Haven is a narrative-driven adventure that tells the classic, almost cliché story of two lovers on the run from an oppressive force trying to drive them apart. Luckily, the way the story is written and conveyed is pretty damn amazing and easily takes center-stage. The Game Bakers delivered something quite unique in many ways, and it is easy to fall in love with many aspects of this flawed gem.

Its nice to see VR films like this on Steam. I would reocmmend showing this to people that are new to VR or prefer casual vr movies with filmed actors. Especially if they appreciate experimental dream-like visuals and elegant dance choreography. Its nice that there is a director’s commentary in the menu, I always wondered how they shoot movies like this.

A very interesting fillm experience with fantastic colors! Thank you for making a German version available. To me hearing it in German with English subtitles made it more authentic.

Probably one of the best galgames I had ever play, the story was really deep and rich of plot twist. The only problem that I had ever encountered in this game was the script was not really sincere to me it doesn’t capture the full meaning of the story and a little bit of grammar mistake in my opinion, P.S: it was also very short XD and dramatic. But overall the game was very fun and catchy.

Echoes of the Fey: The Last Sacrament
I will admit that I enjoyed The Fox’s Trail a bit more, but that’s not to say that this sequel doesn’t have its merits. Like the previous game, it is a point-and-click adventure and visual novel hybrid. This story involved less mystery. While it did have a mystery to be solved, the story was much more focused on espionage. More importance was placed on the romantic routes, which I was glad about.
Synopsis:
The protagonist Sofya returns, still running her detective agency. A childhood friend mysteriously returns to Sofya’s life after over a decade of no communication between them. As a daughter of the Emperor, she has many enemies. Sofya is tasked with protecting her while she stays in Vodotsk, unaware that an assassin already has plans. Meanwhile, a new character comes into the picture and blackmails Sofya into procuring a Sacrament of Tears from any source necessary. As the player would know from the first installment of the series, a Sacrament of Tears is a highly coveted item, making the task of obtaining it seemingly hopeless.

I really enjoyed this game and even though it was the first game in the series I played, I didn’t have any problems following what was happening. The only thing I might have preferred was a bit more depth in some of the dialogue when romancing Arkady. It would have made sense to bring up the relationship or at least mention it indirectly in the lasts scenes you can have with him. I replayed through my least favorite ending again hoping to see some additional dialogue which didn’t happen.
Other then that, no complaints. I enjoyed the RPG mini-game and had no problems in any of the boards even if I didn’t optimize my equipment. I just needed to find/pickup everything on the maps and “cheat” to beat the boss.

Journey of the Broken Circle
A simple but enjoyable story-driven platformer. I’m not really sure the trailer accurately portrays the context of the story but the game is fun; if the trailer or screenshots interest you, you’ll probably enjoy this game.

It really reminds me of Thomas was Alone both story and gameplay-wise with some minor differences. You’re controlling a circle instead of various rectangles through series of linear levels. The story is narrated through speech bubbles but sadly without any voiceover. If you liked Thomas was Alone, this will be right up your alley.

My Boyfriend – He loves me, he loves me not
TL:DR: Recommended only at the sales price of .90 USD for the dogs, swimming and sunbathing. If the game bugs stop forward progress you won’t be able to do much else.
I want to love this game, I really do. That I reviewed it then sank two more hours into it trying to win should say something. But there’s just so much wrong with it. For a fun vacation in paradise game it just doesn’t deliver. You and your bff have hit the island for fun and possible romance with the local guys. Unfortunately, you came with relatively little spending money if you had shopping in mind.

Bought this because I wanted to see the ‘thrilling’ conclusion upon seeing Funhaus play the game.
It’s just really bad. I can’t even elaborate because it’s all bad. Bought it as a joke, recieved a joke of a game.

Winter’s Trumpet
A lovely addition to the series, and best read after completing the first game (Asher), to better understand the characters and setting. Great art, music, and atmosphere, as per usual. Was also very nice to see the character you’d least expect allow himself to be somewhat vulnerable.

Winter’s Trumpet is a charming and short point-and-click/visual novel hybrid with a retro design and a slightly creepy atmosphere. It takes place in the same world as Asher and Tell a Demon, and players who love these games have absolutely nothing to lose by giving it a go: in fact, the events of Winter’s Trumpet take place before those depicted in Asher, and the former gives us an interesting look at the motivations of several key characters of the series. For people who haven’t played the dev’s other games, beginning with Winter’s Trumpet isn’t the best way to go, in my opinion, since it’s short and the story is a bit vague if you’re not already aware of what the main plotlines are.

Hotel Paris
The artwork and music is descent but I wouldn’t give it exceptionally high marks. The English translation isn’t great and feels a bit sloppy, at times it seems ok, but at other times it’s just blatantly distracting from the story. As for the story itself, it comes off feeling bland, with poorly developed characters and while there are some hints to a deeper story under the surface it simply fails to deliver. The story paths are too short and I feel that they could have had a much better story had they stuck to a more linear narrative and had focused more on story and character development. It comes off feeling rushed, like I read through an unedited rough draft. Even on sale I feel it’s a bit pricey for what it is. This game would need a huge amount of polish and added content and a significant improvement to the story to make me want to recommend buying it.

I was a little hesitant to buy this game but I enjoyed it. Most issues I had with this game come down to personal preferences. Id say the price is a bit high but I’ve paid more for worse, It’s basically a short, slice of life VN. It didnt blow my socks off or anything, but I also didn’t rage quit. For whatever that’s worth.
Ok… After another playthrough I noticed a few things that were a bit sloppy. Like the MC and RO sometimes shows the wrong person.

Pale Spectrum - Part Two of the Book of Gray Magic
Disclaimer: I know the creators of this game and was a primary tester for the game. I did however purchase the game myself via Kickstarter with no special discount.
As mentioned I have been testing this game throughout its development and am very familiar with the game at this point. I have gone through just about every ending/each path through the game and can safely say there should be something for everyone. I would say that if I went through the game for the first time and completed the game with a real ending (Yes there are fail/dead-end paths, choose carefully!) it would take maybe about 8-10 hours depending on which ending and how often you cut off voice lines to go faster.

I am a kickstarter backer of this game! And because 1 of my characters are in there as an extra I am already bias.
Even so I would buy this and gladly play through it. I so far have only played it once and have a lot of endings more to find as well as new characters I never got to see. I look forward to giving this another run and find the other endings and see the signficant change in the story. Though as of now I have yet to do that.
Also I highly recommended to play Brilliant Shadows first before playing this part.

Rose Seed Replica
The most heartwarming story I’ve ever seen in a lesbian game. There’s also an underplot as to how the girls ended up where they did, but it’s not the main focus of the game. Also, there’s a few strange glitches that can occur that seem to be related to the fast forward button, but they don’t break the game or anything.

Full disclaimer: I was a beta-tester for this game and I’m in the credits.
Rose Seed Replica is pretty good! It’s also really hard to describe, as it turns out. I guess calling it a lesbian love story first and an adventure game second might be accurate enough. A big draw of the game is the many branching paths within it. These paths do tend to converge after a point, but there’s a ton of dialogue to see and hunt for across multiple playthroughs. Personally speaking, I did four playthroughs, one for each of the advertised romance types. I still definitely missed out on a lot of dialogue.
