indie games. The elements did get a little repetitive over time. Having worked in the sort of facilities as the games settings (larger confusing maze like industrial buildings) I can tell you that people would normally designate different areas with colors. The game uses a system of door numbers, but these didn’t seem to have any internal story meaning. Rather, the next door you needed to go through had a higher number than the last door you went through.

I don’t think this game was incredible, but it wasn’t as bad as some of the other reviews make it sound. Sure, it has issues. Early on you get to look out a window and see a large satellite dish beyond a wind-blown dusty landscape, which was enticing, but it’s just decoration - you never do leave the corridors. There’s also not really that much adventure except for getting killed by the randomly-timed lightning). The locations are also a little bare - a few signs would have been nice, for instance, even if just for decoration.

Star Trek™: Judgment Rites
It remains a good game but you need to be prepared for the 1990’s point and click interface.
They called these “Pixel Hunters” for a reason, you can easily overlook a small cluster of pixels on screen that turns out to be an object or switch vital to solving a puzzle. At times the mechanics of the game can be punishing and not intuitive. Playing pre-Internet it was easy to get stuck and get frustrated but now there are some good hint systems online (Like universal hint system) that give you a clue when you need one and keep that feeling of making progress alive.

Restless James Tiberius Kirk with his fellow friends again boldly go to … you know where.And if you dont know you have a great chance to discover it yourself.Fully recommended.
And i made some changes in config file -dosbox_stjr.conf- ( it can be found in the game dir.) to wide the screen
fullresolution=output
windowresolution=output
output=overlay —- you can put -ddraw- if you got green dots on screen edges.
scaler=advmame2x —- makes picture a bit softer
aspect=false —- try setting -true- if screen is too wide

Simply amazing! I search out as many games on steam that are less than one dollar as I can and at this point ive played ALOT of cheap games! Most of the time these game have very unintuitive controls and very little to no settings in terms of mouse and keyboard customization. However this game controls like a dream and has FULL keyboard remapping and mouse sensitivity settings. Of all the $0.99 games ive played this is the best by far!

3030 Deathwar Redux - A Space Odyssey
TL;DR Do you want a sandbox top-down 2D space adventure game? Do you like a game that offers you the choice of how you make your money, even if the gameplay itself is not very deep? Are you looking for a game that offers different ships, weapons and upgrade options? Do you like the 80’s aesthetics with neon lights and 80’s-like music? Do you like cheesy writing and playing as a futuristic Indiana Jones?
Then this game is for you. It’s basically a 2D Freelancer-lite.
Moreover, it is the most fleshed out top-down Elite-like game that I’ve played.

3030 Deathwar Redux is a great 10-20 hours of exciting space exploration and combat. I played it hoping for Escape Velocity, but I got something slightly different. It’s good through the whole progression, even if the game is shorter than I was hoping.
Pros:
+The game has a great feel to the space movement very similar to EV games, where velocity in a single direction continues, even if you turn your ship.
+Space exploration is amazing. Traveling between galaxies is thrilling at times, and always at least makes you think.

Apollo Lunar Mission
I enjoyed this short experience. It conveys some sense of being on the moon and observing the lunar landing of an Apollo mission, along with the deployment of the various experiments. There is some detailed information on each of the experiments.
You also get to explore the simulated lunar surface in the moon buggy, which is indeed fun. There is a fairly extensive area to drive over before you reach it’s limits with some sizable craters in places. Going too fast and hitting inclines results in the buggy leaving the surface for periods of time including rolling which in low gravity is quiet exhilarating. The vehicle physics is good and it always recovers itself.

Ayumi: Enhanced Edition

Ayumi: Enhanced Edition is a great little game. I purchased this in January shortly after the 2.55 update, and was pleasantly surprised at how well this title is put together. The game makes heavy use of pre-made assets, but it does so in a way that builds an atmosphere of horror and suspence. The scares are spaced out in such a way that the game builds up a sense of dread, and then does something shocking, which made me jump more than a couple of times. As far as content, there’s a lot of game here. You can finish this title in about an hour or so, but there’s so many little things to find, as well as alternate endings. The game’s story is interesting, and is sprinkled with bits of Lovecraftian mythos, which really helps to set the stage. This product is well worth the asking price, and the creator Lord Rutsah has put a lot of love into this title, and it shows.

Disney•Pixar WALL-E
Wall-e is not any kind of game, it’s a game that truly makes you question how you didn’t find this game sooner, it gives a completely new meaning to video games, with the amazing graphics, amazing story and amazing smooth gameplay. There really isn’t a better game than Wall-e. Wall-e answers the questions like: What is the meaning of life?, What happens after death?, Is life real?, Why does dad hit me? Etc. It really is something special… You really wouldn’t think that it’s that much of a special game at first glance but when you play it you realize more and more how fantastic the game actually is… The only con is that people might make fun of you because it’s a “kids game”, but they aren’t real friends anyways, right? So I would 100% recommend this game to anyone who seeks for the most amazing and fascinating game on this platform. It truly is something special and I think that everyone should experience this amazing experience that Wall-e will give you.

I got this game on sale for like 5 bucks, and it’s AWESOME. I had the console version of this, as well as the PC demo when I was younger, so I decided, “why not”? I was not disappointed. The controls were kind of weird to get used to at first, but I got the hang of it. It’s charming and cute, but action-packed at the same time. I definitely recommend picking this one up if it’s on sale, or even if it’s not. If you’re a completionist and would want to beat this 100%, I genuinely wish you the best of luck. Seriously.

Earth Analog
I’ve completed the game. I’m not sure how long it took, maybe 30 hours, although I made some planets more difficult than they needed to be.
You play this game for the bizzare worlds that you visit. Some really are spectacular including a giant torus, a pulsating neutron star, an asteroid that is repeatedly expanding and contracting and a spherical fractal generated landscape.
I saw many people complaining about the control system and yes it did take a bit of time to be used to. But once I got my head round it, it was fine. Although I still found landing a bit awkward. A better tutorial would certainly help which I read is on the way (Q2 2021). I also see that the same update will include mod support so I’m looking forward to seeing what crazyness people come up with.

About 13 hours in I finished the main story and I gotta say this game is definitely more about the journey than the destination, but man the journey is pretty. Game play mainly consists of exploration, resource gathering, and simple puzzle solving. The main attraction here are the worlds you’ll be visiting, you’ll see everything from mars like rocky barren worlds to endless fields of cubes to things straight of a psychadelic fever dream. On your journey through the story you’ll find upgrades for your ship (HIGHLY recommended you do these), strange artifacts, and the occasional planetary anomaly (think of the ocean planet from interstellar). Movement is newtonian physics based but with the latest patches it’s incredibly forgiving if you misjudge your distance to an object or speed since retro thrusters are so powerful. All in all it’s an ambitious little indie game that offers a bevy of strange new worlds to explore, if you’re into that sort of thing then this game might just be for you.
