Defunct

Defunct

If you look at Defunct as just a game to complete once by playing the campaign, you’re going to be disappointed. It is very short, especially for the $10CAD price tag, with me beating the game in around 50 minutes the first time I played.

However, I soon discovered the real game begins with the Time Trials. My first impressions of the game were positive, especially with the $0.99CAD deal I bought it for, But with the Time Trials, which takes sections from the campaign and chops them into their own levels, I soon realized that these were true appeal of the game.

Gotta go fast…or at least try to. Defunct is a game about a little broken robot who has gotten lost and is trying to get home. Despite malfunctioning a little and not reaching the same speeds as his robotic buddies, with enough momentum he can really zoom. This is a simple game, most levels are just you rolling towards the end goal while some add certain goals and puzzles. A great title for those into speed runs.

Vangers

Vangers

Vangers, there are a few hurdles that you’ll have to cross to get into this game.

first is that the resolution is locked at 600x800, its a bit disjointing when you’re used to 1920x1080.

second is that the controls were obviously mapped by a programmer with very long flexible fingers, expect to spend some time slowly remapping most of the key bindings.

third it that this version of the game is lacking is any sort of manual or tutorial. expect to have no idea what you’re doing for the first part of the game. mistakes will be made.

Summary

Obviously Vangers is dated and most will play it merely for nostalgia’s sake. Nevertheless, this game has interesting features that make it stand out, even to date. If you remember this game, get it for cheap and relive the memorable times. If you’re just curious, hopefully my review will help in your decision to buy it or not.

Pros

  • Interesting (background) story.

  • Additional gameplay features, such as trading and exploring that make Vangers more than ‘just a racing game’.

Its 4 levels (4 normals 4 exact same ones hard) (hard meaning fewer blocks and dissapear after 4 seconds you touchd them) And it doesnt feel right if you want to throw yourself to reach it the boost it gives you is way to small and most time you just glitch through the blocks and not grabbing them at all wich is infuriating. this game needs allot of work.

I give this game a mixed review cause Steam doesn’t bother to add an Mixed option when reviewing a game.

Anyway, this game is not bad but not good either, just some types of minigames that you can find on browser games.

Yeah,I think that this game should had been a browser game.

I only recommend to play this if you are bored of the other games from your library.

So… almost two years later, and I’m reviewing the second game in the Cars video game series (shhhhhh Radiator Springs Adventures never happened SHHHHHHH). Let’s go.

A year later after releasing Cars: The Video Game and Rainbow Studios, after technically developing two versions of the same game (I’d say three, but Incinerator Studios made the Wii version of the first game), were at it again with an entirely new game acting as said first game’s sequel. How did it turn out?… Mixed, to say the least. Let me explain.

I cannot even begin to express my gratitude towards this video game. This video game has gotten me through the toughest times in my life. This video game helped me get a girlfriend. This video game was the missing piece in my life.

Back on one day in 2007 or 8, I played this game for the very first time on my dads computer. With the original disk. I distinctively remember letting out the biggest fart in the entire world. It didnt end up being just a fart though. It was a massive shit. I then became lost and could not play the game due to lack of interest, and the big life goals of finishing kindergarten and starting first grade.

Galaxy Ball

Technically Speaking

Settings: 3/10

·Below the sound sliders there’s a mysterious slider. It changes the weight of the ball. Turning it all the way down makes the game unplayable, turning it up makes the game easier.

-There is no option to change the resolution.

Interface: 4/10

-Many things, including the main menu, are not labeled in any way and at first it’s hard to tell what is what.

Gameplay: 3/10

+It controls fine (you can change how fine with the setting).

It’s probably weird to say for my age. I have been acknowledge the original show since Disney channel before the game was come out.

But in general why I’m into this game?? I know that the game itself was kinda not for my age. But myself, big fan of 3D platformer like this, I can’t really pull it away. Its very lightheaded game. The original show might get me into as well.

The fun part for me is just keep collecting and unlocking. Also has quite huge open-world to exploration. Racing mode is kinda fun as well. I was able get all of achievements by 2 days along play through the game. Only thing I was wish is the color tone itself, somehow not colorful as the show. But if that is the bast engine can do.
