Irony Curtain: From Matryoshka With Love is developed and published by Artifex Mundi, usually attributed to making Hidden Object Games. Recently they broke the mould a little when releasing My Brother Rabbit and have now released their first adventure in the point and click world.

Irony Curtain is a delightfully clever adventure in the ‘old style’ of point and click classics. It has all the elements - meaningful story, detailed graphics/animations, professional voice acting, obtuse inventory-based puzzles, mini-games, and a lot of running back and forth across scenes. It does not have complex dialog trees, which I appreciated. Instead, it has simple dialog choices and a number of cut scenes.
You play Evan - a child of capitalism who is in love with the idea of communism. Through a wild series of events, he ends up in Matryoshka and discovers that life under ‘The Great Leader’ is not what he imagined. He is thrown into playing a role in a revolution of the people and the rest is just good fun. Evan is a bumbling hero and his antics within the communist bureaucracy are quite entertaining.

Her Majesty’s SPIFFING
I’m happy I came across this clever, fresh and genuine little gem, which will actually remain between the funniest games I’ve ever played.
As a developer myself, I can only take off my hat for the level of polishing and quality this small team put into their work. Her Majesty’s SPIFFING is a much better game than many overhyped million dollar Kickstarter games I’ve played, so it was a surprising discovery, even more at a time when comedy adventure games doesn’t seem to be the most popular genre.

Buy it if you like funny point-and-clicks.
A well-built and well-written short Point-and-Click-ish adventure. ~3h for a sane and self-guided playthrough, and you can expect a couple puzzles to be sufficiently complicated to trigger the usual “WTF” moments. Maybe another hour for achievement hunters (if you follow a guide: they did not make it easy to 100% this thing, especially since there’s a max of only 4 save slots and some early decisions will prevent late achievements).
I say “Point-and-click-ish” because while KB+M is supported, I didn’t try it, instead using an XBOX 360 controller. I thought a controller might feel a bit more natural for navigating the 3D environments, but after finishing I watched some videos of KB+M gameplay, and they make that work, too; I might have preferred it.

Kony 2020
Kony 2020 is a story based Visual Novel where your choices don’t matter.
Story
The year is 2055 and Jessica Kellen, The (former) United States President has tried and failed to capture Kony for the better part of a century, trying, failing and trying again on a non stop quest to bring the Ugandan Warlord to justice, dead or alive. However, she has a problem, a big problem. The Universe, as it turns out, really, really doesn’t want her to catch Joseph Kony which is a bit of a problem when you really really want to catch him, so what can you do.
The year is 2020 and PU-Jessica Kellen, disgraced war hero who has fallen from grace more times than anyone can count has been convinced to betray her country once again, this time to help Joseph Kony defend the capital of the Lords Resistance Army, Konyville, from the forces of Tupacalonia their accursed enemy. It is here that the story begins as Bernie Graters, Joseph Konys long time confidant and Oracle rushes in, delivering the bad news. An interdimensional demon has come, and she’s out for blood.
PU-Jessica Kellen must travel to the distant lands of America, a land wrought with chaos and warfare, shattered into squabbling factions and ruled by the iron thumb of an oppressive dictator with a people more divided than ever before. Can she avoid overt yet meaningless political commentary? Can she find the strength to overcome her plight? And most of all can she save Joseph Kony?
Theirs only one way to find out.

Rage Quest: The Worst Game
I really enjoyed this game. It took me about 4 hours to complete it after searching every nook and cranny for all the loots and exploring the entire map. I managed to beat the game with lvl 13 characters, which i am assuming will be about average level for the end.
I have managed to figure out 8 of the 11 achievements now after having played a total of 8 hours, but can’t work oout how to get the last 3. I have a feeling 1 is to reach 1m coin and another is to reach level 20, but i have no clue what the third could be or if my guesses are even right!!

The game is styled after old school text adventure games, but doesn’t require any typing. Instead, STEVE is the player and he types commands to you. Your job is to interpret his words and choose how the adventure proceeds based off of his input. When STEVE types go door, what lies behind the door? The choices you make can lead him down drastically different paths, but ultimately it’s up to STEVE to win the game.

Really cool game wish it had achievements though would make it an even cooler game. Generally the best $1.99 I’ve ever spent on anything in my entire life, very well spoken plus interesting story and also amazing game play. Will definitely spend many hours playing this game later on.

Ossuary
Ossuary is now one of my favourite games ever made. A philosophical journey, something in between RPG and text adventure. The artwork perfectly suits the objective; the graphics are simplistic yet crafted with much attention to detail. The avatar you take control of resembles a marble navigating a labyrinth. The ossuary’s museum is secretly a mizmaze.
Built on the principles of discordianism, the game takes place in the lower hell, purgatorial ossuary, a place of bones. This is a place where no progress can be made, no ideas can flourish. What the wanderer must realize is that this place is the lowest point: any deeper hell exists merely within fear itself. Those who live in fear are trapped in a desolate labyrinth and remain in the dark. Once the wanderer realizes this, the unbinding begins. FNORD

This game is hard to get into.
The start of the game is dull and nothing really prompts you to continue playing, besides a few minor dialogue options. Though the game doesn’t really change from this formula, I started to enjoy it more and more as I played through.
With over 1,300 lines of dialogue, every character’s personality is detailed enough that you’ll want to explore all their possible responses.
Direction wise, this game does not hold your hand.
This is a game where you have to play it in one sitting, which is about a 3-5 hour playthrough.
